As a drummer, Roy Haynes is the greatest genius of the hi-hat. Listen to these slick moves. Awesome! Truly a legend, and at 90, still a living legend and inspiration. The hippest old man on the planet.
With MAtrix does he mean like the 12 tone matrix or something like that ? just kinda hard to appreciate this music , though i do enjoy other jazz artist.
@DajaWaja jajajaja ese comentario fue hace un mes desde ese tiempo he profundizado en teoría musical y la escucho con nuevos oídos realmente grandiosa !
I love this. Do you ever wonder what it would have been like if Chick continued to explore this path? For me there's nothing else quite like it in his oeuvre. He's always being something (avant-guard; Spanish; fusion...). But here he's just himself. Love that impressionistic tinge to his harmonies - post Bill Evans - but still very listenable.

@menned Totally Agree!! Chick Corea + Origin – A Week At The Blue Note (Box Set 6 Cd) (1998) has 3 live version of Matrix.
My introduction to Matrix was from a special reissue of Return to Forever: Light as a Feather. it was on the second disc. !! Love me some Matrix !!
