  • Thanks for this Kevin, I have been signed up on Digg for awhile now and really not made proper use of the site - due to never stopping long enough to set up correctly.

  • likeeeeeeeeee....................ok

  • Will the digg be an app for chrome

  • @oCatacooDesigns The incorporation as seen by what Google TV by Direct TV or many televisions

  • you're a silly boy. why you ban the sites always last year? rss post on digg? yeah, right !!

  • oh nm. youre not CEO of Digg now anyway, I think bury is the main feature that users want. well at least Facebook is ok, just don't ruin that site. Venture Capital wants their cash returns, I can tell and the fact is noone in their right mind publishing small time is gonna pay for a few sponsored articles unless the price is slightly cheaper and the ability to compete against large news who will still be there regardless. a few buried articles wont hurt them if you seperate the buries from alg

  • ... who might buy a sponsored link once in a while with a little presence ability . The large news corps would still be there even with a few bad stories buried like paris story. Just adding the bury button back alone would probably get users back. Total diggs in place of only diggs even if the number is -4 diggs because of buries. I'm sure the algorithm wouldn't need much tweaking with just adding the bury feature back. just let the bury feature be standalone to let users have a say too...

  • too peer-to-peer... so new users ( or users who are simply not intested in the follow feature ) have no input. As a small publisher and not just a casual reader or person who sends a cool site to look at, I would have no way of attaining any presence against large news corps. StumbleUpon uses peer to peer but still has the bury ( thumbsdown function) still in tact,. Letting casual readers bury a few bad stories of large news corps once in while allows a few smaller good stories to flourish who.

  • Digg is broken, Digg is broken!

Its now a FaceBookGoogleTwitFuck with a broken axle

Hey Keven. Hows the traffic the last few days? Shit workin out for you?

  • my god!! THOSE HAND GESTURE SKILLS ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really like the #newDigg, and it is just the beginning, no?

  • digg is awsome will soon dominate social networking :D

  • So, what if we don't follow anyone Kevin.. ?

Or .. what if we follow people because we like what they say, not what they digg?

  • If one person RSS' it, sends it to his friends, who then digg it, it spreads to their friends who then spread it to their friends who then digg it, and push it to the new front page. This will make sites like Daily Mail, who already game the system and abuse it, abuse it even more. Congratulations on eliminating power users only to create something far, far worse, Power Sites. I can't wait until multiple users use the RSS tool to RSS the same exact site to duplicate the feed to people.

  • Useless stuff. Hot guy though. But horrible voice.

  • cant wait for it it takes too long digg stumbleupon is easier right now

  • Only question is when do all theses changes launch? I'm so excited to start using digg again, the .rss feed looks awesome!

  • [repost] @[[MayasNet|dbalieiro]]

  • Nice, can't wait to use Digg again :)

  • The RSS-to-Digg feature looks awesome.

  • wow that looks like facebook...dont like.

  • Okay, just my little opinion.

The new Digg will be majorly incorporating a social aspect yes? Well, as I am aware a lot of users (such as myself ) have an account to interact with the Digg network, but do not interact with other users (outside of the comment section), the reason for this is because I have facebook. If I feel I need to share a story, I will send it to those on my dedicated networking site (facebook, twitter, etc..).

Anyway, I've always been a fan of you K-rose, keep it up! :)

  • @JesseSlip Just to add, I thought about it, and removing the bridge of two sites is good. BUT I doubt all my friends on facebook will move over to Digg. Will their be a way to "merge"/"link" social networking sites and digg? Anyway, I'm done.

    Thanks :)

  • I like it, but it could serve to isolate groups of users and prevent showing them other related content that is not created by the people they follow.

  • Nice job. Makes Digg much more appealing to me now, now that digg is not just about stories of interest to 16 year old boys. (Nothing wrong with that, I was one once…but am no longer!)

  • FAKE

  • Digg is Dedd

  • We need a Spanish version of Digg.com Please!

  • nice

  • so what happens if youre like 90% of normal people and dont have/want "friends" on digg.

  • @LightCan exacially, i NEVER and probably never will follow 'friend' anyone on digg

  • Blah, blah, blah, gonna hang myself in the garage, blah, blah, blah...

  • I love the look of this! Great work Kevin!

  • So this means I have to actually work to get my news...

I am to lazy for this.

  • It's more of a twitter now. Everything looks nice, clean design, nice css3 rounded corners and stuff, but it seems to me that original purpose of the website's gone.

  • It's a move towards social networking but on the whole I like. I'll still probably spend more time in the Top News section, than the my news section.

  • Kevin, how are you going to stop people from gaming digg? or abuse from power users?

  • @asemh technically, if pulisher auto submit their own content, there will be less available for power users to do. The biggest flaw with digg was that it has no spider mechanism, and you have to submit everything on the web. Now it can be semi-automated. Whilst it's still no spider, publishers can automate their content submission, and so power users will only be duplicating the original publishers.

  • @asemh Isn't this going to stop a lot of that since it's about those who you think have the same taste as you, not who get's the most diggs.

  • @asemh who might you consider the power user(s)

  • But I'm on the internet and I have no friends.

  • I might have to rejoin Digg.

  • Looks awesome, can't wait!

  • Worst tattoo ever. hahahahahah

  • Twitter -like?!?

  • @irfaanfr1 Better because if you can say everything you need in a 160 characters its probably not worth hearing.

  • Love the cleaned up design...one of the reasons I stopped visiting Digg was the way-to-busy UI.

  • awesome new interface! When is the release date?

  • digg is still likely to die they need to move ahead instead of catching up to be honest :(

  • @AndrewsAwesome dont be retarded.

  • you're way too hot to have found digg.com.

    props!

  • Amazing - Love the layout and the look. Good stuff.

  • amazing, just when i tought digg was going to die soon..... lol

  • Introducing Twiggbook!

  • Definitely takes social news sharing to a new level! love it!

  • Looks Great Kevin!

  • Digg > Reddit.

  • Reddit > Digg.

  • @RayMiyagi Digg > Reddit fixed that for you.

  • So basically they are using the term "follow" and ripping off Twitter directly. Ouch.

  • features reminds me of Redux

  • so its facebook plus twitter but just for news stories

  • reddit for life.

  • This is gonna be EP-IC

  • I don't think the follower/followers model fits digg.

  • This is genius. Absolutely going for Twitters throat. Can't wait.

  • Will this fix the issue of people commenting before reading the article? This is one of the reasons why I prefer Reddit over Digg.

  • Whoopdewhoop! Looks great!

  • Awesome! will help tons to educate users on what v4 is all about.
