you r using the bitwise shifting for night rider i recently programmed it with flow code v4 12f629 it means 4 i/o ive made it 7 i/o with pic16f77 the equation base is [var=(var+1) MOD 2] then call an if statement and 2 while loop im talking only on nightrider flashing
mhh is there needed to write some program or something for chip , I mean i cant get mine to work, i think i did everything as in josepino, but LED-s wont even light up. Whats the power supply voltage that should be used?
he multiplexed them ... you can control 12 led's from just 4 ports if you use all three states of them. (High Low and HiZ). It's hard to explain the schematic. PicKit2 has 8 led on 4 ports. He actually uses 8 led pairs too.
Excellent little project mate. I don't suppose you would be able to send me a list of all the parts you used as this would be ideal for a project i want to undertake... I'm a total newb but have so far grasped the basics, a little guidance would be greatly appreciated.thanks faraz34567@yahoo,gmail,hotmail.com

@MattyNX I think he used 2x 4017 chip, 1 555 timer, a linear pot. meter (depending on the voltage used) and another 4017 chip or a relais + ofcourse some LEDs and perhaps some diodes (don't know how much these LED's consume and whether they could be powered by the 4017's output current or not).
Hello friend, I would like to receive information about how undertook this project with LED CHASER, if I can please send your code to try to make an equal,, GRACIAS,,,, luiscary (@) hot... PLISSS

Nice job for only a single PIC and some LEDs.
