  • these video's make me want to get into photography

  • Thanks for taking the time to do this, I enjoyed the more theory based approach rather than a step by step manual guide style.

Just got my self a second hand Canon 300D with a few lenses so looking for all the help and advice I can :D

  • Haha when you suggested the "floating in the ocean surrounded by seahorses" tip, i was like "oooh that's a really good idea" And then I found out you were joking. Teehee.

Thanks for all the tips! I didn't even know my digital camera had that many options, but i'm definitely going to try my best to utilize them all now.

  • your series of lessons are great, thanks a lot. I've enjoyed very much watching them and certainly will have them on mind in the future, specially with my Camera on hand.

It will be great if you could also do some Lessons in aspects a little bit more technical, like specific trics and tips.

  • thanks @Jimbacsi, you really help me a lot, may i know is it possible there's a chance i can print what u teached, u know i'm a beginner and i think i need to see/read it more often(so far)

  • Thank you so much for this series. I'm a beginner and this has helped more than you can image. Thank you!

  • Thank You for taking the time to post these great videos. I have just purchased a DLSR camera and really enjoy photography. These videos will help me improve the quality of my pictures.

  • @Jimbascsi, p.s, is it right to edit photos afterwards on an editing software (making the picture black and white ect) or do you like to preserve the pictures originality?

  • @MrDeano324 , The truth is (as those of us over 40 know), long before photo editing software appeared, photographers were "editing" their photos in the darkroom or "Photoshop." Not to say that the original image isn't very valuable, but there is no reason that the creative process has to stop at that point. A photo editing program can do something as simple as improve dynamic color range or bring out details in a shadow or something more complex like colorize individual objects. Go for it!

  • Thank you @Jimbacsi, very helpful videos, and very interesting and enjoyable too. Greetings from Great Britain.

  • thankyou for the lessons :)

  • just got my camera and this helps heaps keep it up and thanx for your time

  • I have just watched 1-5 of this series and I can't wait to try out some of these tips.

  • thank you for the tips^_^

  • wonderful and very useful tips

you asked the mistake at 4:00 I couldn't figure it out

With my 2 weeks of DSLR experience I can guess

the woman in the picture moved to the left (to her right) before the shutter closed

(if it is taken in shutter priority or manual mode with long shutter speed)

what is the location? Is it a restruant? and the lights in the background are candles? is it a candle light dinner :)

  • i am also a 2 weeks user of DSLR.and im pretty sure that the shadow that the photographer made is the mistake.its in the lower mid part of the photo.

  • Thankyou for your efforts i am a new DSLR owner and loved the lessons

  • xl2 ftw!
