Um, Ilan Pappe is a historian. Finklestein is leading political scientist, and Chomsky is amongst the cited academics in the history of man kind. Did I mention they are all Jewish? As for Lebanon itself, it appears in the Jewish Bible/Old testament 70 times, and also appears in the Book of Gilgamesh, which goes back to more than 2000 BC.
