This is a very good transcription, with all the essential elements of the piece. Have you ever considered composing an own cadenza? I have sometimes played a cadenza which is based on themes from Grieg's Peer Gynt.
Well, you can't always expect to have an orchestra to play with the soloist. Sometimes having two pianos playing the whole concerto is fun too! He's just having fun,so just relax and listen to the music he's making. You don't have to be too serious. Just my one cents. =)
Original music is meant to be changed. I could consider Kid Rock's song where he changes Sweet home Alabama and Werewolf in London a butchery of original music, but I don't. If someone can take your work and make something else out of if, then you should be flattered that someone thought your work was good enough to be imitated.
This guy rules, screw the original music, if you can forget that this was ever something else and listen to it as if you'd never heard the original, you wouldn't care.
you are fast in slow parts (the drum roll) and slow in fast parts (the first chords) and why did you sacrifice notes on the piano part to play more orchestral notes (or, that is what i presume becuase parts were lacking the solo notes)... and some of the timing on the notes do not match what were intended for the score to sound like. This is not a solo show-off piece. It is lacking a very fundamental part: the orchestra.
What the interest of playing a concerto alone, swaping from the solo part to the orchestral reduction? I don't really see the point. There is a lot of amazing piece for piano from Grieg... Sounds a bit plain. I mean, as a student performance, it would be great idea, but in a professional concert?
Sorry to be harsh, but the playing doesn't have much shape. The phrases need much more direction and contours, especially the simpler passages. It sounds very plain and level.
Wow thats amazing, actually i have just found a transcription of this song and i am willing to learn it,But i think its wrong, does it change key when the piano for orchestra part enters, because it doesnt soung right adding g sharps?

Interesting pages of criticism from the experts? To those of who do not, just let us hear with our heart as well as ears and enjoy the music.

It would be a better transcription if it was transcribed using an actual sheet as source, but mostly it's pretty nice for one being done by ear. :o

I have a piano duet version, so you could've probly used that

Really excellent. Great idea to project an image of the keyboard behind the pianist. I´ve never seen that before.

Would be nicer if you did not simplify certain passages....otherwise: nice enterprise to make it a 1-piano piece.

This is really the first time for me to hear this concerto by piano itself, sweet!
