  • This was my first RPG, I'm surprised the uploader knows it. Still have my original, even made a copy to keep it safe.

@garudoh have you played all these great games.

  • I wish to be a dark wizard.

  • amazing music

  • Music was amazing, I never got tired of hearing it.

  • No Krystal's theme? Aww.

  • This game was hardcore. Amon all the way.

  • Wow, this reminds me a LOT of Battle for Wesnoth. I bet that's where Wesnoth got a lot of its inspiration.

  • @ameryllw Yup, this game and Master of Monsters

  • Yeah this game was fantastic. A musical score of the highest level and addicting gameplay. When the SegaCD wasn't mucking around with mediocre to bad fmv games, we were treated to masterpieces like this one.

  • Wow, an orchestral score back in '93? Talk about ahead of its time!

  • @VShalak This game was WAY ahead of its time in ALL aspects. Too bad only a few of us lucky ones played it. Four endings, I probably played each one about three times...

  • I pretty much shit out goosebumps at the title screen when that awesome music with the guitar started playing. Great game too, really addicting.

  • @darkvvulf Addicting??? This game was fucking CRACK!!

  • @RedRum6x3 I'm so glad I was only 14 when I played this game, so I could throw a whole summer into playing it to get both endings, and to level up all my warriors.....sadly I don't have that type of time now.

    :-(

  • Ahh, good old Dark Wizard. Still have my copy and it works like a charm. Loved this game. All the heroes rocked, but Amon was my favorite.

  • I agree with Leishtek

  • Man I played the absolute **** out of this game when I was like 10 - 12. I don't think it really occurred to me how the quality of the music was so revolutionary at the time. And is still great today obviously. :) I could humm along even though I haven't seen or heard the game for a good 10 years. Now Imma go to ebay and buy a sega cd just for this game. :)

  • @Leishtek LOL!! That's EXACTLY what I did!! Bought the system JUST for this game. Totally worth it.

  • you are a genius for doing this.

  • This was a amazing score. What a game.

  • i love this soundtrack, and a great game as well. amon was the favorite of course, and speaking of which i have a theroy about him. for years i have belived he is actually vian, kinda makes the divine intervention thing make a little more sense. forgot how old the stats said he was...also look for vangaurd bandits 80's rock as well, if you have not already!

  • The game says age unknown.

  • Yes, Amon's music at 2:40 is embedded in my head forever from the hours and days and months of playing this awesome game.

  • Level 10, HARPY has become LHARPY.... robaralis has become a WILDMAN

  • Whenever I see or hear about this game I remember the narrator with his deep voice saying "THESE ARE THE GOLDEN LANDS OF CHESHIRE". lol

The game was fantastic, I used to play with the evil blond girl.

  • The music for this game was absolutely incredible when it came out... for those who are too young to remember, in '94 most games were using synthesized music... sega cd was way ahead of every thing else

  • absolutely, if you had a sega CD back in 1994, the technology was so mind-blowing and new

  • It's not just that though. Dark wizard has good tracks in the absolute sense. If this game was on a more mainstream console it would be very well known IMO.

  • @TheMelnTeam but then it wouldn't have had this awesome music

  • I've never played or even heard of this game, so I'm not nostalgic:

    This music is so wonderful.

  • Excellent choice of layout on the music to scenes.

  • Best Game Ever. By the Way, visit my community on Orkut - The ONLY ONE on Orkut!!!

  • thank you so much for this. i forgot the hours and hours i played this game and (geek mode on) how much it has influenced me until now.

  • I'm gonna write an e-mail to Sega to remake this game and Dragonforce on a current system. This is a gem that never got the sales and appreciation it deserves. Their Sega CD and Saturn had some of the greatest games of all time but unfortunately hardly anyone got to play these games. Maybe Sega's mistakes in the past will change since they only develop software titles now. Check out Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3 another great Sega game!

  • I will is it like dark wizards?

  • opening track sounds like an old episode of National Geographic or something

  • This game was haaaaaaaaaaard.

  • Not really, the bosses dont have enough life to withstand the onslaught you can bring upon them besides the fire boss karvak since they wanted make so you could do them in any order. They basically get stuck healing themselves and dont attack once they re surrounded. If you pray at churches you get free items, which you can do over and over to sell for money or outfit your guys with. The secret classes roadkill the game, like dragon riders. Only hard if you blitz thru.

  • stop hatein

  • How was I hating I just said the game was easy if you know what you re doing. I've beaten the game with 3 of the 4 characters, I think I have a pretty good grasp of the games challenge. It's only hard if you blitz or intentionally make the wrong races classes like dwarven mages and hobbit fighters. Its a great game though and recommend it.

  • I always lost around the middle of the continent when they do a pincer attack to you. Man, I wish I could play that game again. It was my first TRPG/SRPG and in compairison to alot of things, it WAS hard.

  • all time best strategy game ever made hands down

  • I never beat this game =(

Honestly I barely got anywhere. I did the first 2-3 battles with every character but that's about it. My save files and stuff kept getting blown up somehow and lame stuff like that, and then eventually the disc got scratched up and I couldn't play it at all. I could probably try to find a ROM of it if I tried hard enough. I would rather see it get remade/ported though. It's a game that really deserves it.

  • This is THE best game ever made by far. I'm glad someone appreciates it enough to upload the music!

  • you can play on your computer, you just need Fusion software (free) and a copy of disk, it doesn't have to be the original. 14 years later and I'm still playing it!

  • i need a copy

  • How dramatic, cinematic and EPIC!! Wow, I have to get my hands on this!

  • I love Amon's theme at 2:41

  • Is that what it's called? Cool.

  • I'm not sure what the official title of the song is, but it plays during the battles when you use Amon.

  • Okay.

  • I use to play the game disc on my CD player! good game with an amazing soundtrack.

  • favorited, such great work. thanks for posting

  • Wow... I thought I was the only person who ever played this game.

  • Me too!

    Amon for life >:D

  • Same! Though I generally used Robin.

  • EPIC.....

  • Damn I miss this game. I still regret having to get rid of it all those years ago

  • Very nice. I could imagine that first track being part of a movie soundtrack.

  • why waste it on a movie when it can be on a good game?

  • I've never played this one, but the music alone is epic.

  • @apotheosis00 Man, you're missing out BIG TIME. Imagine it being an RPG, but instead of controlling and managing 3 characters, you're controlling 32! It's half turn based RTS, half RPG. Totalling amazing. I borrowed a Sega CD from a friend. After playing this, I bought my own YEARS later, just for this game. Totally worth it. Big gamer here, but still think this music is still one of the best...

  • @apotheosis00 I played this when I was a kid. Believe me when I say, it consumed a year of my life. This game WAS my childhood.

  • Gorgeous game, great music.
