What a cute little childs toy. I want to race you with my Yamaha r6. But seriously how is the reliabilty? I owned a POS GY6 clone scooter before and it blew at 1100miles. Just curious if lifan is ok
@JISINSANE3 I'm up to 800 miles on mine. I've heard of people with over 20,000 miles on theirs, I dunno if i believe mine would last that long, nor do I intend to ride it that long. Will upgrade to a nicer 250 when I can afford it. if you are wondering why a 250, because I will be riding to work as often as possible and want the ultra high gas mileage, plus I don't really need a bike that can do wheelies by accident if you aren't careful with the throttle.
I have an old Lifan FX125 (a copy of suzuki FX125). I wonder if I could use regular motor oil 10w30. Will it cause any damage to my engine, trans... Any good mechanic out there, please share your opinion. And what is the difference between regular motor oil, and motorcycle oil.
Typically you use 20w-50 in motorcycles. Its a lighter weight oil. You can find it at Walmart in oil section.. In a pinch 10w-40 is probably fine too.
thinking of trading mine for a honda crf150f..think its a good trade? i dont have my license so this bike isnt doin me much good, they were supposed to send the enduro but sent this one instead.
What is the actual top speed of the bike, with 200cc, it should top out at least 90 mph, unless the gear are too short. If you can hit the redline in top gear, how fast are you going. How long have you own the bike, and is it reliable.
it should reach about 90 but i never had a need to reach speeds like that since i live in the city. I had it for 6 months and its reliable since a new one only cost $1300. I wrecked 17 times and yet its still working great.
I had the same bike. Acording to the spedo it hit 78mph but i dont know if it was right.
I then engine swapped it using a nationaly built yz426 dirt bike engine making my lifan the worlds most powerful lifan putting out 52hp. Stock lifan has 16 or 18 because the lifan 200 engine is a nock off or a honda xr200 engine.
i would say yes. I wrecked mine like 17 times and yet the engine never died. I had to replace the plastic but the engine was real good. Cheap on gas and repairs. This bike is good for a couple of months and then move on to bigger bikes.
this bikes engine is a clone of a onda engine so its not shit many people dont understand that and think all these bikes are shit. they really arent the only thing im sceptical on is the frame.
I like how your older brother wrecked it haha normally you'd see younger there

you use motorcycle oil because it has a wet clutch and if youuse car oil the clutch will slip.

if you like motorcross then go for it or just leave the bike in the garage until you can get a license.

did u do any mods to the engine or is that sound completely stock?

The engine is all stock. It sounds bad because of the audio on the camera. Sounds a lot different in person

Whats your MPG like? How fast? I have a longbo 150cc gy6 scooter and was thinking of upgrading to this, Is this engine a clone of somthing?
Jeremysgonecrazy 2 years ago
MPG is 70. Top speed is like 80-90. I never seen that scooter so I cant tell.
aushiasami 2 years ago
What i meant was, Is your motor a clone of any engine? Or was a developed by lifan?
Jeremysgonecrazy 2 years ago
I think this bike and another type of 200cc china bike has almost the exact same engine.
I think its Longbo or something like that

the frame is pretty descent. Wont crack, bend, or break that easily
