You are perpetuating the misinterpretation of myth; people understand WRONGLY that 'myth' means 'lie.' It doesn't; it means "because no one knows for sure, the story is made-up to transport the truth" Or something. I am a myth to you (and you to me and everyone to everyone else): whatever stories you've heard about me are just made-up to convey how Awesome it is to be my friend.
The original text of the New Test. is Greek, some bits perhaps Aramaic, but not Hebrew.
And, let's be honest. You think the many Bible experts are all ignorant? That's quite an assumption.
It's just like Islam, claiming to know better who Jesus is and what He came for. Or Buddhists et al who claim Him as a teacher, misunderstood by christians.
Oh well, time will tell, I guess...
It isn't all as straightforward as we would like it to be though, is it... ...sigh...
It may have seemed like he was bending the text and making...far reaching conclusions, but he really wasn't. As I said in my last video that I don't want to do a review of The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross because it is so heavy into language and the meaning of words that it is sometimes hard to follow. The original language of the bible (Hebrew) originated from Cuneiform (Sumerian), and using Cuneiform the words reveal their intended meaning. He just didn't expound on that part.
If it's the religious thing that seems to have you in a bunch there is another documentary that you really should watch. The first 15 minutes cover some of the stuff Zeitgeist covers but after that comes the REALLY interesting stuff. Check out my last video for the link, if you like.
So, after this new information, even if only partially true, do you still want to claim Jesus Christ as before? This documentary actually gave me more respect for the idea. How odd is that?
I think you really underestimate extra-biblical evidence (archaeology et al) and you overestimate (as many do) the Zeitgeist pack of (thoroughly refuted) lies.
You are exactly right! You should never get all your information from just one source. That WOULD be foolish. I take information in from many sources and don't believe anything without questioning it. Wise words.
tho there were other factors first, it was the realization of the messiah myths in the other religions that pushed me over the edge. i had been studying other religions for years, astrology too. and when i saw how they related to each other, christianity became just another scam.

And Aramaic also is derived from Cuneiform. They have a common source.

Hmm... To be honest, I stopped watching after some 40 min. of this typical gnostic conjecture and bending of text and wild interpretations.
Perhaps I missed the essence of the video because I stopped watching...
Btw, it's Roman Catholicism that opened most of the doors form christianity to paganism, not the Bible (the Textus Receptus that is).
For the record, I'm not saying that the Bible is all 100% true and nice, but as usual the doubts raised do not stand i.m.o.

You really shouldn't just believe Zeitgeist. I'm serious.
Look for some refutations, then decide.

It's buffering as we speak.
But, doesn't it strike you how so many (semi)religions try to claim Jesus Christ? A tell tail sign, i.m.h.o.
