  • The only thing this video shows is the kid should have been ejected for throwing helmet (its in the rulebook) and the coaches should be teaching not being argumentative and disrespecting. No wonder the kids think its okay to act like this.

  • Can't see or hear the foot hit the bag, but I can hear the ball hit the glove. I can't tell from this video if it was a bad call or not. It definitely was close for sure and too close to say that it was a "horrible" call.

  • I HATE MY HELMET...oh and this stupid cap, too!

  • Sunglasses Guy=New Cigar Guy

  • Stutter stepped before bag.

  • Nice helmet throw!! Try hitting hit out of the infield next time! Douche!

  • Bogus call...yeah, but just don't throw your helmet dude

  • man do i love kids like these! even if our team is losing i still give people like this so much shit!!!!!!

  • hahaha u guys are autistic oooh he shoulda been tossed... k faggots

  • Lil punk should have been tossed up his two coaches ass cuz all 3 are idiots!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a base hit dip shit calm the fuck down. u dont needa throw your helmet. i could see if it was a triple and it was clear as hell that you were safe

  • My coach would have benched me then and there, saying something along the lines of:

"You're upset, you're head's not in the game. I don't need players who don't think, and who can't keep their temper. Ride the pine."

Little twat was lucky he wasn't ejected....

  • shoulda been ejected, have respect for the game asshole.

  • cement ?

  • I think that the coach should correct this player instead of blaming the umpire. The call was made, the player had an unacceptable response and was not ejected. The coach needs to realize that he is there to teach more than winning, and for him and his staff to accept this type of behavior from their players is not right.

  • lol I had an umpire call me out once on a play similar to this one, but literally I was a step safer than this kid. I got ejected for throwing my helmet...and screaming at the umpire lol guess you can't do that

  • @FallingWages good story

  • wow that kid has the temper of chris brown

  • what a bitch

  • wat the hell, do yall play on concrete?????

  • he was the 9th hitter hahah

  • Lmfao the kid started crying

  • Kid should have been benched or shown the gate by the ump for that...safe or not.

  • Who's on deck?? get out there! i hate when baseball coach's (dads) tell me what to do..

  • I would have tossed that kid so quickly........

  • safe.

  • don't run like a panzy

  • everybody should've been ejected for playing on a 60' diamond when you're 13

  • haha he was fucking crying

  • wtf r they playing on cement?

  • have to admire the way the first base coach handled it. Need more people like that in the sport. I'd be willing to bet that the only reason the kid stayed in the game was because of the 1B coach talking to him afterwards. Your not getting to the majors kid, stop crying and enjoy the game.

  • def a bad call it looks like u can hear foot on bag be4 ball gets there but def should of been an ejection to the kid either way the call goes any umpire at a higher age will eject for this it is considered showing the umpire up

  • what r they playing on

  • @MrWagsthedog the ground

  • Looked like he was running in mud..I umpire as weel, Safe or Not..He wwould have been tossed, BOTTOM LINE!!!

  • The bad call was made when the umpire DIDNT eject the runner

  • cant tell cant see their feet

  • looks like they were on concrete

  • @OpenedButthole Some midwest baseball fields FEEL like playing on concrete...

  • He was out

  • The thing that bothers me is that the coaches were encouraging his bad behavior. They should be teaching the kids how to play the game right at such a young age. I hate all that unsportsmanlike crap. Everyone is going to get good and bad calls throughout their baseball career. Its baseball, so deal with it.

  • I think they should have thrown everyone on both teams out of the game, called the game, made both teams forfeit, and put the entire crowd into a bus to a maximium security prison.

  • Maybe if he hadn't run like a girl he would have made it.

I guess that's the only sport the kid could play being that slow.

  • You gonna cry about it??

  • he was safe

  • He AND the first base coach (and from the sound of it, the manager) ALL should have been tossed. At the very least, I agree the kid's gone.

  • great coaching letting the kid act that way. thatll get him somewhere.

  • Bad call or not you shouldnt throw the helmet suprised he wasnt ejected

  • it seem teh coach step up and said something about helemt being thrown the umpires should be ashamed on missing that one... or they let it go.

  • Got to side with the ump considering I never saw the base.

  • They are kids what do you expect?

  • @ginaven1 We expect respect, not little shithead crybabies throwing equipment. If the parents wouldn't have been there verbally groaning at the call, he may not have acted that way. But since the adults felt the same way, he felt like he could get away with more.

  • he didnt say anything though. I give him that.

  • @Caksman1027 He didnt have to. the helmet through said it all

  • @Caksman1027 He didnt have to, the helmet throw said it all

  • The coach at 0:19 says to the kid you can't play ball this week.

  • @Ackie157 cant play ball this way.... with that call....

  • he started crying

  • Yes he should have been ejected. Way to go for the coaches also telling the kids that it was a bad call. Nothing like enabling the kids. Any ump worth his salt would take it out on the team for the rest of the game.

  • if i were that ump i would of tossed that little shit right out the game for throwing his helmet. bad call or not....RESPECT DA CALL

  • Must be that time of the month for the kid

  • TOSS HIM!

  • when in doubt call him out, we live by that rule, get used to it

  • that little shithead should hae been ejected for throwing his helmet

  • @hxo20292 fuck off

  • @hxo20292 i woulda tossed his ass!

  • @hxo20292 you can throw your hemet in little league or pony league or babe ruth league

  • Good for the coach, telling him he can't play ball that way. Learn a little something called sportmanship. Can't see the actual play very well but contrary to popular belief, a tie goes to the fielder, thats what umpires are taught anyway.

  • Looks safe to me...but the instant little Johnny threw his helmet, he's done for the day.

  • I would of sat that little boy sooo fast for throwing his helmet.

  • if u pause it at 0:09 his foot is on the bag and the ball is not even in the glove yet. Horrible call.

  • what a poor sport

  • Needs to learn how to run. SLugs move faster than that.

  • I would of thrown the kid out for throwing his helmet. why are high school umps always afraid to throw anyone out.

  • hahhaha he wheres his hat underneath his hat hhahahah loser. by the way you rednecks should stop complaining about the call bad calls are part of the game

  • i dont get why people get pissed when they get out. i played 12u allstar baseball and struck out at least 20 times, but hit 2 homeruns! and i never got mad

  • @Lixouar hahah thats because you know you suck lol and what city did u play for in what state?

  • What's horrible in this video is the kid's swing. He doesn't even finishes it.

  • wow, hes out. its just a game. plus, how can u tell what the play was. horibel camera position

  • " I just wanted to make momma proud."

  • He should be ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct.

  • I love that the guy with the camera thinks it's a bad call too but we know he didn't see the play because he posted the video of exactly what he saw and you can't see the runner touch the base at all in the angle he shot the video. So how does he know it was a bad call?

  • @willolsson Im sure with his eyes he saw it dude.He was probably holding the camera under his face.

  • @greg12345999 he panned all the way from home to first keeping the runner in center frame perfectly without seeing what he was filming???? Either way the fact that he posted a video claiming to expose a bad call that doesn't show in any way wether it was the right call or not say a lot about his objectivity.

  • seriously dude kid needs to get over it GEEEEEEZZZZ!

  • lol.. whiny little bitch.. get the fuck over it.. maybe if you could RUN you wouldn't need to worry about close calls :D... yes he was safe...

  • he gets pissed and crys run faster

  • The kids a bad sport and had a horrible hit, on the other hand he was safe though

  • what an idiot, he's just milking the attention... u know what yes he was safe... but dont whine and cry over it ... ur out... and the fact that the coach says "terrible call", is stupid... he should of yelled at him for throwing his helmet and sat him... terrible sportsmanship

  • Hella bad call or not... that kid should have been tossed... throwing you helmet i mean come on... keep your temper in check...

  • i agree the kids being a bad sport

  • @UltimateRomo fuck off

  • you guys are blind he is already past the bag when the ball gets to the glove. it was a horrible call and I have been in the same position. I know his frustration. I was playing Second this one day and was called out in the same way then we turned a double play and the ump called the guy safe at first. Our Coach was on fire. We then found out the ump was a friend of the other team.

  • no one saying he was out, he was called out, ok but you need to understand that umpires are humans and miss calls. does not give him a right to his attitude at all

  • Not only is he out, he should have been dumped for throwing his helmet. Most leauges would then suspend him for the next game or two. The coach is an ass for telling the kid it was a bad call and excusing the kids actions after that.

  • I coach youth baseball and one of the first rules i tell my kids is they are never under any circumstances to throw their bat, helmet, cap, glove etc...I actually have kept a kid that hit tfive home runs, and pitched three shutouts in league play out of all=stars because he threw his bat on three occasions. It is the coaches job to debate calls, and the team appears highly undisciplined when one kid acts out in this way...Doesnt help when these coaches in this video appear to encourage the act

  • i only laugh when they make bad calls cause theres nothing else you can do

  • kid is bush league for throwing his helmet......you win/lose with class

  • Looked out to me. If you weren't so slow you would have made it. Were you running in quick sand?

  • What a pussy. Nice hat under helmet. But that was a really bad call

  • Pause at 0:09. he was way way safe.

  • it was a tie so u were safe

  • @HOCKEY4LIFE398 no such thing as tie

  • Hahaha just made the kid look like an ass hat for getting pissy it was a close call ... and for a low Q vid you cant really tell what it should have been ... the kid is still a bitch.

  • wow its a call u dont need to fuckin take off ur helmet and think ur cool cuz u throw it at a fence... get over it and say he made a bad call. witch he did

  • I froze it. the ball was 6 feet from the firstbaseman when the kid had a foot on first. he was clearly safe and it was not even close. volunteer umpires try, but they get it wrong sometimes. its too bad to, because the kids need better. the real culprit is the league that does not properly train umpires or hire trained ones.

  • You need to lay some of that blame on the parents and coaches as well as the leagues.

I'm pretty sure the coaches and parents don't want to get yelled at by their boss any time they are accused of poor judgement.

Speaking of poor judgement, what do you think of the Coach who puts his arm around the player and tells him it was a bad call rather than sitting him on the bench for showing his ass?

What does that teach the kids?

  • sooooooooo bushh

  • that nigga was GONE. stop cryin lil bitch

  • due to the "follow my kid, instead of the play" bias nature of the camera angle`...

    THE KID SOUNDED OUT!

  • alright, that kid needs to stop being a little bitch and stop crying because you were called out, and whats up with throwing your helmet, thats just gay, like i would not want that fuck up on my team

  • i want to know why he wasnt ejected and that damn coach should have chewed his ass out for throwing his helmet and acting like a 3 year old

  • not THAT bad of a call, it was really close but it's a low q video

  • way to throw your helmet like a little girl then hang your head so it makes it look like your crying lol

  • Jstricks you DA MAN! everyone thinks tie goes to the runner, well tie goes to the out, but jstricks explained y, so i dont need to explain it again,

  • Anyone hear that one excellent piece of coaching, "You can't play ball like that" in calm voice right away?

  • you threw the helmet on the field good bye have a good night. I always state in my ground rules if someone throws a bat or helmet there gone here is your warning. I have said it in high school all the way down to little league.

  • If an ump misses a call, you NEVER EVER tell a kid that it was the umps fault. NEVER. No matter how bad an ump was, NEVER blame an ump for losing a game.

To answer the question, it's a strike, not a foul ball as long as it is caught cleanly, any bobble and it becomes a foul ball. Caught clean, the kid can steal at his own risk

  • Safe or out, the kid would of been toss in my game

  • this kid displays class i could only wish too have... look at those dirty unis too man why did mlb teams stop rocking the black pants and hat under the helmet... the on deck batter shows good dedication too..

    waitta go babay

  • wow hes bush

  • while it did look like he was safe the kid should have been ejected immediately!!! and if im that kids coach and the umpire doesnt eject him HES BENCHED!!!!

  • no doubt, bad call, good call, or indifferent, that kid would be tossed for throwing his helmet

  • are you out of your mind. while the kid may and most likely is a complete Douch Bag. he shouldnt be ejected for throwing his helmet. he didnt even say anything to the umpire. many times players get up in the umpires face and dont get ejected.maybe you should watch some real baseball.

  • When you're that young throwing your equipment is a big no no. Mainly from a safety stand point. I wouldn't have ejected him I was the umpire, I'd give him a warning for throwing equipment, and if I was his father I'd chew his ass. But there is a difference between MLB and AAU/USSA/Little League.

  • yeah cus throwing a plastic helmet at a fence is so unsafe. stop being such a pussy.

  • it depends on the umpire really...i got kicked out of a high school game once for saying "that looked a little outside to me" to the umpire while i was batting....totally said it in a calm voice but he got a big head and kicked me out

  • thats bull shit, if i got thrown out for that i would have gone off on him

  • the probelm is your aguring now balls ands stirkes. and it states right in the rule book.

no manger, coach or player at anytime can agure a judgement call that includes fair, foul, safe, out, ball, stirke.

  • wrong he acting like unsportsmanlike conduit. whcich can be toss for throwing a helment frustation is alright but say it under you're breath you going to get bad calls.

but kids are suppose to keep there helments on intill they get into the duggout and have no right to to throw anything. but the ball.

  • do u know how stupid u sound?i took off my helmet all the time before getting to the dug out. and u wouldnt get ejected for that. i once argued a hit by pitch way worse than that kid and I didnt get ejected. the ump even came up to me after the game and told me he was wrong.

  • you can hear me typing that must be an odd sound... you must got super ears...

if you take your helment off before getting to the dugout most umpires would warn you.

if your thrown your helmenet is unsportsman like condut the team your hurting is your on team.

Well since you ask how stupid i sound lets see if you acutally know some baseball rules.

    1. foultip caught by the catcher and runner steals second does the runner go back to first or stay at second?

  • i could just look it up, but i think he stays at second.

  • if you knew anything he was over there in case he threw to thrid base.

  • what the hell are u talking about

  • i thought there was another runner on base so thats why he was over at second.

  • how stupid are you? u asked me a question and i answered it. it had nothing to do with the video u tool

  • i got no freaking clue you are talking about. i never ask any questions./

  • 1. foultip caught by the catcher and runner steals second does the runner go back to first or stay at second?

So thats not a question? wow ur dumb

  • now your just thorwing bs in that.

oh well you a pathic sole who has nothing better to do than try to toture someone else.

  • what the hell are you talking about?

  • he goes back to first cuz its a foul ball

  • how the hell did you think that is foul thats a fair ball.

  • stays at first. foul ball. but it was cought. idk

  • what a foultip is if its nick the bat and catchers chatches it the ball is alive and in play and is a stirke.

the runner if he was stealing on the play and the batter foultip it. the runner stays.

foul ball the runner retruns back

  • He looks like he was safe by a mile. He should have also been ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. The ump probably realized his mistake and cut him a break.

  • i would have ejected the little shit in a heart beat

  • 0:09 he was safe with the ball in the air..

  • I would have thrown the kid out.

  • We can't see his feet.

  • wow what a baby!! that kid needs to stop feeling sorry for himself and play baseball how its suppost to be played. umpires cant alwas be right. thats the human eliment...

  • How that funy

  • kid should have been ejected for throwing his helmet. bad sportsmanship.

  • It's easy to freeze the play and look at it all day. Try doing it on the field in real time. Regardless, if he is safe or out, that is no excuse for his attitude. And, no excuse on the ump or coaches for letting him stay in the game. He is too damn old to be acting like my 2 year old and getting away with it. Somebody should have sent him home or put his baby ass on the bench until he can grow up.

  • if you freeze it at nine seconds you can see that he is safe...

  • OMG U CAN!

we should go back in time to prove it!

  • Completely SAFE!!! You can freeze frame it and his foot is on the bag well before the ball hits his glove.

  • The only bad call made by the ump was the kid didn't pack his stuff and go home. Should have not been rewarded for acting like a little jerk by being allowed to stay in the game. At least we completely agree about this one, Dennie.

  • Couldn't agree more.

  • Is that Pete Weber the pro bowler standing on the fence?

  • shit even though he was safe he doesnt have to throw his helmet and hat thats an ejection right there

  • that was a bad call

  • The tie goes to the runner??? That's Dreamland, population you, bro. The defense always gets the call. You don't reward a kid for petering groundballs, and then not hustling to first. Nature vs. Nurture. Grow up.

  • Terrible terrible coaching. Can't tell in this replay safe or out anyways. Coaches should never tell a player that its the officials fault especially on a ground out. How is it the officials fault that the kid smacked the ball right at the short stop. The kid should have been ejected and if he wasn't any normal coach would have taken him out after throwing his helmet.

  • its funny how u think u know stuff, if you had a close play like that would you want your coach to say to you its your fault not the umps no you want your coach to say nice job it was a bad call. Its funny how im 12 and just schooled u

  • Schooled who, little 12 year old? This isn't about the coach saying bad call. This is about the fact that the player was disrespectful to the ump and to the game of baseball. For acting like a little punk jerk, he should have been ejected from the game. Good call, bad call. Doesn't matter. He should have been ejected regardless of the call.

  • i agree with that 100% what i dont agree with is that its his fault for hitting it at the shortstop

  • Did I say it was his fault for hitting it to the shortstop? If I implied that, I apologize. I am only referring to his conduct not the play at all.

  • When I played, I did have close plays but having my dad as my coach and as an ump helped me to grow up. So, I didn't have to listen to the babying of coach saying you did good. It was a bad call. I am grateful not to have that and be one of these people who say the world is out to get me. So, I don't have to be responsible for my actions. Again, very grateful to have matured faster and better than these whiny players and coaches.

  • You can't tell one way or the other from this video. The runner appears to be safe, but you can't see his feet, so ripping the umpire is pretty unfair. The batter should have been ejected as soon as the helmet came off.
