dust cover mounts are the worst idea ever. i question the sanity of anyone who buys one, especially when you already have a dovetail mount. but i quess when your only using airsoft quality junk and could care less about hitting anything its fine
@svbummin I've never actually fired the weapon with that dust cover mount on. I could see how loose it was. The reason I had it on was because you could see the iron sights through it and I could still fold the stock to the side (something you cant do when you use the side dovetail mount). That made me want to at least give it a try but after hearing nothing but bad things about it I ditched it and went back to the side mount. Now I don't use any of that, go 2 my channel 2 see new vids
@MrGlockaholic Nope. I don't have that stock on it anymore but I think I remember it being an issue. I never really shot left handed so it never really came up.
thats almost exactly what i did to my first ak which was a wasr10 as well. i have since stepped it up to a arsenal sgl21, also got a sgl31. looking to sell my wasr now with the ati. i dont know about you but does that stock seem to have a super long lop? the only thing i realy liked about that ati package was the grip, very comfortable. you should check out those sgl's
@2121gcard apparently you know nothing about guns or how they work so why don't you stay out of conversations that are months old and subjects you know nothing about puto
your scope mount is in a very bad spot for accuracy. I bet your wondering why it doesn't hold zero. the cover moves around too much to put a scope on it. when you mount a scope you want to have it on a very solid steady spot. why do you think it has that setup for a side mount? even though it might get in the way of your folding stock you'd be better off.
first off the rear stock takes the muzzle rise out of the recoil the front grip helps with cooling all he needs is a better muzzle break and the recoil will be next to nothing do your research fucktard
I have one of those Cover mounted scope rails .They simply do not ever keep zero .I got a real side mount and it fits the WASR 10 perfect and keeps zero all the time .Your rifle looks good apart from that I would invest in a better scope though .I destroyed an NcStar scope the same as that on my 10/22 its classed as a small caliber or air rifle scope
I mean, I wouldn't put this stuff on a $800+ Arsenal weapon, but then again I wouldn't beat the hell out of it the way that I have with my WASR's. I guess it all comes down to something I was told back at Quantico "If it's stupid but it works, then it isn't stupid".
I actually like the setup. Further, I'm not certain why everyone is giving you flak. The wasr is a cheap but, in my experience, reliable clone. I own 2, they both have 3,000+ rds through them and work perfectly. This kit addresses that platforms major shortcomings: a rails for optics, fore-rail for lights, a folding stock with adjustable length of pull (which most western shooters consider a "must" for COMBLOC weapons).
Dont listen to the haters, i have a wasr10/63 with the same kit, and a walther optic....If it works for you then thats all that matters....that kit looks awsome and is well made and gives the rifle a whole different feel (for the better).
What is up with all the haters and the BS? Dude buy what you want to and if the trolls don't like it FTMF's. I have the same rifle ,same stock, handguards and pistol grip. I had some TAPCO stuff but it was all marred up and cheap crap so I sent it back. The ATI stock is better than the TAPCO I had for sure. The bipod sure as hell helps at the range and the rails will hold a nice red dot to pick off the nasty trolls that seem to know everything but don't know crap, but how to waa waa like a girl.
@baltzellb That is made to hold the dust cover in place so the scope should hold a zero. But i dont own one and have heard there not very reliable. plus he has a scope mount on the side of his gun so i dont understand why he didnt buy an actual mount... mine has not mount there and i would have to have a gunsmith rivet it on.
@sheridan666777 look man the top dust cover mount wont hold a zero, im sorry for being a dick its just there are alot of people out there looking to tac out their weapons for real. the problem is that many people dont know the difference and get lost on what to buy, maybee you should let people know that so they dont get confused. if you want some advice in the future about quality parts let me know illl help you
@ukgene please dont follow anything this guy is doing with tactical weapons he doesent have a clue check out derekgrebner89 channel, or look up krebs custom on the web before you spend a dime on aftermarket parts or come check me out, otherwise your going to end up with serious buyers remorse, i dont want you to get jipped man
@bisonhawk1 None of that shit even serves a purpose? Seriously? Everything there serves a purpose and I've used everything except for the top rail dust cover mount. My AK is not used for any combat or tactical situations, it is merely a weapon that I shoot for fun. Bipod and rail mounts are extremely useful, my red dot and scope are useful, the ATI furniture is useful and better looking than the wood. Once again, this used for any combat I don't need to buy top $ products for it. These work fine
@sheridan666777 hey dude nice ak, but when you fold the stock does it hit the scope mount?? or will it not interfere with it if you have a scope mounted or an optic on a scope mount?
@joshkkv the folding stock wont stay collapsed with the side mount in place. I rarely use the side mount though, I like the iron sights, and when I need optics, I put them on my handguard rails.
@bisonhawk1 Yuck, plastic. I hate plastic. I bought my AK with plastic(polymer) furniture... im going to go buy some wood for it when i get the money =\. My Saiga12 as well... I hate the plastic, though... Oddly enough my Saiga12 is lighter than my AK ?☻
How do you like your NcStar Scope Mount? Can I ask why you didn't get the ones that mount the ak side mount. I just bought a WASR AK this week and I am looking to put a mount and scope on it. How do you like your scope? Thanks
@geiswiteb , I hate when people ask me if my AK or any other rifle is an airsoft. It's mostly people who don't understand the gun laws but they play alot of Call of duty. My Saiga is a true Russian.
just got my WASR. :) i blew a lot of money on the rifle itself so i need to wait at least a couple of months to build up money and then buy a new Stock, foregrip and so on.
u really dont need all that fancy stuff dude, if ur smart mags, ammo, a tritium nite iron sight, and maybe a muzzle brake. and i mean a real muzzle brake not the stuff tapco sells that dont actually reduce recoil & muzzle rise. a good wasr 10 is only accurate to about 200 meters max, u dont need a scope for that.
@HeretoStay33 Hey man as an avid gun owner myself I see a lot of comments like yours when going through videos.
You have to remember a lot of guys like "fancying" up their rifles
Its like a 2 guys who but mustang GT 500s one leaves his as is the other puts body kits on it and tints the windows and puts an (effective) spoiler on it
Now what do you have they are the same car and sure the one with all the fancy stuff doesnt NEED it but the guy who owns it is happy. Its what some enjoy doing.
the 10/63 wasr GP, a Romanian model variant of the Kalashnikov series of rifles. the 10/63 version is a better more high quality model then the wasr 10, since the wasr 10 is not bad, it does not have the proper tolerances to accept full auto fire so they collect these pieces and put them on export model versions and sell them as wasr 10's the 10/63 is a military grade Kalashnikov rifle that has better tolerances and can handle full auto,it is sold as a a military issue quality rifle to importers
i had a little chuckle about the bipod, just seems odd for a ak to have one. How's the nc star scope holding up for ya? I heard they're a traditional chinese made product...in other words crap. I had a few friends that had them a while back and they couldn't hold a zero to save their lives so they tried that sniper shot from mythbusters on them
hows the buttstock holding up for you? I heard the ati buttstock is a piece of junk so i avoided it. I did have to laugh at the bipod tbh, i know you're not gonna be doing sharpshooting with ak's...BUT IT LOOKS COOL!!
One more thing....how's the nc'star scope holding out? A few friends had them a while back and none of them can hold their zero to save their lives with that scope.
That top cover scope mount sucks! If you look closely you will see that the button used to remove the cover mount does not poke out all the way like it should. The side rail mounts are much better.
i would refinish the stock if i were u, i thought about plastic crap to but didnt buy it. refinishing it was fun anyways. i also went with the mako pistol grip. tapco mag. and leatherwood reddot with sidemount
Hi do I need to reuse the metal pressure clip from the original pressure stock that it came with? The metal clip from the forearm where you have to twist it 180 deg. Thanks.
i see you said you replaced the receiver cover mount with the side mount. when you put the side mount on, does the folding stock still lock out in the folded position, or does the mount get in the way?
@abeslay agreed. Trickin out an AR is pretty standard. puttin scopes and bipods and all that other fuckin shit on a semi auto AK clone is just stupid. If you read this moron's caption under tags at the end he wrote "black awesome gun". Hey I got one. How bout changing it to "Fag stupid dumb"?!
i have the same ati shit on my ak and its pretty cool but kinda looks and feels somewhat cheap. ive had people ask me if my wasr is a fucking airsoft gun cause all the plastic but it has a really great feel to it. but u cant fold the stock if u have a side rail. i can see u dont but ive NEVER heard anything good abou that mount u hav
I also own a dust cover mount but i only use a BSA red dot for AK's because the gun is only accurate at couple hundred yards and a folder really should not have optics for longer ranges. Stock is nice escpecially for transport. not a fan of clear mags....ever! Song is crap.
@sheridan666777 How do you think the butt stock would fair in a combat situation? Would it be dependable? Would you put your life in it? If you hit someone with the butt stock would it hold up? Jw because I am thinking of upgrading my AK like this.
I wouldn't use it in combat if you expect to hit people with the buttstock. It probly wouldn't hold up to that abuse. However, for shooting this stock is really comfortable.
I'm only using it for recreational shooting so its perfect. Combat it would be fine but I wouldn't be hitting people with the stock.
@TheLoneWolf258 i just put one on mine yesterday, its no different than a stock on an m4, and those are used in combat every day. it looks like the m4 stock without the cheek rest too. the stock package made the gun 1000 percent better, its more comfortable, easier to handle especially with a vertical front grip. If you are seriously expecting to hit people with your butt stock you are best off to just leave the wooden stock on it.
@TheLoneWolf258 The idea that you need a stock you can hit people with is kind of silly. It's a gun not a club. My objection to that stock is that it seriously looks like batman ate an ar15 and shat on a ak.
@MrJivePirate There's a very good chance that something is going to be happening in the United States. Whether or not it's as some speculated a race war, a revolution, etc. However something is bound to go down. Regardless, whether people want to assume a person is crazy for believing so. They already have things prepared for martial law, and there's other precautions already taken to fight such. So in otherwards, yes a gun made for combat situations is in the least a good step to take.
@MrJivePirate If western civilization breaks down, I want a reliable weapon. I want to be able to drag it through the mud, and abuse it to point of no return. Because in war, that's most likely going to happen. Sure, during peacetime I'm not going to need a reliable rifle like that as I'm not going to treat it like that. But in war, that stuff happens, and your weapon better be able to take it. To learn more about the race war, Google or Youtube "Turner Diaries".
@TheLoneWolf258 lol, just to start? The whole racism thing, obsession with survivalist bullshit... i'd say from your hatred of "darkies" and your gun collection you probably have penis envy bad... actually you should just kill yourself it's a lost cause.
@MrJivePirate My gun collection? I have three guns, but I'm only 15. And I couldn't honestly care less what your accusations on penis envy are because there's no way to prove it on the internet. However, I am very content with myself, not like it matters because there's no way to convince you., so discussing it would be mental masturbation.
@TheLoneWolf258: "But in war, that stuff happens, and your weapon better be able to take it. To learn more about the race war, Google or Youtube "Turner Diaries"."
Ah, the Turner Diaries, the favorite teaching tool of neo-Nazi wannabe terrorists worldwide................your time is almost up, scumbags.
If you are planning on using this firearm in a combat situation that requires you to be rifle butting people...you are the kind of person who should not own a firearm.
It's honestly a little frightening that your concern with attaching a collapsable/foldable stock is its reliability when used to rifle butt a person.
@TheLoneWolf258 in real life man you probably won't be hitting anyone with the butt, 1,000,000 to 1 odds you would get to hit them before you got shot. this isn't the movies. Not only that the chance YOU would even be in that situation is higher. That said it is a great stock.
@TheLoneWolf258 If you thinking about having this stock and wanting it being able to knock someonne out in close combat then just keep the wooden stock it comes with or spend a extra 100$ and get a hard metal based one they run like 180$ around there these ones are good though real good for the money and when it comes to me depending on my life with my ak 47 i have no worrys my 40 round clip will serve me well i love my Ak=)
@TheLoneWolf258 The setup for the most part is solid. Expect the handguard to warp a little if you like to empty clips the plastic simply can't handle the heat.
Hey man, I got the same thing! only I put a RedDot on mine instead of a scope.
How's that clear magazone treat you?
I got the good railed reciever cover. There's two versions and the people that complain are the one's that bought the shitty one which moves and the rivets fall apart.
That rail mount on top of the removable, and usually movable, receiver cover is not a good idea. I had one on my WASR and it would move the zero all over the place. If you can get a side mounting rail instead it holds a much better zero and groupings.
I have the exact same thing, sans the scope though. Where'd you get the top railed cover? I ask because I don't have a side mount option. I saw one (railed reciever cover) from Cheaper Than Dirt but all the reviews said it was crap and falls apart when shooting.
whats the point of switching to that railed top cover when you have the side scope mount...pointless and buy a 74 style brake as well the slant looks like ass other than that very nice wasr
I liked your ak so much, I am doing mine the same way. The only difference is I'm using a siderail mount for my scope. It holds zero better than a top cover mount. I'm also adding a grip in front.
Did you do anything to get the clear promag to feed/extract well? I just got a couple and am having a hard time getting it to feed/extract 100% of the time
i had that scope mount, the dustcover one on my wasr, but it cant hold a zero on the romanian wasr! i recomend the side rail scope mount made by utg! perfect zero!
I don't even bother with the optical accessories. I can see farther than the gun can shoot accurately, no need for a scope. I had a side mount on it worked well with a 1.5x4 power scope on it. but was weird sighting in at different ranges cause with the side mount is like 4+ inches from the actual barrel. I prefer just using the iron sights. Less bulky and not worried about dropping it. Peep sights would be even better. Whatever works though.
I actually never used the dustcover mount, except for in those pictures. I heard that they didnt keep zero well, so I put on a side mount and it seems to hold zero with my red dot fine.
dust cover mounts are the worst idea ever. i question the sanity of anyone who buys one, especially when you already have a dovetail mount. but i quess when your only using airsoft quality junk and could care less about hitting anything its fine

i see you said you replaced the receiver cover mount with the side mount. when you put the side mount on, does the folding stock still lock out in the folded position, or does the mount get in the way?
CoastGuardDOG 1 year ago
I have the same stock on the same rifle! Lol.
The folding stock is cool but it kinda sucks for length. It is almost too long when fully collapsed for me.
I dig the grip but you have to figure out a way to attach it because it won't use the stock screw.
The plastic handguards are lightweight but I think I want aluminum ones instead.

@abeslay agreed. Trickin out an AR is pretty standard. puttin scopes and bipods and all that other fuckin shit on a semi auto AK clone is just stupid. If you read this moron's caption under tags at the end he wrote "black awesome gun". Hey I got one. How bout changing it to "Fag stupid dumb"?!
foreverthreepwood 1 year ago
ya barrel mounted bi pod will affect accuracy unfortunately

i have the same ati shit on my ak and its pretty cool but kinda looks and feels somewhat cheap. ive had people ask me if my wasr is a fucking airsoft gun cause all the plastic but it has a really great feel to it. but u cant fold the stock if u have a side rail. i can see u dont but ive NEVER heard anything good abou that mount u hav

Is the scope like an acog?
MrCrunchyMunchy 2 years ago
I also own a dust cover mount but i only use a BSA red dot for AK's because the gun is only accurate at couple hundred yards and a folder really should not have optics for longer ranges. Stock is nice escpecially for transport. not a fan of clear mags....ever! Song is crap.
ak472g 2 years ago
I just bought the same set for my ak, did you have any trouble installing the new parts?
tigerfan10100 2 years ago
@tigerfan10100 hell yea i did had to resize the front grip and drill holes for the stock..
tattooman420666 2 years ago
-I've never used the dust cover mount cuz yeah it is rly loose and loses zero. I use the side mount for my optics.
-The stock is amazing. It's comfortable/solid and i can fold it for better transportation. Plus it expands which is great for any shooting style.
-Bipod for stability on sighting it in with the red dot and/or scope.
-Plastics mags arent junk. They work great, would't use them in combat but im not fighting any time soon.
sheridan666777 2 years ago
@sheridan666777 How do you think the butt stock would fair in a combat situation? Would it be dependable? Would you put your life in it? If you hit someone with the butt stock would it hold up? Jw because I am thinking of upgrading my AK like this.
TheLoneWolf258 2 years ago
I wouldn't use it in combat if you expect to hit people with the buttstock. It probly wouldn't hold up to that abuse. However, for shooting this stock is really comfortable.
I'm only using it for recreational shooting so its perfect. Combat it would be fine but I wouldn't be hitting people with the stock.
sheridan666777 2 years ago
Do you think it would break if you tried breaking it with two hands?
TheLoneWolf258 2 years ago
@TheLoneWolf258 i just put one on mine yesterday, its no different than a stock on an m4, and those are used in combat every day. it looks like the m4 stock without the cheek rest too. the stock package made the gun 1000 percent better, its more comfortable, easier to handle especially with a vertical front grip. If you are seriously expecting to hit people with your butt stock you are best off to just leave the wooden stock on it.
steelcurtain656 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 Holy fuck! Are you going to war soon with one?
TorchTexas 1 year ago
@TorchTexas With the economy going the way it is. Maybe so, you can never be to sure.
TheLoneWolf258 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 True. I guess you never know.
TorchTexas 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 The idea that you need a stock you can hit people with is kind of silly. It's a gun not a club. My objection to that stock is that it seriously looks like batman ate an ar15 and shat on a ak.
MrJivePirate 1 year ago
@MrJivePirate There's a very good chance that something is going to be happening in the United States. Whether or not it's as some speculated a race war, a revolution, etc. However something is bound to go down. Regardless, whether people want to assume a person is crazy for believing so. They already have things prepared for martial law, and there's other precautions already taken to fight such. So in otherwards, yes a gun made for combat situations is in the least a good step to take.
TheLoneWolf258 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 Combat conditions in 2010 don't involve hitting people with the but of a gun man. Tell me more about the race war.
MrJivePirate 1 year ago
@MrJivePirate If western civilization breaks down, I want a reliable weapon. I want to be able to drag it through the mud, and abuse it to point of no return. Because in war, that's most likely going to happen. Sure, during peacetime I'm not going to need a reliable rifle like that as I'm not going to treat it like that. But in war, that stuff happens, and your weapon better be able to take it. To learn more about the race war, Google or Youtube "Turner Diaries".

@TheLoneWolf258 hahahahahahahahahaha you need help, i'm serious

@TheLoneWolf258 lol, just to start? The whole racism thing, obsession with survivalist bullshit... i'd say from your hatred of "darkies" and your gun collection you probably have penis envy bad... actually you should just kill yourself it's a lost cause.
MrJivePirate 1 year ago
@MrJivePirate My gun collection? I have three guns, but I'm only 15. And I couldn't honestly care less what your accusations on penis envy are because there's no way to prove it on the internet. However, I am very content with myself, not like it matters because there's no way to convince you., so discussing it would be mental masturbation.

@MrJivePirate
If you were ever in a situation where you had to carry it all day, or carry it concealed beneath clothing, you would appreciate the folding stock.
IndianaJesusfreak 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258
If you are planning on using this firearm in a combat situation that requires you to be rifle butting people...you are the kind of person who should not own a firearm.
It's honestly a little frightening that your concern with attaching a collapsable/foldable stock is its reliability when used to rifle butt a person.
Entity412 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 in real life man you probably won't be hitting anyone with the butt, 1,000,000 to 1 odds you would get to hit them before you got shot. this isn't the movies. Not only that the chance YOU would even be in that situation is higher. That said it is a great stock.
Gumbie2009 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 If you thinking about having this stock and wanting it being able to knock someonne out in close combat then just keep the wooden stock it comes with or spend a extra 100$ and get a hard metal based one they run like 180$ around there these ones are good though real good for the money and when it comes to me depending on my life with my ak 47 i have no worrys my 40 round clip will serve me well i love my Ak=)
404040c 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 if you have a original wood butt stock you can always get it iron or steel plated the lasered black, less comfort=more durability
TheStiglit 1 year ago
@TheLoneWolf258 The setup for the most part is solid. Expect the handguard to warp a little if you like to empty clips the plastic simply can't handle the heat.
AskHack 1 year ago
What exactly was the goal here? I wouldn't recommend anyone build an AK like this if you care about accuracy.
The dust cover mounted optics system is a really bad idea since it is probably the most loosely affixed pieces of any AK.
The ATI stock is great if you wanna look really cool, but comparatively is a flexible stock.
Any portability you gain with the folding stock you lose with that giant bi-pod.
Don't get me wrong this is a cool LOOKING gun, but what are going to use it for?
aberry54 2 years ago
those two screws on the back of the dust cover tighten VERY tight and stay there while shooting
that metal strip under the rear sight also holds it down
if you assemble it properly it will be steady

Hey man, I got the same thing! only I put a RedDot on mine instead of a scope.
How's that clear magazone treat you?
I got the good railed reciever cover. There's two versions and the people that complain are the one's that bought the shitty one which moves and the rivets fall apart.
Oraenxienael 2 years ago
@Oraenxienael im thinking on getting one of those covers, wich one you recomend?
egamir 2 years ago
Get the UTG Weaver style one with the scope rings. The rivets fall out of the other one.
I didn't use the scope rings so I took one and used it to mount a flashlight on my AR.
Oraenxienael 2 years ago
@Oraenxienael thanks!
egamir 2 years ago
Agreed. I never actually used that top rail mount during fire. I had it replaced with a side rail mount before I took it shooting.
sheridan666777 2 years ago
That rail mount on top of the removable, and usually movable, receiver cover is not a good idea. I had one on my WASR and it would move the zero all over the place. If you can get a side mounting rail instead it holds a much better zero and groupings.
MilitantDanny 2 years ago
why do people say an ak47 cant have a scope on it.
boatman2cool 2 years ago
I have the exact same thing, sans the scope though. Where'd you get the top railed cover? I ask because I don't have a side mount option. I saw one (railed reciever cover) from Cheaper Than Dirt but all the reviews said it was crap and falls apart when shooting.

I liked your ak so much, I am doing mine the same way. The only difference is I'm using a siderail mount for my scope. It holds zero better than a top cover mount. I'm also adding a grip in front.
robertgamblin 2 years ago
My WASR-10/63 has the same scope, only it's mounted using a side rail attachment.
How well does yours hold a zero? I get 2" groupings at 175m with mine.

Oh crap. WASR or Ruger 10/22???
GalilxG3 3 years ago
I got a AK 47 WASR a few days ago, Where can i get some accessories like these?
mikevanross69 3 years ago
I don't even bother with the optical accessories. I can see farther than the gun can shoot accurately, no need for a scope. I had a side mount on it worked well with a 1.5x4 power scope on it. but was weird sighting in at different ranges cause with the side mount is like 4+ inches from the actual barrel. I prefer just using the iron sights. Less bulky and not worried about dropping it. Peep sights would be even better. Whatever works though.

i dunno how u keep that thing zeroed, i couldnt keep a red dot zeroed on that dustcover rail
njginz 3 years ago
I actually never used the dustcover mount, except for in those pictures. I heard that they didnt keep zero well, so I put on a side mount and it seems to hold zero with my red dot fine.
