  • As a lil girl becomes a big girl, she will naturally produce in her lifetime the equivalent of only one tablespoon of estrogen.Hormones work on a nanomolecular level, which means that it takes only a billionth of a gram to produce a powerful biological effect.Should little girls be encouraged to pop estrogen, progesterone,&prolactin pills each day?If they drink cow's milk, that is just what they are doing. If they eat cheese and ice cream, they ingest concentrated forms of these hormones

  • :)

  • hey there i will be stoping dairy!!! I've wanted to for ages but just don't know what to have instead of it to get my calcium act. also is goats milk ok or? thanks so much for sharing :0)

  • @AngeliquesLOVE alpro soya milk i find is the best, full of calcium and vitamins and made from non gm soya beans, from sustainable resources, there are lots of different brands of soya and rice milk, the only one i like is alpro, i find most of my cows milk drinking friends don't even realise they are drinking it until i tell them :) it's nice and creamy with no pus, blood, hormones, antibiotics in it like cows milk. alpro also do chocolate soya milk which is amazing!

  • Yes number 3 is a good reasonm it's unnatural, humans stop producing lactase to digest milk as they grow up. Number 1 is a very stupid reason, if that was the case then babies would not be able to develop bones because of this net calcium loss from dairy.....

  • Thank you TOM. Very informative. I dont eat dairy or meat, because of the acidity problem you mentioned and also all the damn hormones. Im a woman n soon found myself with a lot of facial hair. As soon as I cut dairy n meat out... I dont have that problem anymore. Maybe if humans didnt tamper with the milk it might still be good. but im not going to figure that one out...

  • Tom, you just got schooled beyond belief by 0908995s. I like to pick up heavy things and set them down again every day. Then afterwards i drink lots of milk. Then i eat lots of meat. This helps me build muscle so i don't look like a skinny little shit like you. Also if you are into living "naturally," don't you live in a house? made of man made materials? I bet you eat some kind of processed carbohydrate source too...hmm...

  • @toptrump890 wow who educated you? does your mother moo?

  • ~~~Everyone should read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell. He makes a pretty convincing point on avoiding meat and dairy.~~~

  • coneynyc, Don't forget Denise Minger she debunked his theories. Every way swings both ways. If it doesn't work out for you, don't do it.

  • Tom you are a fucking cunt. 1 IN 3 milking cows have mastitis?? have you ever worked on a dairy farm?? clearly you have no idea what you're talking about and my cows live perfectly well thank you very much. They're better kept than any wild animal. i don't know what you're definition of living naturally is. i suppose u think they'd like to run free given the chance? well every milking time the cows are eager to be milked and become restless if i'm late. maybe you should do more research shithead

  • Hi Tom,

In response to your first reason for not eating dairy products, yes, to digest the protein in milk, and every other protein for that matter, calcium levels in the blood are raised. This is due to the effect of cholecystokinin, which controls pancreatic juice release (the chemicals which are used to break down proteins in the small intestinal lumen. An example would be trypsin-but more on that later.) however the calcium in the blood is not lost, and the calcium from the milk is absorbed

  • back into the bone. An interesting side note- as I understand a large proportion of a vegan's protein intake is soy; that which is derived from the soya bean. However it has been found that a high dietary intake of soya protein inhibits trypsin, resulting in interdigestive phase cholecystokinin release, leading to an increased incidence of pancreatic cancer.

  • In response to your second reason, I must firstly ask where you have obtained your facts on mastitis? According to DEFRA, it is estimated that 20% of cows are carrying clinical, or subclinical mastitis. Secondly, I need to correct you on the cause of mastitis- it is caused by a bacterial infection, mainly staphylococcus, streptococcus or E. coli. Cows which are diagnosed with mastitis are treated with antibiotics and their milk is dumped. Thirdly I address your shock statistic of

  • "400 million pus cells". There is no such thing as a "puss cell", mastitis causes increased levels of serum proteins, enzymes and necrotic epithelial cells which are a result of the immune response to the infection. Can i also draw to your attention that there are around 1x10^24 molecules in a litre of milk, so 400 "cells" is aproximately 1x10^-14% (0.000000000000001%). I think anyone would agree that this is insignificant. How do you define a natural life for a cow? Cows in the UK dairy

  • industry are outside eating grass during Spring, Summer and Autumn, and when grass supplies in the field low and not of sufficient quality they are housed inside over the winter where it is warmer, and more comfortable- every cow has a mattress and sawdust to lie in. They are fed grass which has been cut in Summmer and stored and is supplemented with cereals such as barley and other plant products such as soya. Cows in the UK are not fed any hormones or growth factors.

  • Finally, I think it is a completely blindsided argument that you are placing the sole responsibility of high incidence of Diabetes and Breast Cancer in this country on consumption of milk. Diabetes is due to a multitude of interrelating factors, mainly the excessive consumption of sugar in our culture. With respect to breast cancer, I feel it can be more easily explained by the Oncogenes BRCA 1 and 2 (genetic disorders).

p.s. that hat makes you look like a twat.

  • Links please ^^

  • Good stuff, way to get the word out there. By the way have you read "Whitewash" by Joseph Keon, he makes some of the same arguments you were making as well as numerous others. I did a quick review on the book, it was a highly informative read and he cites from some pretty reputable sources like Lancet and BMJ.

  • TSM0356 i think you are great with your videos, thats absolutely right what you are saying. We were never meant to eat animal flesh of any kind, God gave us all plant based foods which are suffecient for our health and well being. We dont need any thing else, because today meat flesh is consumed in large amount, we also have more diseases and cancer. so keep up the fantastic work,

  • What is the point of the last statement about rates of breast cancer in China, where dairy is a rarity?

  • you look sick, ...really sick...... would you eat a bovine that died naturally? a grass fed happily died cow that accidently fell into a campfire .....naturally of course? "cause of death omitted" what is the harm of ingesting meat to extract the elements of the aforementioned bovine to incorporate and build necessary structures in your body. you have muscles, so do animals. the components are readily absorbable. don't be afraid. i don't know anyone who died of meat poison.

  • In 2007, only 2.8 percent of U.S. greenhouse emissions came from animal agriculture, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. This number has remained nearly constant since 1990, which is impressive considering the U.S. increases in meat production of almost 50 percent over the same time period.

  • @waratahNSW I think you're forgetting all the land and grains they farm to FEED the animals and the damage that causes to the environment

  • Anther thing you shold know for not eating dairy is that cattles are are artificially inseminated (made pregnant) just so more more milk is produced, which is just sick and unnatural.

Also, i wonder, what happnes to the baby that if the result of the artificial insemination? Does the mother get to keep it?

  • @Rikku2250 No, that's why dairy farms either keep calves on the property in a separate area, or they sell them immediately to other farms, for human consumption (veal)

  • @ByeByeBelly

Ugh, thats disgusting. y brother order val at a resrurant once. I did not want to sit at the same table as him, because he was eating a baby that had proberly being stuffed in a tiny, cramoed space for its short, four-month life.

  • In 2007, only 2.8 percent of U.S. greenhouse emissions came from animal agriculture, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. This number has remained nearly constant since 1990, which is impressive considering the U.S. increases in meat production of almost 50 percent over the same time period.

  • You are correct on all counts. People don't realize that eating meat and dairy (protein) causes acidic buildup in the blood. Calcium neutralizes the protein to alkaline the bodies PH balance. My main page video has some scientific studies under the video description. Dairy causes, acne, osteoporosis, breast and prostate cancer. Milk does not do a body good.

  • From Peta's own web site:

But here's a surprise: Much of the oil used in America is used to produce meat. It takes approximately 10 times more fossil fuels to produce meat than to produce vegan foods"

Is there no limit to the lies and garbage that Peta will spread, to promote veganism.

Any body who believes this crap has shit for brains, and that's a fact

  • @waratahNSW You're absolutely spot on man. PETA are an embarrassing bunch of idiots and terrorist funders.

  • Puss cells? Uh...Ew.

  • I don't appreciate your comment that all cows are treated like robots, this is not true. I grew up on a diary farm, and we treated our animals with respect, because we knew that they were our main source of income.

Although I don't agree with much of anything else that you said, thanks for sharing your opinion. :)

  • @derek402 You treated them with respect? What respect did you show them when you killed them because they didn't produce sufficient milk to be profitable?

  • you don't look very well chap, you ought to have a drink of milk

  • i know everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but your a stupid wanker who should keep your opinions to yourself!

what the hell do you know?

  • your cute:)

  • @cdsabino I agree. TSM is quite cute.

  • i am a british dairy farmer and i know the comments on this video are untrue. because in the UK growth hormones are banned. mastitus is caused by enviromental factors not by over milking as you say. On are farm mastitus is prevented by number of means

  • Wow. That's disgusting! I don't drink plain milk from the glass anyway though. Nice video!

  • fag

  • It`s incredible that with countless studies showing that milk builds higher bone density, there are still morons like you that question it.

  • @leafyutube I bet you think Monsanto's a great company then.

  • Why don`t you address the point? An overwhelming number of studies show that greater milk intake increases bone density. Why are you then spreading these lies? Stop posting bullshit!

  • your right. iv worked in this sick cruel "industry" so i think im qualified to agree with you. if ppl could see and hear what i have theyd be vegan by supper time.

  • tool

  • Thank you very much for your post. It was informative and you are handsome.

  • @MaccrossPlus First off, I am American and I am vegan. I consider myself smart enough not to make ignorant statements like yours, and if I didn't I would at least have the decency to use proper grammar.

  • your a gay cunt....

  • LOL idiot people who eat meat only end up death, you CAN'T eat meat only, and if you think you can just try see how long you last

  • i will eat even more meat make to make up for what your not eating i think i want a burger hehehe

  • @ekem13 But you'll eat yourself to death and I'll live longer. It all evens out in the end my friend.

  • you do know if cows weren't milked they would die . Now i'm not trying to be negative or nothing im just being realistic when i say england will not be meat free by 2060 with so many meat eaters

  • I think cows got along fine without the interference of humans :) and they get "milked" by their babies drinking it. We force the cows to get pregnant over and over again so we can use the milk for ourselves, that is not how nature intended cows to be milked.

  • @Eggbert999 They may not be meat free by 2060, sure. But cows will die if they aren't milked is absurd. It's like saying your mum would die without breast feeding. Cows that live natural lives feed their young until they are weaned.

  • @Eggbert999 You do know that in nature, the CALF would drink the milk!

  • I agree with you in the sense that its not really natural to be drinking milk from another animal but i don't really think it has THAT much of an effect on breast cancer. I think it has more to do with genetics and diet in general and not how much milk they drink.

  • Excellent!!

  • I have two problems with milk it cost too much and without large amounts of unhealthy fats its not particularly good tasting. Skim milk yuck!

  • And what is Creatine? It's 3 combined amino acids... Arginine, Glycine and Methionine. And you can get arginine, glycine and methionine from plant foods. You can get every single amino acid from plant foods, including the essential aminos, which are then used in the liver and somewhat in the kidneys to synethesize every amino combination and protein that your body needs to function.

    -Nutrition degree student :)

  • Well i belive docters who spent many years in medical school when they say milk is healthy.

  • Most doctors are taught that milk is good. We all grew up with dairy being a food group. The bad thing is is that most of the "research" that tells us of the benefits of milk is paid for by the same people who sell milk. Also most doctors are not trained in nutrition.

  • Doctors spend many years in med school but they do not spend hardly any of that time on Nutrition. If we believed everything doctors believed. We would be dead. So many pharmaceuticals that were deemed 100% safe are now banned, foods that were considered healthy are now unhealthy etc.

Milk has a high level of calcium IN it, but the form of calcium from milk is not effectively absorbed by human beings. It's the wrong constitiution for our bodies, because we are not cows.

    -Nutrition student

  • @ByeByeBelly

    That doesnt mean anything.

For example for every 100grms of mllk has 20 grms of calcium and every 100 grm. of veg. has 0.5 grms. So even if the vegs. So even if I absord all the calcium from the veg Im still getting much less than from milk.

  • @paladinee That's total crap. Are you comparing milk and LETTUCE or something??

  • @ByeByeBelly

No. im comparing calcium levels of milk and veg. since someone stated you use the calcium in veg far easier than the one in milk

  • @ByeByeBelly Calcium is calcium. There is only one form of calcium. How well it is absorbed is dependent on myriad factors within the body. It's people like you that are the reason why nutritionists are not taken seriously by any profession other than themselves.

  • @Benjomatic erm I've NEVER heard anyone say they don't take Nutritionists seriously lol. wtf?? I'm doing a 4 year degree, it's a bachelor of health science... how could it not be taken seriously? Nutritionists work alongside many other healthcare professionals... in hospitals, in clinics... so I think your bias is making you speak nonsense

  • @ByeByeBelly Hang around with a lot of nutritionists, do you?

  • @Benjomatic I'm in the 2nd year of my degree

  • Comment removed

  • To be honest TSM to reply to your earlier comment as regards me knowing nothing about vitamins or minerals. That's not strictly true. I know that they are required. If you want to debate the benefits of vitamin K, I've frankly got more interesting things to do.

You WILL always have to live with the fact that some people enjoy meat. It's fine having an opinion, but the concept of a meat free country is at best delusional and at worst, slightly mental.

  • if you know about vitamins and minerals, then please explain what part of a plant diet is deficient in vits and mins?

so far your arguments against me is that im slightly mental.

dont you have science to back up your claim>???

    cheers

  • @TSM9356 Haha did you even read what he said? He said the CONCEPT of a meat free country was mental not you. Which is true. We are carnivores by instinct. We eat meat like a majority of the species in the world. You think you're being noble? Also you should read up on the process of making milk. You'll realize that milk is tested MULTIPLE times for anything that could harm us. Milk is cleansed before it gets to us.

  • @readein No. We're NOT CARNIVORES. We're OMNIVORES.

If milk is so 'natural', why does it have to be tested MULTIPLE times?

As for your comment about the concept being delusional, it's obvious that he/she was suggesting that TSM was delusional because, as far as I'm aware, concepts don't have minds therefore cannot be delusional.

  • @marcluc1988 Milk is tested multiple times to ensure safety not nessicarily because it is harmful. By the way being a smartass doesn't make me wrong. By concepts being delusional meant that if someone beleived said concept that they in turn would be delusional. How about take 5th grade english class before you decide to sound smart.

  • @readein @readein Hello. I wasn't trying to be a smart arse.

I knew exactly what you meant. I can't comment any further because I can't find your original message and I have to rush out.

    Take care.

  • Also, with regards to your comment regarding the profligacy of breast cancer in British women. Have you taken into account any lifestyle factors OTHER than milk? I'd recommend you stop taking frigging student loans out to buy shit hats and eat some NATURAL sources of protein.

  • i bought that hat before i came to university.

  • YOUR ignoring MY somewhat valid point makes ME chuckle. Congratulations on the hat though.

  • hahah how can u possibly tell my health from my face?

    your ignorance makes me chuckle.

you have absolutely no idea about minerals and nutrients do you? what does meat give you that a plant based diet doesnt?

  • Creatine.

  • @Benjomatic "The human body requires more than green leafy vegetables to function correctly." I agree but oranges, beans, nuts, strawberries, carrots, potatoes are also vegan and certainly not green and leafy. So, your comment is very limiting.

Despite what you may think, vegans are not all idiots and they would stop being vegan if they thought their health was at risk.

If my doctor told me I had a deficiency of a nutrient, I'd find out a good source and consume more of that..

  • @VeganInTheVillage I find it highly unlikely that a vegan would just cave in and quit irrespective of being woefully malnourished. In my experience vegetarians and vegans in particular, are self-interested dullards that love to extol the virtues of their incredibly banal dietary habits, to people who would for the most part, happily push them out in front of an oncoming train.

I have far more respect for people who keep their lifestyle choices to themselves. Food or otherwise

  • @Benjomatic Would you have far more respect for someone who let child abuse continue but just didn't do it themselves?

I tell the world for exactly the same reason.

  • @VeganInTheVillage Typical massive look-at-me overreaction. How in God's name is enabling child abuse a lifestyle choice? You are a moron.

To answer your other question, not that it warrants answering, my partner is a doctor, I'm sure if there was anything noticeably wrong with me she'd be more than capable of diagnosing it, or at least pointing me in the direction of someone who could.

  • @Benjomatic I get so many people like you telling me it's bad for me that I decided to go and see a qualified dietician. Now. She says as long as I maintain cerain levels of nutrients, I'll be fine. Okay.

Would I listen to some anonymous anti-vegan on the net or someone whose credentials I can actually check out?

Why don't YOU get an appointment to see one and ask them?

  • @Benjomatic Did it ever occur to you that vegans/vegetarians eating habits are actually UNselfish?

  • @ByeByeBelly

What are you talking about? I never once said they were selfish.

Self interest and selfishness are two different things.

  • @Benjomatic just think, cows and horses eat grass and they get enough protein to live healthy. so why cant humans, plus since its 2010, there are "soy powder milkshakes" you can buy anywhere, that give more then enough protein. and who says all he eats is "green leafy vegetables" , i mean, there is much more vegan food then plants. go fuck your hat Benjomatic ; )

  • @eyesofthelotus Cows have four stomachs you moron. They're hardly a suitable basis for comparison versus human eating traits. Shove your veganism up your arse. I'll eat what I eat, you eat what you want to eat, and you can fuck off and not talk to me about it again, ever.

  • @Benjomatic wow your one grumpy mother fucker. and yes thats right, you eat what you want. i wasnt even FUCKING TALKING ABOUT YOUR DIET you dumb mother fucker. or my diet for that matter. if you dont want to talk about "veganism" then dont post stupid fucking comments on vegan videos, cause if you do , expect someone to reply back. you fucking baby

  • @eyesofthelotus Cool story bro.

  • @Benjomatic Being a Vegan does not cause you to eat less. You decide yourself how much you eat. Thus, even as a vegan you CAN eat more than your body needs. Being vegan has nothing to do with it.

Also, vegans eat much more than green leafy vegetables -- grains, beans, legumes, vegetables, fruits, berries, etc are ALL part of a vegan diet and there is a huge variety to choose from! Animal products could never provide such variety.

  • @AngelAboveSin ...and then I found five dollars.

  • u look ill

  • you should be a doctor if u can diagnose people from their face. you'd make a lot of money.

  • I bet most viewers think that you're exaggerating! :)

But in fact this is just a short summary. There is also bovine leukemia and bovine aids virus in many regions. And even if we're lucky enough to have the enzime to digest lactose, our body can't handle the resulting galactose. Lastly, there are other autoimmune diseases (besides diabetes) that can be triggered by dairy.

For a detailed lecture search for "Udderly Amazing" in Google Video; though this is from a controversial figure.
