Good news for us in the Denver area. But as a Realtor/investor myself I can tell you that good investment properties are tough to get, lots of competition from investors!
SEATTLE, Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Baristas Coffee Company, Inc. (OTCPK:BCCI.PK - News) announced today that the filming of a reality show currently in its initial stages of production about their drive through coffee chain likened by some as Starbucks meets Hooters, will commence the second week of February.
M&M Productions will produce and Mark Teitelman will direct, according to Barry Henthorn, CEO.
"The show will be a character driven, drama-filled adventure and a true soap opera, said Mark Mayer," CEO of M&M Productions. The first season will take place in Seattle, Baristas' home base. In Seattle they have six locations and a mansion called the Coffee Castle. The girls, called Baristas will compete with each other in a series of challenges to determine who gets the best shift (girls can make up to $500 a day in gratuities) and who gets to live in the opulent Coffee Castle
I spent part of last week in Denver. I was overwhelmed by how friendly everyone is. That can't be trained. It must be that they are simply happy. I flew in and landed during the third quarter of the Broncos-Steelers game and hung out in teh airport bar to watch the fourth. the place was going nuts.
This makes me less than happy... Denver is our secret! Stay out!
Just kidding, but seriously... if you move here you have to cheer for the local teams. No one cares that you're the 9 billionth person to move here from some crappy town like Detroit or Philly and like the Wings or the Phillies.
Yes this is exciting news. However, in a market where local investors are finding inventory low, any investor coming into this market to purchase single family homes to rent need to understand the initial purchase price will be higher and the profit will be made on the (cash flow) carry of the property.
With average single family home prices 11% below the August 2006 peak in Denver (Case-Shiller), huge rental demand, and interest rates hovering below 4%, now is definitely the time to take advantage of the market fundamentals in Denver. - Red Door Properties (RedDoorDenver)

I can personally confirm this. Inventory is low. Interest is low. Market is stable. This is opportunity knocking!
