What a genius, one immense musician. THis is so amazing...Tried to hum along his solo at intro, good luck if you try. It's like finding out that your voice needs yoga...In solo of intro, notice how long sentences are punctuated with one beat of deep drums in the back, it's the first time I noticed that in a raga.

A friend had to lay down in pure meditation and relaxation. Zakir Hussain is of course of the same level, and it's the conference of the gurus.

I have heard L Shankar's Violin Concert which was on an cassette. This was around 25 years back. Still now I am unable to find out. It was so soothing. What a pity... India has failed to recognise him... What a Musician!!!!

@pavyen That is not true at all. L Shankar was a highly regarded artist in the Classical music field in India. Besides, he later moved to America and branched out into fusion with other kinds of music.
