I'm glad i found this song & the mystery is solved as to who sung it. I actually caught the ending of it on MTV's One Hit Wonders a few nights back. I first heard it when i was 7 in the late 80's at the Wings store that used to be across the street from the Myrtle Beach Pavilion amusement park. It's cool how little memories like that stick with you when you're young. Hearing this song definately took me back to that day i was in Wings shopping with my parents. lol
I think this is quite beautiful and done in very good taste. It does have an edge to it, so does the original song. This version just brings it out more.

I am just rediscovering Mike Scott and The Waterboys and YouTube clips like yours have helped me to sample their vast catalogue. Goldensalamander, try this: open a YouTube window with The Church's original video for "Under the Milky Way. Then open a second YouTube window with Janusego1's super-cool video above, so that it appears over The Church's video, but mute The Waterboys song. That way, you can watch Janusego1's video while listening to the "Milky Way" tune, as you previously were able to before the numb-nuts at the record company disabled the audio for it.

Well breastimus, you can take up for these record labels if you want but up until about 3 years ago I would buy new retail, I probably have bought over 500 albums. Over the years I probably have spent $7000.00 worth of music. Never again will they get one dime from me and yes, I have been known to put patch cable on my tuner and tape a song, and there is nothing the labels can do about it. they can come after me if they want, bring a warrant

You can get around the audio suppression for this video by opening two YouTubes and playing the actual song on one and the running the video (turning off the sound) on the other. Works great if your computer handles it.
I haven't bought a new CD for some years because the record companies are only greedy for the quick penny and are against music art. If they wanna go ahead and censor all music posted on the net, well, go ahead... hrad work, like putting doors in the country-side or building a swimming pool in the ocean... what they are achieving though is to create a new majority, a new generation of music users outside their "system"-- time will tell who wins this war

I agree. I have often bought CDs after hearing something new on Youtube. It is a great way for new customers to learn about music before they buy it. I too will not purchase anything from WMG and I will recommend that everyone I know does the same. This is the kind of reasoning that has caused our economy to be in such bad shape. I uploaded a video with a copywrited song and they said something about it and claimed they owned the song , but the didnt remove the video. I posted another video on myspace and they removed it and I had to read the TOS to get my account back.

They act as a middle-man and jack up the price on the art so they can become a billion-dollar industry. Well breastimus, you can take up for these record labels if you want but up until about 3 years ago I would buy new retail, I probably have bought over 500 albums. Over the years I probably have spent $7000.00 worth of music. Never again will they get one dime from me and yes, I have been known to put patch cable on my tuner and tape a song, and there is nothing the labels can do about it. they can come after me if they want, bring a warrant

If what you are threatening them with (Stealing music off the radio) were a problem then I'm sure they would be doing things about that also. You can get around the audio suppression for this video by opening two YouTubes and playing the actual song on one and the running the video (turning off the sound) on the other. Works great if your computer handles it.

I agree. I have often bought CDs after hearing something new on Youtube. It is a great way for new customers to learn about music before they buy it. I too will not purchase anything from WMG and I will recommend that everyone I know does the same. This is the kind of reasoning that has caused our economy to be in such bad shape.
