Hello, I just bought this recorder.. I was wondering if anyone can help me out. Im very happy with this but when im playing the lines come up when the sound bars go high. So either my voice or my guitar track will go up and the line will pop up. Now in previous recording i remeber a problem with clipping. Does the lines mean its clipping? It doesnt sound like it is through my headphones but im scared when i put on my computer or cd it will have that clipping noise. hope that made sense.
@dmarco46 YEA BUT IT SAYS I HAVE TO SAVE MY FILES TO THE FAT PARTITION BUT WHEN I GO INTO SD INITIALIZATION IT TELLS ME ALL FILES WILL BE ERASED. IAM FUCKING SICK OF THIS PEICE OF CRAP
@SXTCMODE ok man... there's an easier way....I found it like 2 weeks ago. go to menu>import/export, then rename & check the files you wish to move, then bam! it's easier than it sounds. any questions, inbox me
@SXTCMODE thats crazy you said that dude, i just figured that out like an hour ago. i exported my master track, turned it off, took the card out and put it in my computer sd slot, opened dp008, and found my track in the wave folder, i was about to freak the fuck out. i think mine is defective. i cant even record my master tracks now cause it keeps cutting me off during recording saying" I/F error power off"??? im pawning this junk. thank you for helpin though man. i couldent find shit about it
This machine does not last a couple of days off batteries. 1:17 . It last about 2hrs. Also had the AA batteries that came with the recorder. With a better brand I'm sure it will last longer, but 2days. yeah right. He is flat out lying here. I like the recorder thou. lol
So why did you bring out the DP-004 if you were going to release this a few months later? I bought a DP-004 and it really should have had these features. It's now obsolete. Thanks Tascam :(

DP004 came out over 1 year ago (a year an half). It is still current, and no plans to discontinue!
