That said, it's a good hit. Hard to find fault with it. I don't see Rinaldo really launching himself at Doughty. I think it's acceptable for him to leave his feet right before the hit, as he did here.
At the end of the day, guys skating into each other at speeds like this will produce injury. And it's bound to be self-correcting - the puck carrier will think twice next time.
