I got an '83 RABBIT Cabrio(in Canada they were called Rabbits), gonna do it up old school with a pair of 45mm DCOE Webers. 2.5 inch exhaust all on a 1.8 20V, gonna be a total sleeper. I've heard this set up and it is just sweet. There's gonna be some kids in Civics get real surprised when they get their lunch stolen by a VW Cabby.

Either way it's not an 87 which is the MK2 body. This is an MK1. Regardless the guy doesnt have his facts straight and I'd take the wittle wabbit over those high dollar vehicles. Nothing against them. I love porsche's and supras. :)

I'm from Brazil and every one nows how good we developed the vw. We use methanol insted of gas, so we run 52 psi easy. Our record is 1.200 hp on the 2.1 4 cyl 20v, and 1.000 on the 16v. Our record is low 8 at the 1/4 mile. Type FLTD on youtube or see my friend runin 9.3 on a 8v 1.9 turbo engine, just type luciano nichetti. I would like to help anyone intrested in vw power.

Yes it is a golf, its got all the euro features (round headlight gti, euro large tail lights, small bumpers) but I'm still going to call it a rabbit. I personally stick to Jettas, have a MK1 GLI and a MK1 Coupe.

Being an avid VW fan I am glad to see the MKI tear the hell out of a 996TT and a Supra. But... Them beating that Motorcycle? I highly doubt it. Unless it is a 250 or the rider really didn't care or not know how to drive it.... Maby it comes down to the drivers. If you don't know how ot push/drive the Porsche then yes it WILL be slow as hell... I call shitty driving skills on the PRC and Supra.  OR, that MKI is pretty nasty
