  • That was great while it lasted. You could really see those surfaces flexing.

  • Its interesting to see how g force act on plane. Great video.

  • why didnt u use the waterproof case? the sound would be much better !!!!!

  • @lpl6150

You are correct the sound would have been better, but I could not afford the additional weight.

  • Ouch :-( Great video.

  • This reminds me of those old acecombat games!

  • Wow. This footage just made a dull, miserable day bearable. Thanks.

  • What camera did you use?

  • Pilot died. Did not see ejection sequence fire at all. RIP.

    Naaa, I keed. Cool vid.

  • Afterburner sound :D

  • It's like someone was tide up from behind and say "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaah..! ...... X_X

  • Now that's an angle rarely seen... great work. I hope you can perfect it. It makes for an awesome video.

  • Nice sound , looks like real :D

  • pretty cool thrust vectoring

  • poor su-34....:(

  • The best thing i see in this video is the wing flexing

  • lol you can hear a bee or fly at the end

  • guy, that is an amazing angle. Ingenious!!

  • hey bro,,,can i ask you, what cam did you use..it is simply fab.regards.

    jb

  • Great stuff, incredible view. This is quality film.

  • That looks huge, could u please let me know where'd u get that from?

  • The fly at the end ..........lol !

  • um... why was it going backwards??

  • I love how at the loop, you can hear both fans screaming as the mad exhaust air deflects away from the camera momentarily til she goes over. Sad that she went in looks like you had full or near full deflection on you elevators and vectors! awesome video!

  • no rudders during the whole flight?

  • nossa

  • Is there an RC jet plane with a built in camera that you control through live video streaming?

  • if only you could get a live feed from that camera so you could just fly it from that perspective

  • @fullycustom88

You actually could. GoPro HD Hero can put out standard video (the 848x480 I assume) while recording HD to SD card. Needs transmitter obviously too then.

  • cool optic!

  • I love the little death whimper at 0:56.......that was piss funny!

  • whats up with the landing, liked the vid but messed your plane up a bit there

  • Thats beautiful footage, great view and a daring camera angle!! Did you add much weight to the nose to get the correct C of G or just left it tail heavy?

  • @dancindestroyer

Added a weight to a 12 inch stick on the nose to get it to balance.

it just didn't balance in roll & didn't have enough elevator to start all that "static dead weight" moving & it couldn't loop as tight as it did before we put all that stuff on.

  • I hope he ejected....

Vectored thrust on an RC plane, thats brilliant!! Hope your flying again soon.

  • неумете вы управлять Русскими самолётами!!!но причиной аварий стала камера которая повлияла на вес самолёта и аеродинамики!!!

  • wow crazy wing flex . up is down and down is up : P

  • Should let us fly formation with you ;-)

  • @ssgtakeo if you can take off & form up in the 37 seconds my plane was in the air... that doesn't even count the spiraling into the ground part.

  • Wow, did you see the wings bending at times? Also, is there a test to fly there at sccmas?

  • @EDF6399 Yes there is a test.

You have to have to be an AMA member, (insurance)

& you need to be checked off by a flight instructor to fly there.

  • oh, nice. What kind of camera is that, gopro?

  • @IH8H8ers123 Affirmative.

  • so...did it break?

  • @IH8H8ers123 Brake? It didn't even slow down.

  • waaahhh waaaaaaaahhhh.. daddy broke my plane!

  • Awesome!

  • Oh gosh, sorry for that crash...And I had seen your mods on this bird and was waiting for maiden...That video looks very clean...

  • ???????

  • ahahaahahaha

  • @Dorr2K9EiRe Are you screaming or laughing ?

  • 0:50 CRAP!!!! EJECT! EJECT!

  • nice lookin grass...lol...

What mode u got ur cam on?????

  • @FullySick96 The GoPro HD camera is set to 720P 60 fps, it gives a 170 degree field of view.

  • You can see the wings flex.

  • I have this model, flew it a few times. Broke the cheaply constructed nose gear on a landing. Now I get to wait 3-4 months for new parts from Hobbylobby. Looks like you fly your SU 34 without landing gear? How does the plane handle belly landings?

  • @locrwy8 My landing gear worked well enough till I added all the camera & balance weight. The nose wheel strut broke on a 400 foot long take off roll. I was at the field & wasn't about to drive back home without a flight, so I removed the landing gear & did a hand launch, flew for 37 seconds & then crashed, so I never actually made a belly landing with this airplane. Now i'm waiting on a body kit from Hobby Lobby.

  • Yep, I should just order that "airframe only" version too. Then I wouldn't have to wait so long for my nose gear assy. to come off backorder. Your post was interesting, thanks

  • Eject, D'mitri! Eject!!

  • Congratulations! Not only an awesome viewing angle, but you used it on a fighter jet. Plus, you've in a sense created the first RC plane 'black box' as far as I know.

Since its a russian fighter you need to rig a little pilot punching out right before it kisses the dirt. Russian fighter pilots are good ejectors at airshows, you know. =oP

  • Please make more from that angle, way cool!

  • Sorry about that crash,

but that camera position is so cool!!!!!!!

I wanna do something like that at some point, but isn't it hard to keep the CG where you want it with a camera way in the back?

  • @RcAndries It is way tough! I put a bunch of lead in the nose, but with all that weight the aircraft was very sluggish. Because it takes a bunch of inertia to start all that mass moving.

  • It was my fault that I crashed, I have to accept that, I'm working with it. The airplane was rolling left, I was trying to trim it, it rolled very quickly, because of all the extra weight, when it was upside down I thought I could do a split "S" but because of all the weight on the nose & tail it was too sluggish on the rotation. You gotta admit I committed to up elevator, I didn't release till after I crashed. I feel better now that thats off my chest.

  • When you rolled prior to impact, you had elevator up... pushing the plane down into the ground. Didn't even attempt down elevator to try and pull up.

I'm guessing it rolled unexpectantly and you couldn't react?

  • is that the place near balboa park?

  • @blazian1011 Nope. This is the Santa Clara County Model Aircraft Skypark near San Jose, California. You can see it on Google Earth.

  • How about the rudders, they looked deflected and and out of trim the whole, or were you using them as spoilers?

  • @ferociousfrankie I added the rudder to help the airplane drive straight down the runway. I re-glued one of the tail that had broken off earlier & was in a rush to fly so I never readjusted the rudder. The aircraft was rolling left when it crashed. We had to hand launch it because the landing gear kept collapsing.

  • Build, fly, crash, build, fly, crash,...

  • awesome viewing position - shame about the plane... was it salvaged? is there a thread about it on RCG I missed? :)

  • @BrotherBloat All the electronics survived so, I will purchase a "airframe only" kit & rebuild, to continue in-flight video production.

  • fantastic! good luck and all the best!

  • have a nice walk

  • No way! That is a cool angle, how did you manage the CG?

  • @Skydive4ever I managed the CG for about 37 seconds. There was a carbon tube on the nose of the airplane with lead weights taped to it. The plane could not rotate well because of all the weight on both ends of the airplane. I needed a lot more elevator than I had.
