@brijohn6882 It is a battle against the Socialism-Communism of the so called "Progressives" in the Democratic Party, the Labor Unions and their Puppets in the News Media(CNN,MSNBC,NBC,ABC,CBS and the Newspapers).
@MrTennesseeVols@MrTennesseeVols you're not very smart... those networks are corporate networks therefore not Liberal. You're stupid to believe they are
@MrDylbob7 Reagan was the right man during the right time, not necessarily a good president. Strong in pursuit of his own vision for america, blind to the weaknesses that plauged his policies. Not even comprable to Eisenhower, a man who was born to be president. Intelligence. Integrity. Leadership. Research Eisenhower please, the quiet giant of the 20th century. One of the best presidents in history. I am a democrat and I LIKE IKE!
Ike had the Marginal Tax Rate at 92% in his term, denounced the "Military Industrial Complex," enlarged Social Security, ousted Joe McCarthy and was a Republican. Truly a type of Republican we need today.
@ScourgeVenom Roosevelt defeated Hitler with some help from Churchill and Stalin General Eisenhower was a major leader who freed europe from nazi occupation
Now there was a good president: likeable, honorable, shrewd politician, WWII hero. Also he didn't seek the presidency, both parties wanted him to be their canidate. Ah good times.
@brijohn6882 And you would be correct with your assessment. It is a titanic struggle between a party that thinks it can mitigate away all of society's ills and perceived injustices through income redistribution and a phalanx of new laws and regulations (not to mention trillions in new spending) and a party that believes industrial fortitude and self reliance was what made us great and is what is sorely missing from today's equation.
@catclaw357 WHY?I LIVE IN TAIWAN,HE IS THE FIRST PRESIDENT VISIT TAIWAN(ROC)!BESIDE THIS,HE ALSO BRAVELY FIGHTING THE U.S.S.R. @199112171433 No the best Republican other than Lincoln was Ronald Reagan, not Eisenhower. He was not responsible for our victory over the Soviet union, we won mostly because of JFK(2nd best president ever) and Ronald Reagan.
Eisenhower has become one of my favorite presidents. His role in the war as the commander of the Allied forces in the Normandy invasion was a phenominal success, and leading soldiers prepared him for a position of higher power. His huge role in the developement of the U.S. Highway system should not be looked over in his list of achievements. Aside from the U2 incident, which he led us out of, his presidency was unmarred, and argueably one of the best.
Also, if you had even bothered to include the countless good deeds the United States and Great Britain did for the coutries they liberated, AND Germany, they would far outshadow the harmful things we did. We gave every country, yes, even Germany, the right to their own Government, we set free every single prisioner of war that was not charged with war crimes.
So please, if u can find it in ur thick scull to do so, try to remember that we didnt start this war, GERMANY did.
Also, ill agnowledge the fact that the Soviets committed war crimes, but they were not our problem, only due to the facts that they were a completely seperate country, and as soon as the war ended, they had no need to even talk to us, and closed off communications with the British and Americans.
Please, we did not Enslave Half of Europe to the Communists. It was agreed upon by the three allied leaders that whatever land russia gained would be under their juristiction, and whatever land the french, americans, and british took over would be under their juristiction.
Also, yes, the allies were not completely innocent, but, due to your word "Dumkopf" leads me to believe your german, your nation was nowhere NEAR as nice as the British and Americans were.
Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president. Ike for president.

How about the Hippocrit muderers the Germans are, for a people that are supposed to be cultured, they brought misery into the world with 2 World Wars and the deaths of 55 million in WW2. Eisenhower and the USA freed the world from the evil Germans and their death camps. Germany will always be looked at the country that brought Nazism and death camps. The Germans are not sorry for the wars and deaths they caused. They are only sorry that they didn't win them!
Sorry mate, but you are wrong. Germans are sorry for those World Wars. And if you dont know it is forbidden even to speak about Nazism in Germany. I am not speaking of Nazi symbols and all that stuff (you can be imprisoned for that). And one more thing i would like to add is that not ONLY the United States freed the world, but Soviets and Brits and many other nationalities fought for their freedom and rigth to live.
It was Eisenhower and the USA that freed the world. The USA gave materials such as guns and planes to the Brits to fight the Germans. It was the USA that sunk German U-Boats that were starving the British people. It was the USA that helped take pressure off of the Soviets from the Germans by opening up a second front. That was the purpose of invading Italy in 1942.
Well, there are two options - you either a nationalist or you just simply don't know history. Try to find out more about that war. Perhaps you just underestimate the roles of other countries. That why it called WORLD WAR, not USA - Nazi Germany war...Think about it.

your making me laugh you go read a book you can look up the Bay of Pigs it says it was planned out by the Eisenhower administration in 1960 and last i checked Kennedy didnt become president until 1961 and it was prove that the economy was better in the Kennedy Administration Heres the thing i look into these things and what i said was true your just one of those people who dont like being told the truth
Just because you made something up doesn't qualify it as the truth. You haven't looked up anything, you saw something on the Internet and now you're blindly repeating it. I repeat: go read a book. And then learn to use periods and which words to capitalize.
Never said I made it up. You can read a book about the 1950s that the economy slipped because of 'Ike' it took the real President Kennnedy to fix the mess.
Lmao horrible, two points totally incorrectly wrong like Psychodahlia22 pointd out. Bay of Pigs and encouraging Nixon to run for president, he despised Nixon, didn't like him very much.

Catchy tune if I do say so myself. Easily one of my favorite presidents (if not my favorite though it is kind of a tie with Lincoln). He was a great leader.

I dunno... Maybe? ROFL. We listened to this vid in SS class, and about 3 people were bobing up and down to the music, and later in science, were singing it in class. it was hilarious.
