As an XFR owner and having thoroughly driven both, the AMV and the XKR, I was really disappointed in the quality of the AM. The XK is much nicer to drive and you do feel like you want to drive to the South of France in it. I was also disappointed in the DB9 I drove recently...so lumbering! However, it will not stop me ordering one in the next 5 years, but until then I'm really happy with my XFR.

can't really agree on the engine thing, Audi's V8 is almost 20 years old now, they just revise it over and over again and then call it "new" same with their V6's and the 2.0 is just a bored out 1.8 which was just a 2.2 5 cyl with a cylinder cut off.

and BMW pretty much does the same with the M62, S62 and N62, they are all derivatives of the same V8 and again the same with their I6's

If I can suggest you something...if you ever want to buy an XKR...Id suggest that you go for the XKR-S...if its available in you contry....I've nearly destroy(overheat)the brake on my 2009 XKR and the ''adaptive suspension''is not that ''adaptive''hehe...a little too soft to my liking...but they solve those probleme with the XKR-S....but yeah its faster than the Aston V8
