If the government doesn't help people who are unemployed, who will? Even if the focus is on creating jobs, it takes time to get them up and running.

There may have been a time when neighbor helped neighbor, but I've seen the trend towards "every man for himself." It's an attitude that lends itself to government intervention.

Why should an oil executive make enough for 50 lifetimes while a cashier at a gas station makes minimum wage? The Republican trickle down effect isn't even a drop.
