  • @mindfullofbread I'm 10 years old and I wore my Ramones shirt to the mall and a dude with a road to ruin sweatshirt on looked at me and said, "Gabba Gabba Hey Ramones forever" at first I was like O_o how did he know I luv the Ramones? Then he said, "cool shirt"

  • I do wanna dance õ/

  • I hate girls who wear sweaters with The Ramones on it from H&M who probably don't

even know who the fuck they are!

They don't deserve to wear it.

You should wear a t-shirt of a band because you just like listening to the band!!

    where's the spirit people??!!

  • The Beach Boys

  • @jersonmajin Nope, this is the Ramones, The Beach Boys are bubble gum teen pop.

  • Ramones, adoro. <3'

  • The Ramones gave us our youth......even before we knew what that meant.

    <3<3<3

  • So fucking uplifting it's unreal.

  • <3

  • hey peterp21 ramones actually tried to sound more like the "scuzzbags" punk rockers dont hate the other punk its good to

  • I always liked that the Ramones were firmly rooted in a 60s surf/Phil Spector influence in their early albums. Not like the annoying punk scuzzbags that came after them to "fight the system" while signing multi-record contracts with mega-labels like Capitol or EMI.

  • @peterp21

I heard that one of the albums they did w/ Phil Spector was made at gunpoint.

  • 16 people don't wanna dance

  • @acabamg stupid fuckin comment on every goddamn video these days 10 people dont wanna .......... same shit on every video this just in: not fuckin original

  • @acabamg ...21, que mala onda...

  • 2nd favorite version. Bobby Freeman is still the best.

  • So Fucking Cool!

  • Thanks for the lyrics. I never could have figured out what they were saying if you didn't write them out

  • Emily's Army cover... pretty SICK

  • hugely influential

  • You know what fucking rocks?

    No, besides the Ramones.

    Spongebob Squarepants...

  • I love there movie

  • esta chida esta rola

  • Good stuff, second only to the Beach Boys' version. That being said, I'd love to hear Brian Wilson's soaring falsetto isolated from their version and have it applied to this cover, it'd give the chorus that extra bit of punch!

  • This is fantastic

  • im sure the ramones wouldnt care about these youtube arguments. Shut up and listen to the music

  • This is real punk rock.. :-DD not green day!

  • @ivanarepinac oh please don't start that! (and by the way, I hope you realize when you're saying that that joey and marky both have said that they respect green day as a punk band)

  • Best of the Ramones covers. Forget about The Beach Boys, etc.!

  • "Why are you only playing short songs"?

"No, were at not playing short songs, we are playing long songs, but we are playing them fast"!

  • @ClubViking63

i know this one; it's off some interview, but which one ?

  • @ClubViking63 rock and roll high school?

  • @ALLERTORLOVER69 the movie

  • @ALLERTORLOVER69 Yeah that is a great song!

  • Mi año 1977.°°

  • @MrJasper1611 you're awsome too :D

  • @MrJasper1611 right on dude ! spread the word ! I'm listening to Ramones for 35 years ! Rock On !

  • @MrJasper1611

cool story...oh wait....i dont give a fuck how old you are

  • @MrJasper1611 ok im 69 cant good pubes and listen to coldplay last day and i pooped

  • @MrJasper1611

No-one cares what awesomely precocious taste you think you have. No-one is shitting themselves in admiration because you found something on your I-Pod that Wikipedia tells you its cool to like. However, should you feel you must carry on trying to convince everyone you were listening to this when still a fetus, how about going elsewhere to continue with your self-obsessed hipster-in-training wank?

  • @krakenwave Too right!

  • @krakenwave So elequently put, its a shame he/she probably wont be able to understand :) 4 years old is harldy a fetus..

  • @MrJasper1611 The trick is to listen to them closly and keep listning and eventually youll get it thats what i had to do and im 14 and live in alaska

  • @MrJasper1611 YO TENGO 80 AÑOS Y DESDE LOS 79 ESCUCHO A RAMONES HAHAHAAHA AND WHO THE HELL CARES SHUT UP Y ONLY LISTEN OKSS

  • This studio version is so tame it should have never been released. The only good Ramones music is when they play live, then they sound like a real hardcore punk band. This version sounds weaker than Status Quo. The Ramones should have stuck to live albums at which they excel.

  • @ParagramTree Studio sounds great too bro. May not be as energetic as live, but take it how it is.

  • @tubbythug92 No it doesn't! It so so weak that it sounds worse than crap by Status Quo!

  • @ParagramTree

no way man, this is fucking classic bubblegum punk rock

  • fuck you you asshole you would get you ass smashed 1979

  • @davem665 I was around in 1979 and I didn't get smashed! I am 45 years old!

  • @davem665

    just shut the fuck up

  • @xDIStructorx Punk rock by definition is high powered, high speed, high volume music. This version does not meet the criteria for a punk song.

  • @ParagramTree So you're saying The Ramones aren't punk rock even though they were essentially, in my opinion, the band that started the punk movement in america?

  • @crazyVIDSguy Why they played live they played like a punk band but their studio stuff is pretty crap!

  • @ParagramTree Well then obviously you don't like punk rock then

  • @crazyVIDSguy Yes I do but not when it sounds crap. Most punks hate Green Day for example calling them pretend punks, but they worked their way up through the small sweaty clubs playing originally to an audience of people only dressed in punk gear at first just like most punk bands.

  • @ParagramTree What does Green Day have to do with anything?

  • @crazyVIDSguy Green Day are punk like the Ramones idiot! All their early fans were punks they got to where they are today because of punks who attended their gigs.

  • @ParagramTree Correction, Greenday WERE punk like the Ramones

  • @ParagramTree stop kidding yourself

  • @ParagramTree You do know that the fans don't define the genre of the band right

  • @ParagramTree Don't forget your viewing this in retrospect. Back in the day this was the fastest shit around. It doesn't seem fast cuz your coming out of an era where the Ramone's influence is heard on the shitty pop charts every day. Fast agressive rock n roll is commonplace now, it was not when the Ramones hit the scene.

  • @Viperplayer187 Well before punk there was heavy rock and glam rock which were quite loud and fast.

  • @ParagramTree

then go and listen to some other shitty-ass song by the cramps or whatsoever

  • @xDIStructorx The Cramps were more psychobilly than punk. I would rate bands like Circle Jerks, Channel 3 and TSOL more than them.

  • My son is named after Joey Ramone. He will live on in our hearts forever!!!

  • 14 people don't know how to dance

  • 14 personas no entienden nada

  • Thanks to my biology teacher :D

  • @Sec0ndHe4rtBe4t hah you have a freakin awesome biology teacher than wish i went to your school! XD

  • @itsjusthoarse He changed the school :(

  • Translate 'hams' to spanish and see what happen

  • Sorry listened to Hurriganes version and truly thought it sucked. They sounded like Stray Cats and being more like the original like someone early just meant they did nothing original with the song. Makes them sound like bar band just copying covers for a buck.

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU why you hatin?

  • @PokeBoston Because Islam is fucked. Homo!

  • @MyAccount4TrollingU 1. how would you know if i'm homo? 2. what does me being gay have to do with it? 3. explain how islam is fucked.

  • I blasted this in my dad's nuts before I was born.

  • music to do the "carp flop" by...oh yea

  • nice !

  • Every Ramones song is a drummers right arm's worst nightmare

  • and still have people who love justin bieber

  • 11 motherfuckers like Justin Bieber

  • @monsterdr1ft It's true, because the justin are a gay, and who like he, are a ....... too

  • @monsterdr1ft I personally do not like Justin Bieber. But I would prefer people lave him alone and let him do what he likes. Don't we all do what we want? But why does he have to have everyone criticize him?

  • @ilovejettandramones I don't/can't do what I want.

  • @ilovejettandramones because people like justin bieber suck the soul out of rock n roll and deserve to have their eyes poked eternally by basement cat. it ain't rocket science.

  • @Microwaveablestuffs

That's quite foolish and would basically goes against the entire punk/deconstructionist scene. You can't be anti-establishment and want the establishment to like you at the same time (at least in the slice of anti-establishment that punk is). If you're regarded by the establishment, you're clearly not doing your job well enough.

  • @Protoguy1 just shut up and listen.

  • @punkdoll24

    See, that's more like it...

  • moi je tape en rytme waouhhhhhh!!!

  • halloween

  • My favorite song of my all time favorite band!!! They will live forever!!!

  • Kiss me baby all throught the night. These guys remain the coolest.

  • This one just cannot beat the Hurriganes version.

  • @finnmick96 That is your opinion but mine is this is the ultimate version ;)

  • this song got me into the ramones<3

  • 10 people need to have good sense beaten into them... :)

  • I'll ask my girlfriend if she wants to dance under the moonlight. =D

  • I always thought the Beach Boys wrote this. It sounds like a Brian Wilson-type song.

  • @SousSherpa Brian Wilson remade and rearranged the song and he made it much more powerful, but he didn't write the original.

  • The creators of punk <3

  • Fantastik sound!

  • My dad saw these guys live in 1977, I still have to repeat everything i say for him

  • @TOSportsFan1990 hahahaha nice

  • Always loved them!

  • Well do you wanna dance under the moonlight? Squeeze and kiss me all through the night

Oh baby, do you wanna dance? *does lil dance*

  • Ramones are the beach boy's OK, at 90 miles per hour.

  • @MsDrummermike yeaaah.....

  • One of their greatest tracks. awesome track. Play if loud as F*$K.

  • I love ramones, but i don't understand this song:/ , seems just like a pop silly song at the lyrics

  • @Night94Wolf This is actually a song by the Beach Boys. That could be why it seems like a silly, pop song.

  • @kayla7wilbanks its actually by the mamas and the papas. they just covered it.

  • @mcake99 actually it was written and recorded by in bobby freeman in 1958 :)

  • I think Hurriganes version is better=)

  • RAMONES are the best! Nothing compares to them

  • awsome

  • cool

  • 9 people dont appreciate this song. Thats fine i suppose.

  • 9 people didn't want to dance ! haha

  • yes i wanna dance!

  • Ok joey I wanna dance with you and hold your hand under the moonlight does that make you happy?

  • Beach Boys cover!!!

  • Hell yeah i wanna dance!

  • Check out, Hurriganes - Do you Wanna dance.. i think it is the best version of this song. it was made 4 years earlier than this Ramones version, which is also awesome!

  • RAMONES 4EVA!

  • i wanna do something like this with my band take a slow song thats not very good and make it punk and awesome i dont what song though any ideas?

  • @TheIllegalKind The original song is good too.

  • very sweet cover. ramones cant make punk out any song.

  • THE RAMONES REALLY DO KICK ASS!!!! AWESOME SONG WRITERS AND THEY SOUND LIKE NO ONE ELSE.

  • Definitely the best sex song ever!!!! Just remember to put the song in repeat hahahaha

  • Undisputably the best version...PERIOD!

  • This (Ramones version) of this song isnt bad. However there`s a couple years (1974) older version of this same song by a band from Finland - HURRIGANES, which is more like the original (1958).

  • @5Wulfen hahaha cool that somebody other than me noticed that! I got some hurriganes records in my record collection!

  • 7 people klicked the wrong button ;D

  • @SuperVorbild 7 people have no life or friends..

  • Best. cover. ever.

  • hail to the 2 minute song kings
