I always liked that the Ramones were firmly rooted in a 60s surf/Phil Spector influence in their early albums. Not like the annoying punk scuzzbags that came after them to "fight the system" while signing multi-record contracts with mega-labels like Capitol or EMI.

This studio version is so tame it should have never been released. The only good Ramones music is when they play live, then they sound like a real hardcore punk band. This version sounds weaker than Status Quo. The Ramones should have stuck to live albums at which they excel.
