I love that kids just think that teachers make so much and that breaking things here and there is no big deal. It was probably one of those that ranges upward of $100 and teachers typically have to replace that themselves...schools don't provide money for that stuff anymore. Frankly, I think he got a bit too worked up; he should have just told her, "A bill will be sent to your parents." That's what a friend of mine did; kid breaks a class calculator, kid has to replace it.

I would say that this teacher has had to deal with continual crap from the students in this class, and probably had enough.
