for win7 i got 2 of em (32 and 64 bits) for free (and everything else from microsoft like win XP, server, visual studio, microsoft office etc...) and its all legit: the trick is to study in a specific program in a college or university that will give acces to msdnaa (MicroSoft Developer's Network Academic Alliance) and they let you download one free version of absolutely everything, without you have to pay for any license...

The best CPU on a budget you can purchase is a intel core i5-2500k. in tests it runs as well if not better than the i7 sandy beaches that are available. Microcenter has them available for 179.99

@rehman6941363 How well your computer runs games doesn't really depend on the processor, but more on the graphics card. The processor it more for things like having lots of Internet tabs open, or many different programs, each with their own separate process.

@xBurniee It'll play BF3 at 60FPS on lower/med settings at a lower resolution.

And building a PC is really easy, you just plug everything in/put everything in the slots (and things only go in one way so you can't really mess it up), install Windows/whatever and you're good to go.

@mrkgarcia8 Google bit torrent, download it, search up windows 7 32/64 bit torrent, possibly the first link (make sure it says it has no viruses blah blah blah) then press download and it will come up on your bit torrent window (which you downloaded) it may take a bit to do so, but when it is done you can apply it to your own Desktop/Laptop or copy it on to a flash drive and download it on to your PC that your building with no OS. There are many youtube "how too's" of it.

Spend 200 dollars more, upgrade to an i5 2500k, and go for the 6850+ 1 gig. Swap out the 430 cooler master for a gold 80 700 watt. Go to some college kid and buy his free copy of windows off him for 20 bucks because colleges give away windows for free. Thank me later when you maxing your graphics and taking arrows to the knee.

@flightsimulatorXpert I used to work at a computer store and I would NOT recommend asking them to build this for you. Doing so would add to the price of it. The added price would be the labor for them to build it, the configuration of the whole machine, and sourcing the part. All of this would add up to roughly 800$. If you build it yourself you automatically save 350$ or less.

ehh, i would have gone with a amd 555 be. 2 core still but very overclock-able, plus this late in the production stage and you've got a VERY good chance at unlocking 2 more cores. 4 core for about the same price. What i really wanted to say though is hold off on buying a computer right now, hard drive prices are crazy inflated and will come down soon. A month ago $50 would have bought you a TB.

The AMD CPU's are superior in the price range of under $150. The Intel Core i3 is absolutely horrendous for $120. With $120 you can get a quad-core 3.0ghz+ Athlon or Phenom. And for $85,you can trade that Pentium for an Athlon x3 460,which is a triple-core processor (can unlock fourth core) that is clocked at 3.4ghz.

@U1qui0rra The reasonI didn't know is b/c I have a macbook pro but I also like windows so I didn't know if my laptop didn't have a "Mobile Gaming GPU" ifs I could run Skyrim in boot camp. The 6770m is not as fast as a 560m but I can play Starcraft 2 at high settings(all but like 2 settings at max @ 1920x1200.) I am one of the only smart mac guys. O yea, and I hate apple, I just like macs.
