The lyrics are genius, the artwork is phenominal and although it is a great shame nothing made these days will ever come close to being such genius it is an honour to have something of this standard to pass down through generations. He wouldn't lie about that because he has admitted to other songs being LSD inspired. You are just stating what you heard from an unreliable source.

They do have songs That are LSD inspired but this is not one of them and neither is Yellow Submarine. Acronym in the name of the song is just a mere coincidence. The vieo is trippy because it was geared towards children, this is the kind of entertainment that attracts children. Our minds are just more mature than a child's so when we see this we automatically see it as a drug reference, because we know. But this song is not about LSD so stop saying it is, you're only making more people believe something that isn't true. There are plenty other Beatles' songs that refer to LSD.

I have listened to that interview, trust me. It's untrue, I'm telling you. Paul says that but for a certain reason. The song's history is the truth. I have a book called A Hard Days Write, by Steve Turner. This man knew them personally and he explains in detail the history behind EVERY Beatles' song. And there are many interviews with John explaining the song. John wont lie about it, he doesn't care what people think of the truth and he has admitted to other songs being LSD inspired.

actually it was John's son who drew a picture when he was younger and he ad a tiny crush on this girl called lucy who he drew! And the actual video is off he movie " The Yellow Sumbarine" wich had that look all along. It's quite a good film actually! And Yes, the beatles DID take drugs! Hope this helps :)

I know they took drugs and all that, I mean I could name the dates of when they first experimented with certain drugs, and they wrote many songs that were inspired by LSD trips but this was not one of them. You need to relax a bit. Whether or not you tell people that you read a book or not isn't really going to convince anyone. Because unless The Beatles info. came directly from the label or the band, there's a chance that it's not true. I'm in a band and we're going to become signed with Interscope records, and they have been telling us all about how people will write books, articles, etc. claiming to know us and have information when they don't. Because this issue of the whole LSD in the name thing has been an issue since the song came out. The media freaked out about it, and John had to deal with people thinking this song was about LSD, when it was just a mere coincidence. John fought for the true meaning of this song, and it's stupid that he is dead now and people still think that this song refers to LSD just because it is in the name. John was right from the beginning about the title. And I have John's back over the stupid media
