  • We need positive economic empowerment (i.e. not another barber shop, liquor store, fish fry joint) in our communities that creates jobs, encourages other businesses and services that creates more jobs, and being independent of this system, like Sumari (sp?) said.

  • Although vital issues were presented, I feel like we touch the surface problems too much. Once we deal with and face up to our issues in education, unemployment, poverty and healthcare and revolt and demand a fair and equal share in these necessities, we can then begin to heal and overcome insecurities and problems as such. The change in African and black people cannot come unless we move for a social revolution. It's that simple.

  • "People who are afraid of revolution, just grow comfortable with oppression."

    Shieeeet!!! Das deep, sister!

  • people who are afraid of revoution have grown comfortable with opression...damn sista you really got a special power working inside of you...I was inspired by this video...thank you for making it...

  • I think that the problem is our willingness to accept European Ideology. Because it doesn't fit us we fall.

We accept European ideas in school and since they constantly glorify European people(which we aren't) we simply lose interest in education all together. We accept European outlook on our conscious brothers and label them as Black Militants/Nationalist and accept its negative connotations, but we DO NOT label the Europeans who teach us this European Militants/Nationalist.

  • the answer is LAND and it equal POWER.

If you own your home you have a voice in community,

in city, in state. Wars are fought for profit for land for real estate. Malcolm X spoke about this towards a greater understanding of liberation.

    Own your destiny!

    "pachacuti pachacuti pachacuti"

    -tupac amaru

  • The answer is domination of the mind and its ideas. Teach someone to be complacent and lead them down a path of complacency and they will be complacent. Teach someone to fight for more and push forward and rebel and lead them down that path and they will follow suit. He who dominates the opinion dominates the world. In my opinion lol

  • I think one issue that noone mentioned is are talks like this outdated. Are we isolating ourselves from "America." Should we go the route of Booker T and work hard and keep our heads low?

I think we need empowerment, plain and simple, and education of our past and how thats no limit to our future and help people like ourselves given the opportunity, but not in a hypocritical light, do it the right way

  • Discussion of the problem is certainly needed for many of our people; however, we must be careful to not allow our discussions to be void of solutions. I'd like to hear about (because i KNOW this exists) folks in our communitites who are following the 'Blueprint' so that those who are searching for answers can join those movements and do the work. one love.

  • The biggest issue= how do we truely progress in a society thats controlled and regulated by the worst people in the world. Trying to work inside of such a corrupt system has almost killed us as a people.

  • yes

  • I feel our most important issue right now is the young. We are the future of this nation and the future of black people in this country. We as a whole need to gain back our youth and teach them, nurture them. Learn our wrongs of the past and do right by us by teaching the future.

  • Commentary true: philosophy done...the leaders referenced and others not have studied, lived, and died with the philosophies.

Implementation = get land, get a collective, get a network started, and get free

Soul Sista Sade...I'm feeling this sister, especially the commentary on lack of motivation. Where you find this sister.

  • dope show. Soul sista Sade is cool

  • Enjoyed the video. You guys did a great job with this one. I never would have thought to interview people and get their opinions on the matter. Also, I really liked what brother (2:30) had to say about individualist nature of capitalism that keeps us divided. Stay bright and keep shining the light, aiight, Keep on keeping on. Peace.

  • To build on Kashmereair's points, we also need Afrikan-owned businesses, and not just barber shops and salons, but large industrial companies with political clout. Revolutionaries always talk bad about capitalism without really understanding what it is. Just because Europeans don't do it right, it doesn't mean that we can't if we think about it with an Afrikan-centered consciousness.

  • Good points, however the lack of faith in self is due to the pre-conditioning to place it somewhere else. Such as a faulty social system, or religious indoctrination. Education starts from the ground up. I feel like the tribe(The black people as an entity) should be responsible for the re-education of our people but if the education is corroded from the start, then the information will be just as corroded. It starts with not programming our kids what to think, but instead teaching how to think..

  • One of the more pressing issues facing our community is the crisis within the legal system. If the men are being swallowed up by the prison system it will be hard to organize and fight. There are 3 bills in the House right now that will help give relief to thousands of black men unfairly imprisoned for non-violent offenses. We must take a stand write and contact our elected officials to support these measures, they are H.R. 1475, 1466, and 1459

  • Lets get this movement rolling for real my people. Like y'all said, our ancestors have shed blood to lay the blueprint for us. Its time to start organizing, mobilizing and taking action. First in our local communities and then linking up on a national and Pan-African level. We need afro-centric schools from Pre K - Graduate school. We Need self-sufficient black organic food production. We need our own military and police force. I love the show, wish y'all the best and keep the fire burning.
