  • This video sounds like the old believers and old calendarits discourse. I'm less orthodox by the way I do the sign of cross, follow a calendar or chant some prayers, or use pews in the church. This is how they see things. This only creates division, enimity and is a treat to the main christian virtue of Humility!

  • Never ever join ecumenists!

  • I am Coptic and we are considered heretics. If you read the council transcripts its pretty obvious this is not true. We defined the nature of Christ as St. Cyril did in the 3rd council, so we cant be heretics. Leo I however supported Theodoret, a nestorian, and invented Primacy of the Pope.

  • How do diplomatic meetings between various religious leaders and exchange of gifts make someone traitor of christianity?

  • and Orthodoxy hasn't incorporated Russian, Romanian, Georgian, Greek, Arabic, Serbian, etc. cultures??? I've been in lots of Eastern Orthodox Churches, and there are cultural differences between them. In fact, a lot of the parishoners seem to be 'Greek' or 'Russian' first and see Orthodoxy as part of their culture, not part of all humanity. This video just shows how stuck up the Orthodox Churches can be, to think that so called 'Orthodox cultures' are any better than anyone else.

  • Wow, how PC can the Catholics be?

All religions do NOT lead to the same god; that's BOLLOCKS!

My religion, Asatru, does NOT follow the monotheistic god. We dont have a dogma of salvation. Let's be real!

  • @aubergine2c as a Christian I agree with you. Before I decided to follow Christianity I read heavily into the mystery schools and was drawn into early western religion. The final results are different, the gods are different, the nature of the world and of god and "sins," are all completely different from religion to religion... for the most part.

  • Christ is the one that saves and we all come to him in different ways. No one has the right to say otherwise. Ghandi and many others all have truth but its not the fullest truth. Where there is LOVE theres TRUTH and theres CHRIST. Pope John Paul II was correct in every word he said. We need to be open to others and accepting so we can do the great commision. GO THEREFORE AND MAKE ALL DISCIPLES OF THE NATIONS. We cant force our beliefs on ppl. Thats not the way it works. Christ converts not us.

  • To the Orthodox, there is already a capacity for apostasy in mere converse with ADAMANT heretics (Titus 3:10). But, we're not even talking about just talking. The Orthodox canons EXPRESSLY forbid common prayer (like reading the Gospel or a prayer) with heretics (much less pagans) & allowing them to perform priestly duties (such as blessing the congregation) to the Orthodox flock.

  • Rmember, the Greeks, the Syrians, the Copts; all the Eastern Christian cultures were once Pagan. About the part of the Eastern Ortho world that could be said to not have been originally pagan would be the Ethiopian. By the "logic" of this vid., we have to drop all the liturgies except for the Ethiopian, but it is ultimately Copts. D'oh! St. Paul, in the very Bible, quotes pagan Hymns to Zeus, approvingly. Thus your logic also rejects the Bible as heretical.

  • At 6:28, he mentions a New World Order.....this is satanism.

  • Very simple. Christ is Lord. The belief in the tri une GOD is the only way to everlasting life. Christ said he who denys me I will deny him in front of my Father.

  • All these comments are like the blind leading the blind, little children in the corner street screaming at each other:

    "I have a better toy"..."No, I have a better toy.."

    lol.....

  • The narrator has a gnostic, disembodied, non-incarnational view of Orthodoxy. Our Lord, through the Holy Spirit, is at work redeeming and transforming culture as well as individual souls. The Pope was (and is) a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Would that all of us, Orthodox or otherwise, follow his example. This video mistakes finding points of contact with compromise and apostasy. We need better than this. All truth is in Christ who is the Truth.

  • Great presentation.

  • LOL LOL The Latins LOL for 1,962 yrs in the west rome dictated culture , morality ,law , education , music art. In 1962 . the latin chruch became part of the culture the "sprit of the times" with the 2nd vatican council.

  • Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

  • Fuckin russian traitors shut the fuck up.You know orthodoxy is the pure christian church...why the fuck u go with the catholic company...

  • THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD ! THE ONLY ONE CHURCH CREATED BY OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST AND REMAINED UNALTERATED IS THE ORTHODOX CHURCH ! THE HOLY LIGHT AT THE THUMB OF JESUS CHRIST IN JERUSALEM, EACH YEARCOMES FOR THE ORTHODOX EASTER !!! THE FIRE DOES NOT BURN IN THE FIRST FEW MINUTES !!! IT IS OBVIOUS THE MESSAGE FROM GOD : THE ORTHODOXY IS THE LIGHT FROM GOD !

MAY GOD HELP AND SAVE ALL THE SOULS !!!!! AMIN !!!

    M ircea an Orthodox sinner

  • The problem with this video is that it takes some truth and applies twisted solutions to the problems.

There are different kinds of "ecumenism" and different types of anti-ecumenism. This video assumes that Orthodoxy is without cultural influences and traditions.

I'm not going to address what is and what is not wrong with the video beyond what I've already said. However, it is a hardline stance that does not help others realize what is truly wrong. It only strengthens what is wrong.

  • what happened to you ortho idiot...cat got your tongue?

  • orthodox 4 ever and ever wake up catholics!!

  • I for one did wake up. I have come home to Orthodoxy, and to any fellow Roman Catholics out there I urge you, read the Church Fathers, read the first Seven Councils. I would especially recommend a book called "The Rush to Embrace."

God will not punish you for sincerely looking, for searching, if it is in order to seek the truth.

  • I am a former Orthodox turned Catholic

  • I am Russian and I a now Catholic

  • Orthodoxy is losing a lot of adherents to other religions. Russia, for example, is passing laws to prohibit other non-Orthodox faiths from practicing their faith, afraid that Orthodoxs will leave their religion in mass.

The only way for Orthodoxy to preserve its status quo is to pressure the state to pass secular laws to preserve it and appeal to nationalism to protect it.

  • Nationalism and Christianity are 2 different things. Orthodoxy will remain forever AMEN. We are the true Church of God and "God will never abandon his people" we must have faith first in God, Christ our Saviour and then be proud nationalists. Russians, Serbians, Romanians, Ukranians, Armenians etc... The Pope and Roman Catholicism will dig their own graves and answer to God on judgement day. We cannot judge, only God can and will judge them but we can condemn their ways and revoke this.

  • You sound like Hitler. You claimed to be from God but God did not claim that you're from Him.

Also, you're not fooling anybody that nationalism and orthodoxy are not intertwined in Russia, Serbia, etc. Non-orthodox churches, synogogues, mosques have been burned, desecrated, and destroyed by "God loving orthodox people."

Non-orthodox are discriminated, assaulted, and harassed by your "peace loving orthodox believers."

You will dig your own graves and answer to God on judgement day.

  • There is two kinds of nationalism. One is non christian-nonorthodox and the other one is. Christian-orthodox nationalism is not love to our own people without hate to other peoples. True orthodox people dont hate anyone but love every man without matter what nationality they are.

  • there is a paradox in here

    orthodox nationalism.

It's a fact that the most ardent devotee to orthodoxy is also the most intolerant of other people and religion. Look at the facts.

Russia has blocked other churches from building in that country by intimidation, pressure, and even violence. orthodox church itself asked the Russian government to stop other churches to build and preach in Russia. Why?

Is orthodox church afraid of losing more people to other faiths?

  • It is not cuiet so. All tradisional churches in Russia are free to built their churches there! Only sects as a destructive phenomenons are forbidden there. It is surely that we all Orthodox peoples know that our Orthodox faith is TRUE FAITH, but after communist regimes in our countries there is a lot of people that dont know anything about religion and faith, so, sects and destructive cults can use it to get them to their membership!

  • Where in the bible does it say that the orthodox church is the "true" faith? And how do you classify sects and cults? And what do you mean by "traditional" churches?

orthodoxy can be a big cult you know. orthodox in Russia are themselves involve in destruction when they vandalize properties and threaten with violence other non orthodox Russians

  • In the first two centuries Church of Christ was named as ''Church'' but after birth of first heretic teachings Church started to call it self ''Orthodox'' (truely) Church, just to make a difference from those heretical communities. Our Lord made His Church, and that Church is Orthodox one!

  • Sects are nontradicional christian communities and Churches. Traditional are> Roman Catholic, Anglican, Lutherian, Calvinian and other Churches and communities. Classification is made on specifical creterium>believing in Holy Three, conection with old and nondivided Church of the first 10 centuries etc

  • Those christians that dont belong to this criterium are sects for us. In a bad meaning. But i dont think that is a reason for them to be outlaw and nonrecognised from state. Only if they are destructive they should be out of law.

Orthodox Church in Russia is not destructive cult or something like that. It is creative, tolerant community giving mostly good things to society!

  • first of all, i dont mind at all if all other religions except for Orthodoxy are banned completely in Russia, even if that is against my personal philosophy. I believe in freedom of religion, but in Russia, it is a different situation. There, Orthodoxy is growing rapidly, and we need to give it some time to develop after the communists before we allow it to be challanged.

  • It is not truth that nonorthodox are discriminated from orthodox population! I live in Serbia and thats just not truth! There is no example of desecretation and burning of non orthodox liturgical objects there by a orthodox believers, thats just disinformation!

  • If the Orthodox Christians were that strong in their beliefs why in heavens name did most ORTHODOX nations accept Islam instead? Were they so much afraid for the sword of Islam ?

  • What are you talking about? Orthodox countries were conquered by Turks and the West refused to help them. Some of the people in those countries did indeed convert to Islam, but usually for privileges. A lot more died for their faith. The only people in the Ottoman Empire I know of to have massively converted to Islam are Albanians. And they were Roman Catholic originally.

  • BUECHERRAZ, Orthodox Christians remain strong and steadfast in Christ. Many Egytians are turning to orthodoxy and accepting Christ. Its Roman Catholic Church is the fastests declining denomination of Christianity. Orthodoxy remains strong. My trip to Egypt I noticed many Egpytians attenting a Coptic Church. And as for Russian Orthodox well Russian Orthodoxy has always had it rough but it will endure.

  • There is only one God , one Truth and distorting the truth to suit others is no longer the Truth you must choose, either you live boldly in the Truth or a cowardly distortion.

  • Please know your Orthodox theology before you speak on behalf of Orthodoxy. Orthodoxy does NOT teach that there is no grace in the Catholic Church. Extremist orthodox converts have some knowledge of the faith but often times lack any spirit of the faith. Pity.

  • this is ecumenism in its extreme form!! the antichrist is near!!

  • For all who are against Orthodox Church - how can you say that in Orthodox Church there is no life??? Orthodox Church is the ONLY Church of God. And even if you were in the Church? as you say, it does not gave you the write to judge in such way. Mau God have mercy on your souls!!!

  • USSRangel85: Atheism and Orthodoxy I guess go together in Russia which means that Russian Church is false church

  • The "paganism" of human culture is no worse than the paganism of American nationalism and financialism found in our Protestant churches.

  • Mainline Protestantism is the well-spring of "ecumenism". It is the work of demons.

  • It doesnt matter what I am. All I stated were facts. There is no room for Grace in Orthodoxy. I do not make this because I am Catholic but because I was Orthodox for a time. There is no life in this church. I would go as far to say that it is a huge cult that teaches they are the only truth. No Grace!! Not VERY CHRIST !!LIKE...

  • Christ is not hiding behind the behind the royal doors. He was right in the midst of your video. If orthodoxy had it all figured out Id think we would see the fruit. Sadly there is none. Josiah

  • You Othodox Pompass ass. Who do you think Christ came for. Your Priests think they stand the office of Christ(forgive and retain sins) This is the largest heretical idea I have ever heard. If they have this power where are the signs and wonders and healings. Oh yeah they cant. Orthodoxy could use a simple sunday school lesson in grace. Something structured for children so they dont get lost in there own intelectual thoughts and so called ancient theology tradition or dogma.

  • Calm down, halfsmart.

You speak like one of those typical US-heretics. As catholic you should know that orthodox are our closest brothers. We have the holy liturgy. Or are you not even catholic, but some evangelical separatist? Then don't mind my comment.

  • Ironic and hypocritical that someone from western theology is to accuse an Orthodox of getting lost in intenectualism. Clearly you havn't studied either yours our our religions, evident by your own contradictory statements.

  • I don't believe it. Even the Eastern Orthodox themselves are not united. They disagree on many things and two them are even at war with each other the Georgians and the Russians.

  • Eastern Orthodox Church: wankers!!!!! I should know, I was a member for 11 years.

  • Should I even begin to describe to you how many times Catholic countries have been at war with each other? Georgians and Russians have always been religiously in communion, but they have political problems that have nothing to do with religion. And what may be this disagreement you've created?

  • It is normal to be at war with others. That is part of the human nature. It is sort of an art not to wage wars but still be independant or free from foreign rulership. Actually, history proofs that this is not possible at all.

  • I converted to Orthodoxy from the humanist Protestantism. We are all very united in faith unlike you Protestants who think they have a special power to interpret the Bible according to their own interests. That's why there are some many sects.

Also how many wars between Protestant countries occured? Don't give me shit about about Russia v. Georgia

  • God bless you my friend! It is heart-warming to see that Protestants are rediscovering the Truth.

  • I am Orthodox now Catholic

  • Be serious. Is the existence of atheists a sort of measuring the truthfulness of a certain local church? Is there not atheism in countries where Papism used to be the prevalent religion? What about France where atheism started officially from? What about Germany and all those protestant countries that went away from Rome? Is your point that Vatican is the true church because there is not atheism in Vatican? You weren't an Orthodox. Never. That's obvious.

  • I WAS AN ORTHODOX. First atheist was way before France. He came from Arabian Peninsula. Germany is not majority Protestant still. Orthodoxy has low church attendance like 5% in Russia. Take a look at my city Volgograd.

  • God bless you! Peace between catholic and orthodox. There is One God and One Savior and the Christian Church are his body

  • There is and has always been one Church. The Orthodox Church. There is no compromise in Christ. The Church bids you, "Come and see."

  • Welcome to the faith, I only hope where you practice the faith it isn't watered down by the modernist mass that we have here in America. I hear the current Pope wants to bring the Western mass closer to the more traditional ways of worship that is seen in the Orthodox Churches.

  • @sprtslvr1973 well done brother

  • @sprtslvr1973 Jehovah's Witnesses will win at the battle of Armageddon. All of you other apostates will suffer at the hands of our glorified Lord Christ Jesus!

  • @Danielezerable WRONG, WE SHALL ALL BE VICTORIOUS AND LET THE WORLD PRAISE HIS NAME FOREVER, GLORY BE TO GOD AND HIS GLORIOUS SON JESUS CHRIST

  • Look for the video "Geist der Loge". There is an excerpt with French translation. At holywar[dot]org you can watch the complete German version.I think there are also other translations of this film.

  • The Holy Catholic Church was intruded by freemasoners and Jews. But it will not die completely, it must resurrect one day.

God bless my orthodox and catholic brothers. May we never be enslaved by any heresy, be it Jewish propaganda or American sects.

  • There is no proof that free masoners got into the Catholic Church. That is fiction like believing in UFOs.

  • If it is fiction to believe in UFOs then our whole existence is fiction too (also a possibility of viewing things...).

It is not a shame to "believe" in UFOs. You can do a research and find out that UFOs are very real, a German invention that was perverted by the allied leadership to keep it secret. If you're interested search for haunebu. It's kind of interesting using implosion instead of explosion (they took it from their philosophy of not to destroy).

Back to the acutal topic: [...]

  • BRAVO! Foarte interesant să fie arătate greşelile apusului.

  • Thanks for this video, may God bless you.Ortodoxy or death!
