  • NOW JUST PUT IT ON A SMARTPHONE...

    android oc...

  • Imagine sunglasses that display ar objects around the world and you can interact with them

  • Hi may i know what programming language you used?

  • dallas stfu with u nerd talk.. if it wasnt for *nerds* u wouldnt be on u computer typing what u did u fag ..

  • If this was an app for iphone i would pay 5 pounds for it no problem

  • Impressive results considering that it runs in real time. Very nice.

  • this is how a nerd sees his enviroment on lsd

  • Do you know what this actually means for the future? Everything we ever thought is wrong.

Imagine where this will lead.. we'd have unlimited information at our fingertips. To be able to google, wiki or profile anything & everything you see & instantly have access to a profound knowledge base about it.. it means that "i don't know" is no longer a valid response. You would have to say "hold on while I figure this out." The gap between ignorance and brilliance will increase by a factor of laziness

  • @CrossTheGrigori ...

What this technology will do for the future?

The PORN business will skyrocket that's for sure.

  • @creaturebotman

True, so true. Imagine being able to instantly google someone and find any porn they've been in on 4chan or porntube. You could have instant access to their personal information in order to properly seduce them or at least see what you will miss out on when they realize that you are looking at them naked while talking to them. Either way, win win.

  • @CrossTheGrigori ...

    Yep

It's a sad fact and says a lot about our humanity but fact is.. when ever great technology for the better comes out you can bet the Porn industry or the Military will be the biggest spenders for it.

  • @creaturebotman

Look at it this way, procreation IS a driving force in all living things. Sure, the porn industry took to the net like a hooker to- wait... like a fish to water... but I think that helped computer software & hardware makers press on further and faster. I think online dating led to social networking. Maybe youtube is the direct result of the porn industry... who knows? Advancement is good... we just need to evolve ourselves as fast as the tech, lest we lose control.

  • @CrossTheGrigori ..

    yes. you are right.

  • ewok rampage ftw!!!

  • some1 can upload a compiled version? :D

  • Simply awesome!

Truly magnificent as the results look really robust and accurate.

  • @magicedaa Here is the precompiled version of PTAM Windows (which is really hard to compile) for download and explanation on my second channel. Thanks for requesting it!

  • can i plzz have the compiled soft?? :D

  • @magicedaa download ptam :) its free

  • @forthfriend oki ill try that ;) Thx :D

  • @forthfriend :( got the source code.... but i cant build it...:( do u have a builded version? :D

  • @magicedaa Hey dude, windows right?? Or linux or mac? Windows takes forever to build if you really want to do it. I have a built version and actually I was thinking. Tonight I will make a video on how to use my precompiled version :) Look for it then.

  • @forthfriend hey ;) using windows 7 x64 :D looking forward to your precompiled :D would be that much awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @magicedaa Now that I think about it I don't know if this will work for you. The precompiled version I mean. Windows 7 doesn't really work with PTAM very well - and it was built on Windows XP SP3. If you can get it to work please tell me but if not I can send you a unlimited install copy (legal) of Windows XP SP3 if you want.

  • @forthfriend sound reeall awsome dude ;)

  • Thats great!

    I have to try this!

  • Im really impressed with the init calculations, it takes like 3 seconds to figure out good tracker points , calculate movement, and from that get a correct ground plane.

  • Very nice image processing :)

  • im sick of this in the future bull Sh!t we can do it all know

  • 2:57 - awesome!!!

  • Damn ! video games will be awesome in the future !

  • Can you make something to save the tracking point cloud into a .obj or .stl file? Blender can make full 3d models from point clouds.

  • Oh my god you went to Japan O.O

  • Almost makes me cry...bravo!

    proceed people!!

  • Nice, thanks :)

  • playing a video game that's amazing, hey so that's a program only for laptops?

  • Waoo, really impressive!!!

  • OMG!!!!this is amazing i wish i could program

im learning how to program just because of this!

  • this is freeaaaakin awesome! I cant wait to get my hand on a commercial version

  • AWESOME work!

    saluti dall'italia!

  • Wow, this really is like Dennou Coil...

I hope this technology continues to advance and become popular!

  • Incredible work. Is there a library or any other tools for development available?

  • You guys are my heroes <3

  • They have turned to the dark side... 1:07

  • Jaw dropping... Digital graphics designers beware, this thing mapped real objects and textures so well its imposible(as far as i can see) to tell the difference. Wasn't till i saw things being warped i realized that it had created a 3d model of the real world, as well as introduce the obvious CG to interact with it.

  • It doesn't made a full 3d model of the real world, it only maps a few thousand points to help it recover the camera position. It also models the dominant plane so that you can add augmented graphics on top of that plane.

  • i like zen temple movie!

  • yay! we need camera equipped neat eye glass, novel one

  • This is cool is there a way I can test it out on my computer?? Is there a source or a binary available??

  • robotic surgery could utilize this type object tracking couple with the servos of the medical instrument, to perform intricate procedures on people without having to "immobilize" the subject to the degree they would now. Real Time tracking could detect motion of the cell or area to be worked on and just move the instrument corespondingly so the two are relatively stationary. For instance a procedure like hair transplants could be used to "reload" cones and rods of a malfunctioning retina.

  • he buscado como loco alguna forma d hacerlo pero esta en un ingle smuy tecnico que no puedo entender... ayuda plz

i've been searching like hell how to do this, but the english of every content is very techy. plz helpme...!!!!

  • holy shit thats insane. you guys are god for doing this!

  • This is truely epic... I want to play with it.

  • very nice work

  • Wow, love the pond bit.

  • Denno Coil isnt far away now.

  • Denno Coil isnt far away now.

  • excellent !

I used realviz / boujou but your code shows how cool things can be in real time.

Are there any way I can test drive it ?

  • SUGEEEEE

  • That's awesome.

  • Jaw dropping, well done! Although this does bring the inevitable human/robot war just that bit closer, oh well.

  • pretty slick. 8^)

  • wow! that was awesome!

  • What a great technology!
