Bill Evans on Piano Jazz with Marian McPartland - Part 7

One of the highlights of listening to NPR (I only listen because of the music) is Piano Jazz. I love it when at the end when she announced the credits. In fact, in '96 when NPR had a landmark year, Marian said at the end of her show, "Celebrating 25 years of radio excellence, this is NPR, National Public Radio." Of all the "This is NPR" I.D.'s, Marian's was right-on! I also liked the P-Pals "This is PBS" I.D. during PBS Kids. Marian McPartland, a class act...Saturdays at 2 on 90.5 DUQ!

WOW - What an amazing episode of Jazz with Marian Mcph...Such great chemistry and sheer virtuosity. Had to watch from beginning to end. Also seemed interesting how engaging Bill was, I haven't really gotten into Bill the person so much but from what I had gathered he was a bit of an introvert, and individual that was so into his music that he almost blocked out the outer world. But, he seems the complete opposite: a true educator and great communicator. Enjoyed it very much. Thanks! Puerto Rico
