I remember seeing Ian Moss singing this song with only Don Walker on the piano along with some great electric guitar work at the Roundhouse, UNSW in the late 70's. Great performance.
Mossy needs to come to Bendigo. I love the version of Georgia from the Barking Spiders live album. He should do another version and change the name to "Tara on My Mind". ^_^
Mossy belongs in the same circle as Clapton, Beck, BB King, Knopfler, Burton, Walsh etc - in my humble opinion. If he was a Pom or a Yank the rest of the world would have known of him long ago. - It is a pity that the rest of the world has been ignorant of his freaky talent.
Totally agree with the Barking Spiders Live album, and Mossy doing this is bloody brilliant. Luv his version of Cry me a River. Seen him a couple of times at Gigs and will pay to see him again. LEGEND!
This is on the Live at the Basement DVD 2001 dvd .Read on the back cd as the bonus studio performance. Got (way down) with Steve Prestwich..some with Jimmy too. You got to hear the Cold Chisel Barking Spiders With Cold Chisel The Band in it. Best 1 still..
holy heck, I've just stumbled across this video...okay we know the guy is one of the best guitarists in Oz...but seriously this is world class, amazing...sweet...bloody hell re-release it...it's soooo good
Have you listened to Georgia barking spiders With Cold Chisel still think its the best Ians done. This 1 Better than the 1 with Jon Stevens or Tania Doko. Be Great to see Cold Chisel again Miss the Ian moss Band Shows With Phil,Dave & Kerry or as Steve sat in.Wish he would Bring them back.
yes its a shame that theres not many viewers ,but its true he's a legend and a nicer bloke you couldn't meet ( I had the pleasure at the bimbagden blues festival in 04
If anyone knows the chords to the chisel version, please let me know, it's bugging me!

Sometimes we forget that not only is Mossy one of the all time great guitarists, but he also is a great vocalist. He is another Ozzie legend\freak.

And a paltry 305 views. Saw him do this in Melbourne at the intimate Spiegeltent. Absolute legend.

I agree, so much Aussie talent around. We've just got to get the message out there!
