  • try eating lahmajun with raw lemon juice on it, that would be delicious.

  • Mashaallah very nice and delicious.

  • delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree this is only half lahmajoun... I dont like substituting the dough with pita

  • @SaroMardi Hi Saro, I know of course having the original lahmajun dough is always more delicious! This recipe is for those who do not want to go through making the dough and opening it up and all. But as so many people have requested the dough recipe I have made a video for it and it will be up asap. Thanks for your comment! Mariette

  • my mom makes the best lahmacun...:)...

  • Part I was great. Part II....don't know what to say, I don't recall eating it on a tortilla, ever! We need the bread part my dear.

  • @NinnaLulu The original lahmajun is prepared with a bread dough. This video is a short way of doing lahmajun. Specially for those majority of people who don't have much time to spend in the kitchen. The meat mixture is demonstrated on pitta bread and because pita bread is not available in most states, I also demonstrated the possibility of enjoying the Lahmajun using tortilla. A video on lahmajun dough will be upploaded in near future please check it out.

    Mariette. .

  • @NinnaLulu Hi there, well some people do not particularly have the time to make dough, or want to bother with the making of the dough. Regardless this a lovely recipe, and the making of the dough for the lahmajun will be up shortly for all those who want to make the authentic lahmajun with the actual dough. Thank you for your comment! Mariette

  • Thank you so much. I made this delicious dish for my very special guests. They loved it and I loved it. Great job.

  • @1armine Thank you so very much for your sweet message, and I will be posting soon the authentic way of making the dough for the lahmajun. So happy to hear all your guests loved it! My husband sometimes purchases some from the market and they tend to be so greasy and hardly with any topping. So I love making it at home! Mariette :)

  • @acnetbilisim so are you going to do a video then? :-)

  • @Bettkante38 I agree 100%, pita and tortillas are really different.

  • You can't make lahmajuns with tortillas. Is That the Mexican Lahmacun :-)

  • @ERZINCAN26 The original lahmajun is made with dough that's a known fact. As I have stated in my video this is the short cut way. Some places they don't have pita bread available in their area, tortilla is more widely available. Hence both were demonstrated.

    Thanks for your comment

  • @ERZINCAN26 I always used wheat tortilla for my lahmajun. it is really quick & easy way out. specially for working mom.

  • @marinezh You're right. In the past moms stayed home and had time to prepare food, like lahmajun, that required long preparation time. Working moms need recipes which requires minimum time and effort to cook for their family. Thank you for your comment.

  • This is not orginal Turkish Lahmajun you can't make lahmajuns with tortillas.

  • turkish food is the best

  • It is a traditional turkish food, you can only taste the best of it in southern and eastern regions of the country, best if hot and spicy with fresh lemon juice driziled over it wraped up with traditional tomato and finely chopped up onion salad with parsley and olive oil on top of it! (LAHMACUN)

  • Eso no es lahmayun. Es cualquier cosa.

Lahmayun se hace con masa leudada cruda. Se aplica la carne molida condimentada con la mano, y se cocina todo junto

  • Best is to buy from any pizza parlor a ball or two of the pizza dough before it's spread and you get much fresher & better results.

  • why would anybody rate this video "dislike"? Some ppl are born stupid!!!

Nice video Thanks for sharing ..

  • i love this

  • could you give us the receipe for the dough..........

  • @tierouz I will soon, and it will be up on our website, ty

  • @tierouz The dough recipe is on our site, sorry for the long delay in getting you the dough recipe!~Mariette

  • really nice video, when I saw people eating this they rolled it up added lemon juice to it and dipped it in salsa, would you still be able to roll it after you cook it or will it be too brittle?

  • @ArctusCanusLupus Yes, you can still roll it. They do squeeze a little lemon or lime juice and I have also see it eaten with a little bit of the meaty layer of roasted eggplant.

  • Bien artesanal! como va a manipular asi la comida?? Ok es cierto que muchas veces comemos alimentos en restaurant que ni sabemos como los preparan, pero lo cierto es que no lo ves, muy mala la higiene, por mas que se lave las manos.

  • Thank you for doing all this thank you for your work i learnd so many things shukran ktir..

  • @tastuski Sure anytime :)

  • @PattonZIPPO Thank you for your complement. I am glad you like the video. And thanks for posting.

  • Very very delicious recept, Im making the bottom myself lately, do you have a video how to do that also?

    Kind regards

  • @NoStrezzz1977 This is an authentic recipe from the Middle East. I am glad you like it. I will do a video about how to prepare the dough for the lahmajun shortly. When I do I'll notify you. Thank you for posting.

  • @HowToExpo Thank you very much. Im looking forward to the video. Im not the only one liking it, everyone else who tried it really likes it.

Putting some fresh salad in it and roll it up, it doesnt get any better

  • how hot the oven should be

  • @ramisoboh preheat the oven to 400 degrees and be careful not to cook the lahmajun on the lower rack for more than 5 minutes. For the remaining time cook it on the top rack. Thanks for posting

  • @ramisoboh 400 degree.

    Thanks for posting

  • I have been making Lahmajun for years but I learned to make it by using my own dough. Since making the dough is time consuming, I haven't made it in a long while. I'm not sure using a flour tortilla will deliver the taste I'm after, and most of the Pita I find is too thick for Lahmajun. The pita she used looks perfect, I'm wondering where I can find some like that.

  • @SilkyTP The bread I used is Lebanese bread found in any Middle Eastern store. Lebanese bread is larger and thinner than most other pita breads.

    Thanks for posting.

  • as another person mentioned..I am wondering if you could use dough instead of the already made bread, if it would turn out?? BTW I love your recipes!

  • @cherokiimslm You can use dough, but the traditional dough doesnt rise much and is very thin, I will have the dough recipe up soon on our website. Thank you for watching our videos and for the compliment. Sorry For the late reply also :)

  • This is a good one as well as some of your other ones but the vegan ones I am afraid to try as I like meat hahaha

  • i like,i like, i like!!!!!

  • This woman is so amaizing...her voice and those hands...makes everything so real and natural. The food looks wholesome as well. Namaste

  • I think for a home its the best way to make lehmajun. but bread will dry out :(

  • excellent

  • Thanks Mariet! Those tortillas have some sweet taste - zzveli ;). May be pita e Iraq is better, but why not to use original dough? I made once with water salt and flour - like indian chapati ( 1 cup of flour, 1/2 tea spoon salt, 1/2 cup water)

  • Dünyanın ve İngiliz gıda lanet! Ben Lamacun aşk

My mother's name is Mariette too! Not a very common name.

I wonder do you have any vegetarian Lahmajoun recepies?

  • a tortilla? Amoot dzez! What's next boboli Pizza? We must take the time to make the dough.

  • looks very simple, thanks alot

  • Looks delish!

  • this looks very good- yummmmm!

  • I am going to make this tonight for the first time. Is 10 minutes enough time to cook the meat throughly

  • Hello 2000xlt, Glad you are giving the recipe a try. The cooking time depends on the amount of meat you place on the bread. Once you see the edges of the tortilla or pita bread has become golden brown then its done. With Lahmajun, the layer of meat is spread thinly and cooking time of 10 minutes should be plenty.

  • thank you for sharing honey:)

  • desastre

  • I will surprise my wife tomorrow. Thank you very much.

  • Thank you very much for posting this video.

    God bless you,

  • Thank you. God bless you too.
