@Skankpronger A garden hose would be useless on a fire of that size, in fact, you'd be very likely to be burnt by the radiant heat if you were close enough to use a garden hose.

@Skankpronger Trained hands would know a garden hose is useless on a fire of that size. They also would know you need enough GPM's to overcome the thermal energy, and a garden hose does a poor job of that. That's also why most departments don't have 1" booster hose for structure fires anymore.

@Skankpronger Garden hose doesn't have enough pressure to reach the roof of a house........besides could you imagine how hot it is near that house........you'd get burnt and sick by the smoke.
