I am 50/50 on this. It does help the auto industy somewhat and all the business that are accosiated with the auto industy.but like most of us I believe it is hurting us more than helping. We need to quit importing so much JUNK from overseas and manufacture our own goods which creates more jobs for us AMERICANS! Also get rid of the illegal immigrants! I don't hate mexicans/south americans but if your here speak english and become a citizin!

Cash for Clunkers is going to hurt our economy in the long-run. Poor working people and students need those clunkers that are being destroyed.

oh yeah this wellfare for car dealers is going to be a short term band aid. ultimately the gross government waste is going to catch up.
