I have taken many, MANY a hit in football. I know what I'm talking about and I know how dangerous it can be. I played "flanker" or receiver in HS. Cut over the middle on a slant route MANY a time. Hardest hit I've ever taken was a blind side hit from a Lexington HS linebacker on a up the middle curl route. It's football, this is the nature of the game. You cant water it down, or soften it up. Because then you are changing the game. Part of the intensity is looking for these hits.
