Actually the Catholic church was established by Jesus Christ through St Peter. Peter took Jesus' teachings to Rome, in which time many Catholics were doing under ground mass. They hid in their houses and a Priest (apostles or the people they trained) would turn the bread and wine to the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Have you noticed that the issue is somewhat irrelevant, because even if St. Peter had not been in Rome, may well have one of his successors have moved to Rome and to minister there (St. Peter's in Rome was not always thus the Papacy did not always have to be related to Rome in the beginning) (present as the evidence is so strong, some have come to accept that if St. Peter may well have been in Rome, bishop was not there)

We just have to repent and accept it, then good works will flow from you. No amount of Good works will save you, Man is not capable .

@HereIam108 I remember the Romans arrested Jesus and killed Him. I also remember that Paul was imprisoned in Rome. Also Romans didnt listen to Jeremiah and used to laugh at him. Have you noticed that the issue is somewhat irrelevant, because even if St. Peter had not been in Rome, may well have one of his successors have moved to Rome and to minister there (St. Peter's in Rome was not always thus the Papacy did not always have to be related to Rome in the beginning) (present as the evidence is so strong, some have come to accept that if St. Peter may well have been in Rome, bishop was not there)

@ThePeregrinoBlanco My late reply, just saw it now. Yes there is an issue because if Peter never went to Rome, how and where did the Roman catholic based their doctrine? I would have believed it if you said Paul was the first Pope because he was a Roman citizen, and was even prisoned in Rome. But in the Bible Jesus gave the key to Peter, so then its Peter but he never went to Rome. There are doctrines coming from the pagan practices of Rome.

@truthfulreply I think this is for me, sorry for my late reply. Nobody comdones sexual abuses. The RCC is Roman which means they were pagans. Romans Adopted Christianity as a political move but retained pagan practices. Roman killed Christians. They were powerful then, they abused authority. Sexual abuses were also present then. Anyway, no matter how many 'bad" people there is in the ones church, that is not the basis if you read the Bible. God Bless you!!!

Just from plainly reading the Bible you will see what the Romans did. They dominated their region and in fact killed Jesus. Can you deny that? The Bible tells me how to be saved, religion does not save us, the Bible did not teach that. Nothing in this world can save us except it come from above, and we accept it. @ThePeregrinoBlanco I can assure you that i have faith. I agree with regarding Abrahams faith that God liked. The Old Testament is about the Law, but the new testament is about the Grace. We dont have to offer lamb sacrifices; thats why Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice, "The Lamb of God." When He died, He said "It is Done". Salvation completed. We just have to repent and accept it, then good works will flow from you. No amount of Good works will save you, Man is not capable .

@genesisIIrevelation Have you noticed that the issue is somewhat irrelevant, because even if St. Peter had not been in Rome, may well have one of his successors have moved to Rome and to minister there (St. Peter's in Rome was not always thus the Papacy did not always have to be related to Rome in the beginning) (present as the evidence is so strong, some have come to accept that if St. Peter may well have been in Rome, bishop was not there)

@HereIam108 I remember the Romans arrested Jesus and killed Him. I also remember that Paul was imprisoned in Rome. Also Romans didnt listen to Jeremiah and used to laugh at him. How did Rome became Christians when they persecute the Christians? And Peter did not go to Rome, Peter was a fisherman(low stature of society during that time) and probably would not mix with Romans.

Everyday, in the form of temptations, etc. Any occasion that may lead us to sin. I'm sure you know that the devil's goal is to keep us from God, to keep us from going to heaven.
These lead us to St. Michael. I asked for the intercession of St. Michael the Archangel because he is the one appointed by God to fight the Devil; to defend us in battle. :)

@genesisIIrevelation receive the sacraments. These sacraments (Baptism,Confirmation, Reconciliation,Holy Eucharist,Holy Orders, Matrimony, Anointing of the Sick) were established by Jesus to aid us in our journey to Heaven. :)
In essence, we cannot judge anyone, if he will be saved or not. Or if a dead person was saved or not. Even Hitler.. because in the end, it will be up to the mercy and love of God. :D

Find the heritage of the early church by tracing back almost 2000 years. Any encyclopedia will do-look under Saint Peter for starters. There were hundreds of letters from the Early church Fathers-easily accessible online[St ignatius of antioch. Clement of rome & many more]Read The Didache-interesting.Hope this helps.

Sure you can FEEL sorry for your sins, but feeling is not a perfect indicator of reality. Jesus died on the Cross because "the wages of sin is death", meaning someone had to pay the penalty that we ourselves can't pay due to our sins. I mean, if I owed you a million dollars, and couldn't pay it, what would you do?
