It gives a bit of a challenge and she doesnt sell herself cheap so u are greatly rewarded when u reeeaally get and awesome horse. Do it on normal =)
Really?cool. Flaxen Chestnut,yeah. He was the best. I wish he'd been younger from the first,tho. I hated agreeing to retire him,but he wasn't no frollicking foal no more,ya know?i will def name a horse after him in GR. And start a new profile every two years i finish in G1 just to ride him again. Is it wierd that i dream of pointing him down that homestretch and urging him on to victory?cuz i do. :)

@JoCamp696 =) I am soooo glad that u are interested and humbled that my vids fed ur interest. I say u should start with 2003 or 2004. 2003 has a homie feel to it and I think it's great for beginners as it is easier to focus on your individual horses. You want playing the game to be a joy and u can become stress with the macromanagment of so many horses in 2004. HAHA trust me- I know. =) But the decision is still urs. Ps2's are easy to come by, esp the slim ones that are still selling strong =D
@JoCamp696 =) which one are u getting? 2003 SMOKY SPHERE is a good start, 2004 basically do the best with the mount you have been requested to ride, 2001 is the most challenging and you will have to take what u can grab but do NOT start off with more than 2 horses, because they will eat up ur finances in no time especially if ur not getting wins. 2006 Heck, u can design ur own horses in customizing mode

So awesome! I love GR too. I have 2001 and I love it so much. I ended up getting GR 2006 but lost it...It was really confusing anyway, so its not much of a loss. I love this version way more. I have had this game for so many years that I already reached year 202 in my career.

Actually, I thought that the rider eval was supposed to be out of 100, but I get over 100 alot, and the highest Ive gotten was 127, so I really don't know how high it will go.
@jaylew1987 tell me about it. I could play it for hours. But I dont usally play it all the time. I get these small adictions to it every couple months and then play for weeks, get a bunch of accomplishments and then stop playing for a while. I mean I never know what I will do next. Im going to post a picture I drew of one of my best original horses on my deviantart account. I will be sure to link it to you when I get it up.

I have 2001 and 2006 from America but unfortunately I live in the UK sooo I had to make a copy so the ps2 would play it lol - sort of sucks seeing as the loading is so slow. Ah well, they're so much worth it. With 2001, the game doesn't seem to recognise me pressing "up" So the Jockey accelerates the horse, very much. It often misses it. Is that just the game or...? I have anothe question about 2006, but I'll ask that later, lol :) Nice video by the way! :D
@phantomstallionfan96 Hmmm u mean this one in the video? That's gallop racer 2/2001. ^^ One tip I have is that if you are just starting out, olay around in free mode until u get the hang of it. Have u ever ridden? (lol i mean in real life) ^^

@sonicromer YUP im a girl lol. I feel the saaaaame way about the older games. I mean right now it really does seem to focus on graphics and technology and not the depth of storyline and majestic quality. I will revert back to gbc and advance games as well as psx and 64 XD The graphics may suck compared to now but they are quality games you never tire of. Example is Dragon warrior monsters for GBC compared to the Dragonquest monsters Joker DS
anythime you get a chance and get Bo Jangles, buy him. The most gutsy horse in the game. I've had him before but retired him early. He's now won 39 races with me trying to hit 40. Great Game!

Its one of my favorite games on PS2..probably the better of all new horse racing games. If you win enough races, especially the Grade1's, you will produce enough money to buy a really good horse and perhaps win the Triple Crown! Really Really fun and a good buy even though its a little outdated!
gallop racers are awesome... Ive got all the versions for ps2 2001, 2003, 2004 & 2006... the best of those is the 2004.. excellent graphics and bold storyline... but the best feature is the aerial view and it is only shown in the 2001 version. I also got G1 Jockey 3, and BC World Thoroughbres Championship video game... but nothing beats GR... it is also a G1 jockey 2008 version for PS3 but, is available for US consoles... or just for Japanese, UK and other part of Europe's PS3 modes?

I wish they would make a game that combines the racing from GR2006 with the trainer "relationships" of GR2004, the training from GR2003 and race veiws of GR2001! That would be an awesome game!

I'm getting these soon. What horse do you reccomend to start with?

@JoCamp696 =) which one are u getting? 2003 SMOKY SPHERE is a good start, 2004 basically do the best with the mount you have been requested to ride, 2001 is the most challenging and you will have to take what u can grab but do NOT start off with more than 2 horses, because they will eat up ur finances in no time especially if ur not getting wins. 2006 Heck, u can design ur own horses in customizing mode

So awesome! I love GR too. I have 2001 and I love it so much. I ended up getting GR 2006 but lost it...It was really confusing anyway, so its not much of a loss. I love this version way more. I have had this game for so many years that I already reached year 202 in my career.

Actually, I thought that the rider eval was supposed to be out of 100, but I get over 100 alot, and the highest Ive gotten was 127, so I really don't know how high it will go.

@jaylew1987 tell me about it. I could play it for hours. But I dont usally play it all the time. I get these small adictions to it every couple months and then play for weeks, get a bunch of accomplishments and then stop playing for a while. I mean I never know what I will do next. Im going to post a picture I drew of one of my best original horses on my deviantart account. I will be sure to link it to you when I get it up.

I have 2001 and 2006 from America but unfortunately I live in the UK sooo I had to make a copy so the ps2 would play it lol - sort of sucks seeing as the loading is so slow. Ah well, they're so much worth it. With 2001, the game doesn't seem to recognise me pressing "up" So the Jockey accelerates the horse, very much. It often misses it. Is that just the game or...? I have anothe question about 2006, but I'll ask that later, lol :) Nice video by the way! :D

@phantomstallionfan96 Hmmm u mean this one in the video? That's gallop racer 2/2001. ^^ One tip I have is that if you are just starting out, olay around in free mode until u get the hang of it. Have u ever ridden? (lol i mean in real life) ^^

ehmm your a girl?? well !nice game!! i the first and the last game that i play was gallop racer for psx the games have too much change snow,, all are graphics, but i miss the old times when the games was games, and when in the consoles must be a lot for kind of games of all generes ! nice vid, thanks for upload ! have a nice day !

@sonicromer YUP im a girl lol. I feel the saaaaame way about the older games. I mean right now it really does seem to focus on graphics and technology and not the depth of storyline and majestic quality. I will revert back to gbc and advance games as well as psx and 64 XD The graphics may suck compared to now but they are quality games you never tire of. Example is Dragon warrior monsters for GBC compared to the Dragonquest monsters Joker DS

anythime you get a chance and get Bo Jangles, buy him. The most gutsy horse in the game. I've had him before but retired him early. He's now won 39 races with me trying to hit 40. Great Game!

I said it before, I'll say it again, cause I have played an beat every Gallop Racer game.
GR2001 was the best of the bunch. There was no cheating your way to the best horses. If you wanted the best horses in the game, you had to EARN them!

@1smexypony - it has to do with how many and what type of races u win. Go for g2 and g1 races.

Its one of my favorite games on PS2..probably the better of all new horse racing games. If you win enough races, especially the Grade1's, you will produce enough money to buy a really good horse and perhaps win the Triple Crown! Really Really fun and a good buy even though its a little outdated!

gallop racers are awesome... Ive got all the versions for ps2 2001, 2003, 2004 & 2006... the best of those is the 2004.. excellent graphics and bold storyline... but the best feature is the aerial view and it is only shown in the 2001 version. I also got G1 Jockey 3, and BC World Thoroughbres Championship video game... but nothing beats GR... it is also a G1 jockey 2008 version for PS3 but, is available for US consoles... or just for Japanese, UK and other part of Europe's PS3 modes?

I WOULD be interested in seeing videos from gallop racers from before PS2. I've heard there's 1 for SNES. I would LOVE to see that and possibly try to find a copy for purchase.

I wish they would make a game that combines the racing from GR2006 with the trainer "relationships" of GR2004, the training from GR2003 and race veiws of GR2001! That would be an awesome game!
