i went on this ride mid July while it was raining, and it was like being pelted with hail lol. Still one of the best rides at Universal. The force you feel when it launches you 0-40 in like 1 second is incredible.

@UFmobster Well the first part where the tunnel launches you gives you the initial rush as it can often catch you by suprise, but after that the ride flows very smoothly and I didn't get that drop feeling.

Which would be easier on me for my first experience Dragon Challenge ( dueling dragons) or the hulk. I'm 14 and have only be on the Aerosmith roller coaster at Hollywood Studios which wasn't much. Please help!

@ZakBagansluvr1126 Well depends.. Hulk will probably be faster and have steeper drops is what I'm assuming... If you prefer being suspended in the air I think you would like dragon challenge better, it looks milder so I was gonna try to ride that first, then the Hulk.. Either way, good luck!

@ZakBagansluvr1126 well im different and i went last week, and i chose the hulk first. for first experience and you want somthing lighter, try the gryphon ride at Harry Potter castle... its small but fun! but if dont want it that small and you want to choose between the Dueling Dragons or the Hulk choose the Dueling Dragons. Even though you are higher in the air, it is not a strong. If you dont like high rides (afraid of heights) i would choose the hulk. Good luck and have fun! I sure did!

@littlekidnumberone the hulk is actually higher in the air then the dueling dragons! the highest point is at the top of the lift hill which is 105ft, an the hulk top of the lift hill is 150ft! an it stays around that height until it gets to the back part of the ride!

I know I'm going to get hated on for this comment, but I found this ride to be very overrated. Everyone told me beforehand how smooth it was, but I found the ride to be very rough. And although the ride is very intense, it just feels like it's missing something.

Dueling Dragons and the 2 dark rides (Spiderman and Harry Potter) are both better overall than this one. Thumbs down.

@365DaysOfRobots GO BIG! Pretty much pick the coaster that looks the scariest and bring a friend who will make sure you don't chicken out. If you have the option of riding front row, go with it. Get all the negative stuff out of your head too. Nothing bad will happen on the ride and it's over before you know it. Just enjoy the feeling of flying. It's a rush!

Trust me, once you find the courage to ride something intense, you'll get over your fear and pretty much ride anything.
