Toast sucks for real compared to Nero which is a relatively cheap software! The options from Nero are endless compared to Toast.

The caller sounds like he doesn't really know what he's doing. Seriously, if he's a video editor and "heavy into video editing" why would he be using Nero? Also, if he has the money for all those Macs, why doesn't he just use FCP or even FCE? Also, why install *both* Parallels and VMWare Fusion?

I am going to start making videos on you tube I heard that final cut is not that ez to use I am going to view this video over. I know there are programs that for the money are better.which one of the programs talk about is the better of the two thanks for posting

i use burn; a free mac software for mac for both audio and video conversion. i also use visualhub(not free) for video conversions too(more options). u can also use itunes; it does certain media conversions too.

ha. iMovie is hardly an editor, it is just for putting together clips and making them flow. Aswell as putting a few basic effects.

true but it is really easy to use as well as final cut pro. I think if your going to video edit you should use either avid or fcp. they are the best

iMovie HD 6 has a timeline, and support for green screen plug-ins along with several generators, special fx and audio manipulation, transitions, and other things! I'd call that an editor!

Roxio is well better then nero, I really dont lie nero and it screws up all my ISO files and is very "You controll how you want to rip" so if anything goes wrong its my fault. Roxio is more like "Sit back, we will take care of everything" and nothing ever goes wrong

i had nero, it took total control over everything. i had to reinstall my os to get rid of it. i use roxio now.
