Gegen Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts haben auch in Deutschland die Angehörigen der verschiedenen Orden ihren Einzug gehalten.
Der Zisterzienser Orden Kolbatz gründete um 1175 das Kloster Oliva bei Danzig. In den Jahren 1220 bis 1227 wurde von Wartislaw, dem Enkel des Klosterstifters an Kolbatz verkauft.
Das Kloster legte hier eine Grangie (Wirtschaftshof) an. 1326 geht die Grangie in der Fehde des Klosters mit dem Adel in Flammen auf.

You are right that the Templars took a vow of chastity (celibacy) and could not marry. For once they were inducted into the Order of the Poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon they were not only warriors but also religious monks.

The Knights Templar don't exist, they were disbanded 700 years ago. Yeah, there are stories that they survived in secrecy, but that has never been proven. There are also dozens of modern masonic organizations that claim to be their descendants, but that's very unlikely, there are millions who claim to be modern Templars. I'm a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus but my 4th Degree Brother Knights adorn themselves with a destinct emblem than the Poor Knight of the Temple of Solomon also wore: The Red Crusader Cross. The Knights of Malta wear the same White Maltese Cross that were worn by the Knights of St. John.

Die Auflage das papstes war ,dass der orden streng katholisch sein muss .
Da aber Brüder aus anderen christlichen konfessionen dem orden beigetreten sind verzichtete der orden auf eine neugründung durch den papst .

The Poor Knights of thr Temple of Solomon swore a vow of celabacy as part of their monastic vows. Either your a descendant of someone else of the same Noble Family or yeah im sure you figure out the other side of that little problem.

My Sclafani's go back to 1st Crusade, think it was either in 1000's or mid 1100's, but 1083 sticks inn my mind, Matteo later 1200'. My orginal ancestor was a either a German Count or a Norman. Rugero di Altavilla, aka. Roger de Hauteville. Matteo descende from this line, as do I. I'm also a gamer on "War of Warcraft", w/ a main character, HuntressDi, lvl 70 Mage, on The Underbog. I have come across the grand name of The Knights Templar name being for guilds.)

They could be the descendants of the survivors of the Templars when the order was disbanded and thus freed from their vows. You are right that the Templars took a vow of chastity (celibacy) and could not marry. For once they were inducted into the Order of the Poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon they were not only warriors but also religious monks.

The Knights Templar don't exist, they were disbanded 700 years ago. Yeah, there are stories that they survived in secrecy, but that has never been proven. There are also dozens of modern masonic organizations that claim to be their descendants, but that's very unlikely, there are millions who claim to be modern Templars. It's all bullshit, if you ask me.

But I know this in Germany a big Templar organisation gives itself for it reinstates and for it fight around from Pabst and the whole world in being recognised as an order!! And as far as I am informed they also fight for vereinigung of all Templars organisations Weltweit!!

Thank you and God Bless. However, their are Catholic Orders and Fraternities that do aspire to things of a similar nature to those of the Poor Knight of the Temple of Solomon. I'm a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus but my 4th Degree Brother Knights adorn themselves with a destinct emblem than the Poor Knight of the Temple of Solomon also wore: The Red Crusader Cross. The Knights of Malta wear the same White Maltese Cross that were worn by the Knights of St. John.

Schade dass die Burg Hohenbaden heute nur noch eine Ruine ist. Wäre doch genial wenn man die wieder aufbauen würde nach Originalvorbild natürlich. Dann würde sie wieder erstrahlen wie in alten Zeiten :)

Wonderfull vid 5 stars-In portugal the knights of the temple were very important,we were a nation made by crusaders,witch owned a great part of the whole portuguese territory,the iberian wars with the muslims were total wars,of mass extermination,mostly against the almorabids,that were fanatic peoples.
It was other times......people had to be very strong or die.

We have several Templar churchs in Spain: one close to Segovia and the other close to Duraton's river in Guadalajara. There is another one in Toledo that is going to be restored by the Spanish Templars. We are trying to be approved by the Vatican. Templars' revival is due to the Muslim's silent invasion in my country. Muslims against Christians as happened in the Crusades.

Vor längerer Zeit habe bereits einen Brief an das "Generalsekretariat OSMTH Deutsches Großpriorat" geschrieben, mit der Frage, wie ich Mitglied werden kann. Leider kamen "nur" Informationen über den Orden, jedoch keine Hinweise an wen ich mich genau wenden muss. Kannst du mir da als "insider" einen Rat geben?
