Tales of Symphonia: Final Battle - Mithos (Mania)

When did you do the princess rescue side quest? Can I do it even if I've made packt with every summon spirit?

You can do that sidequest after speaking with the Elder at Latheon Gorge. But for the costumes themselves, it's right after the Flanoir Scenes (if I recall). Anytime after that point (if you decided to keep Zelos in your party) will enable you to get the costumes.

Not too sure if you can do it immediately after the Flanoir Scenes, if you've chosen Kratos (I have not tried that).

It's actually after visiting the Tower of Salvation the 2nd time, you go to Altessa's home and all those scenes with Mithos occur. Afterwards you need to go to Flanoir to get a hold of the doctor. From there, the scenes start. :]

Google Tales of Symphonia costumes and there are guides with a bunch of side quests you can do to get the costumes :)

I allways play with sheena/ Kratos/ zelos, Lloyd, Raine and Genis...jujuju i never used Regal or Collete in this battle

@brittanyS123 some titles come with different costumes that change the characters visage in battle and on the field in general, for example, Lloyd's Nobleman title makes him look like a prince!! Personally for me, this makes the game alot more fun on different playthroughs! The anime cutscenes show everyone in their default clothes regardless of titles however!!! Personally, I like Lloyd's "Arrgh, Me Heartess!" title the best because it turns him into a pirate!!!

Awesome i could do it on mania but having to listen to yggdrasil and mithos blather on and on and on is the reason i bought Tales of Vesperia which is awesome 5/5 my friend

The voiceacting is really hit-and-miss here... like always. >_>; Luckily it didn't detract too much from an otherwise entertaining game.

The truth can't possibly detract from the inherent value of the game; it's just that some voice-acting is hit-and-miss, and my personal feeling on Lloy'd English voice is that it's a miss. You don't have to agree with me and I'm not saying the game is bad (on the contrary, it's tied for my favorite Tales game), but this is my opinion.

Yeah, I find that an annoying glitch where sometimes Mithos actually moves when he's talking and other times he doesn't move during this scene. I wonder if that's something they fixed in the PS2 version...
