I understand your points. I feel the fq400 is way overpriced for the performance. When given the option I would take a GTR over the fq400 for that small of a price difference. But, I feel the best deal would be to buy a stock Evo (or a car of similar price and performance) and tune it. Seems to be a lot cheaper and you get more performance.
With just a simple Ecu tune, a stock GTR will make 650 whp. For 15 grand, which should be pocket change for most GTR owners you can get a Switzer P800 package. (800 awhp). Just do a GTR vs Veyron search on youtube, i can assure you, you wont see evo owners trying to compare their cars to those GTRs.
Again, they might share a similar drivetrain being awd, turbo'ed etc, but they are completely different cars on a track. Jeremy Clarkson sums it up "the turbo the size of tokyo molested by Godzilla."

At the end of the day the tuning capabilities for the GT-R are a lot more than an EVO, the GT-R can probably handle around 800bhp on stock internals. Around small narrow corners I believe the EVO is faster than almost anything out there, but the GT-R has it beat at almost anything else.

take the velocity, square it, and divide by the radius of the curve you're going around .. thats how many "g's" your feeling.. In the video it says the gtr pulls more g's so it must be faster around the corner.. this is absolutely correct as long as both cars were using the same lanes (the radius was the same for both vehicles)

if i had the EVO i would've beaten the GTR.
Evo is a 2.0L 401bhp turbo, GTR is a 3.8L 530bhp twin turbo V6. so really??? do you really need a twin turbo, 1.8L, 130bhp more than an evo to beat it?? LOL.
GTR does 0-60mph in 3.2 secs, Evo does it in 3.5 secs. difference of .3 sec? despite the huge engine and power difference and huge price difference too...
just imagine if 530bhp was given to the Evo! it already keeps up with one of the fastest and most expensive cars in the world with a 2.0L...

@supervegeta3 I agree with you man. it really is a marvel how Mitusbishi squeezed so much power from a 2.0L engine! Would like to see sum twin turbos on that Evo and a bigger displacement and see how it flies!
In the end though, i'd still take the GTR. I love the heritage of the Skyline and not just its awesome power!

@supervegeta3 Both cars are great, the EVO has a lot of lag, the GT-R has no lag. At the end of the day the tuning capabilities for the GT-R are a lot more than an EVO, the GT-R can probably handle around 800bhp on stock internals. Around small narrow corners I believe the EVO is faster than almost anything out there, but the GT-R has it beat at almost anything else.

@supervegeta3 it's actually 3,8 for the evo and the price difference isn't massive..it's 10000 for a 2010 model gt-r and 20000 for a full spec 2012 gt-r..don't get me wrong i'm a huge evo fan but the evo is not as good as a gt-r..it's maybe 70% of what a gt-r is..

The GTR will walk away from it after 100mph, there is no comparsion. The GTR can also be used as an every day car whereas the evos ride is terrible, comparing these to is like comparing butter and a rapist. you just carnt do it, there to different. you obviously have no understanding of these two, if any, cars.

I don't care about the cornering g and I won't be going through slaloms. I'd rather have the evo. I love the gtr. it's fantastic. but I'd rather have a 6 speed proper manual instead of the semi auto. and the car is a lil too technical for my liking. the evo is also more tuneable. and also more practical.

@mitsuevo8mr you are so misinformed. The gtr v6 is not even remotely close to the VQ series V6 in a 350z... And read into it a bit more, here in Australia, Whiteline have an R35 with modified mid pipes and a flash tune that is pulling 512kw at all fours, have you seen what happens when they change the turbo's on these. Sorry mate, i love the Evo's but the GTR is a super car in comparison.

both cars are nice, but the best skyline godzilla is called are the gtr r34s, first mistake nissan made was to replace the inline six with a 350z engine with twin turbo, well between this two i must go with the evo x, v6 wont hold much power, u will never see this r35 with 1200hp at the wheel, evos u see them just ask ams, r34's and supras and evos are thebest japanese, the 3000gt vr4 and rx7's are also nice, and dsms, this is not a tuner's car anymore, this is more like a luxury fast car.....

take the velocity, square it, and divide by the radius of the curve you're going around .. thats how many "g's" your feeling.. In the video it says the gtr pulls more g's so it must be faster around the corner.. this is absolutely correct as long as both cars were using the same lanes (the radius was the same for both vehicles)
the reason why they measure g-force is solely to determine which car can take corners faster.. hmm I'd rather the evo..

the gtr has a higher top speed and will be manufactured with better tyres so the gtr should give more G and the evo knocked over a cone in the cone test probli saving it the time it won by. conclusion. both drivers are shit and this video is a waste of time. id have the evo though

I dont claim to be a great driver, but these guys certainly arent the best picks to test them, compare the price of the evo to the price of the GTR, i think id rather the evo for that matter, 3 tests definitely isnt enough to determine which is a better car.
