ya, its harder for some, then others...ive been studying little over a year, i know hiragana and a bit of kanji...my one weak point is that i spent almost the whole first year of learning Japanese on my writing skill, so i still have to catch up on my speaking! It takes about 10,000-20,000 studying hours to become fluent!

I still have a long way to go but I can say from the other languages I've studied, Japanese is one of the easier languages and the best sounding!
