  • Thanks just reset the light on 2010 corolla after seeing it for one week.excellent video

  • I sincerely thank you for this good neighbor help. Saved me a lot off calling around. I can get my oil changed soon without the annoying "maint reqrd" light on.Light should say->" suggest oil service"!

  • You da man. This cut my maintenance required light off just like you showed in the video.

  • I had an '08 Corolla S and my process was slightly different. What I had to do instead is to simply set it to the ODO(odometer) instead of the trip, follow the same instructions with the ignition, hold the reset button while turning on, and it reset the maintenance light. I'm not sure if this applies to other '08 Corolla S cars but I hope this will help for similar cars out there.

  • very easy the way you showed it. Thank you. You are awesome

  • awesome!!! Thanks.

  • Thank you. It worked for me. Tried looking in the owners manual and couldn't find out how to reset. Much appreciated.

  • thanks, it worked, ill keep coming back for more salo tips i mean car videos

  • It worked! Thanks!

  • This only worked on my 2009 Corolla when I had it set to the odometer, NOT the trip button.

  • Thank you so much!!!!

Keep helping people. You are awesome!

  • Best video for maintenance light ever! Ive tried a couple. Thanks!!

  • Good job thanks for the info

  • awesome thanks, i just wanted to kno what the light meant and i just found out . thanks

  • IF THE ENGINE LIGHT ON, YOU NEED TO CHECK AND REPLACE YOUR GAS CAP, THOSE ENGINE LIGHT ARE SENSITIVE, THE MANY YEARS YOUR CAR GETTING OLD AND HOW MANY TIMES YOU OPEN CLOSE YOUR GAS CAP TO FILL UP A GAS, THE RUBBER WASHER IS TORN FROM MANY USED. REPLACING A NEW FACTORY GAS CAP WILL MAKE SURE YOUR CAR HAVE A CORRECT EMMISION AND CORRECT PRESSURE OF THE GAS TANK,,, HOPEFULLY THIS IS HELPFUL TO YOU GUYS,,,, GOODLUCK,,,,,

  • Thanks much appreciated

  • Many Thanks! It worked on my '09 Venza.

  • thanks for the video

  • On my 2006 Corolla, you put the trip setting to OD and hold it down. I tried it this morning and, "Excelsior!" it worked. God I love the internet!

  • @tread831 what do you mean by 'OD' i'm trying to reset my light :/

  • I just changed my oil and oil filter and reset the maint. required light. What I'd like to know though, is what makes this light turn on in the first place, and after having replaced the oil myself, will the light turn on when its time to change the oil again?

  • @lasdlt It's set by the odometer, there is no "oil detector sensor". When you see "000000" after the dashes go away, that's actually the trip computer resetting the maintenance odometer. It comes on every 5000 miles or so.

  • thanks man!

  • maint eeqd light, doesn't that mean something is broken in your car??

or is it just meaningless light? i have 09 corolla and today i noticed that light was on all the time.. please help...

  • @mongolnudraga The Maintenance Reqd. basically means you need to change your oil. On older Toyotas, there would be an "Oil Change" light. This light replaces it. If your car comes back after getting the oil changed and this light is not off, reset it yourself. My vehicle commonly comes from the local Toyota dealer without the light being reset. It's just where they forgot. Do it yourself and no harm will be done.

  • @guineaphinea alright, thank you so much for the advice :)

  • thanks for the advice ..looking at the light is annoying when u know u've put in new stuff

  • thanks a lot man. These damn oil change places say that I have to take it to the dealer to get the light reset. i never knew this was this simple. You are the best. Thanks again.

  • Thank you! I couldn't stand that light anymore! :)

  • Very helpful video! I couldn't find any information on how to do this in my owner's manual, so this was great.

  • Thanks for this Upload. Very informative.

  • Thanks man. My Corolla was harping at me since I am within about 400 miles of needing my scheduled maintenance at 20000 miles. I know I am due soon, but this light comes on a few weeks before the miles really reach time for scheduled maintenance. Happened at my 15000 miles as well and had to turn it off. I like the reminder, but it would be nice if it did it right at the 5000 mile increase rather than 4500.

  • Thanks! This worked on my 2010 Corolla.

  • that's cool man...i done it and now no maint reqd blink on my corolla anymore...cool!!!!!

    thank u very much...!!!!!
