When Bert said "I don't want four cookies" I just knew it was coming because similar things have happened in other videos I've been watching like the 'ice cream soda' & 'pizza & grape juice' scenes.

I also loved it when Bert said "I don't want four cookies." I'm not sure why he cared so much if there were only four cookies for him to eat, especially he knew that Ernie only ate one cookie, and he was giving Bert the rest of the cookies. Sometimes I feel like saying "Bert, just relax, Ernie only had one and you get to eat four, and four is more than one." Also, if Bert really wanted to eat five cookies, he could've just ran to Hooper's Store very fast to buy a cookie to make it five.

That's a very good point. Maybe Bert wanted Ernie to watch the cookies because Bert wanted to make sure no bugs or mice would come by and land on the cookies where Ernie was there to make the bugs and mice leave. (If so, Bert should've just put the cookies in a box or a cookie jar). Another reason why Bert probably wanted Ernie to watch the cookies was because, he was probably afraid if Cookie Monster came by or broke into the apartment where Cookie Monster would've stolen the cookies.

By any chance, does anyone recall the B & E sketch from the very early years. It's when Bert tells Ernie it's his turn to go buy a newspaper. But Ernie makes such a fuss and takes forever to get ready to go. Then Ernie says he can't go because they don't have any gum—in case he happens to run into a bear on the way to the store, he'd have to feed him gum in order to not get eaten. : ) Does anyone know if that's on the DVD's. Or can someone post that? PLEASE???
