  • @SuperBige62 yes you can use the prodigy controller. I use prodigy advance squared.

  • @jlwii2000 How much $ does the prodigy controller cost?

  • I'm so new to model railroading that I don't even have a layout yet, but I'd love to have this engine and another one like it in BNSF livery, too.

    Nice-looking track work.

  • That silver metal piece that moves in side the couplar is only suppose to go in half way

  • Really good review man! My friend has one, he loves it! I want one too!

  • @zirathekillerlioness yeah program them both to the track

  • thanks for your videos very helpful an DAAAAAMMMMNNNN you got a lot of cash to spend on trains. You rich or somethin? You got a nice ass house and nice ass car and judging by your videos you got about 15 grand in train shit in just a year. Plus your 30 grand car plus the 5 grand you put into it! Big baller! You def got more money than that broke ass monsterrailroad guy

  • I'm so anxious for my new M.T.H. SD70M-2 Norfolk Southern with PS3. I've heard that they have rear ditch lights too! I think its coming out December/January

  • @knightbob81 I think they're already out dude. do a google search

  • @jlwii2000 I know they have some out already but there coming out with a "new batch" or what ever you want to call it. maybe even a Re-run of them..

  • how did you fix the re-coupling problem?

  • @piipponene just added more cars and no speed

  • Great looking model. I am into n scale, and have video of SD70 ACe in action, including a dpu.

  • What did you do to fix the coupler system?

  • I love this,im going to get this but the CSX one

  • Looks Great man!!!

  • cool i am not all that good at makeing vids

  • Hey check out monsterailroads way of modifying the couplers so you dont have to back up so fast

  • I'm thinking about getting that engine and the dcc and sound was already equipped out of the box? If it was what website did you get it on?

  • Are you planning to but any Athearn Genesis SD70ACe's?

  • yes just one to test it out

  • You forgot to put the snowplow on the front of the locomotive, lol.

  • that is sweet! Ive been trying to get one of these for 3 months but there all out of stock. Know any places that have them?

  • Do the MTH SD70ACEs have a quilable horn? I couldn't find anywhere that said it did or didn't have it.

  • no they don't have it

  • How much can this one engine pull?

  • it pulled 44 of my cars by itself with no issues, so who knows....

  • MTHs' are nice but I will wait for the Athearn Genesis SD70ACe's

  • i think MTH's will be better, but time will tell when athearn get's their version out

  • thats sweet dude o

  • there is no snow plow thats a dital prob other than that it looks great

  • It's included and user installed

  • DAM!! I've been waiting for 2 of these ever since they announced the shipping of them. Where did you order yours from?? I don't understand why they make us wait so dam long. I pre-ordered these back in February too. If you could, PM me the link of where you ordered yours. Thanks!!

  • lol another MTH hater!!!

  • You forgot to mention that is has no smoke unit.

  • Thanks for the Video. I will probably miss out because I have more construction to do on my layout. I've known Robert Forren for a long time. I live in Oroville Ca and my front yard is the UP mainline through the Feather River Canyon. I have more HO trains than Western Depot. You are more than welcome to check out my collection when you have some free time. My name is Tim Hardesty by the way.

  • 4 my bday im getting the csx sd70ace and a dcc system!!

  • You're lucky!;)

  • yes i am hahahaha

  • where did u buy urs?

  • Hey could you please try consisting the unit with another locomotive? im curious about how it runs with other units. Thank you

  • I fixed the coupler problem. Those of you that said weight is an issue were correct!

  • i agree with upac4400cw you need more weight if you place the car at the end of a siding with somthing to push up against it probebley will couple up

  • I hate Mc Henry couplers. I throw them away and put Kadee's on all my locomotives and rolling stock.

  • i'd be more than happy to take them off ur hands!

  • @sooline2551 me too. MC Henry LOOK good, but preform like shit. They uncouple, and break easily.

  • @sooline2551 i agree

  • @sooline2551

I hear you on that one! I did exactly that on my entire fleet moving from the stock Mc Henry couplers to Kadee #5 metal couplers. The interesting thing I discovered is that Athearn off the bat wasn't consistent with coupler type as far as shank height and length, which is a big reason why I did the coupler swap.

  • you need to put the plow.

  • I just put it on now. Thanks for the catch.

  • Perhaps close the knuckle on the locomotive, since that the coupler on the box car has a spring.

  • ANOTHIN TINNG U CAN DOO IS ADD MORE CARS TO THE CONSIST, SINCE THE ACe ISNT A SWITCHING ENGINE THEY'RE DESIGNED TO PICK UP HEAVIER LOADS, THAT ONE CAR IS TOO LIGHT SO IT JUST GETS PUSHED BACK

  • good point thanks. I got it working better now!

  • THE PROBLEM WITH THE COUPLING IS THE MCHENRY SCALE COUPLERS ON THE CAR, THEY'RE TOO SMALL FOR THE ENGINE COUPLERS, U MIGHT WANNA REPLACE THEM WITH KADEES. I PERSONALLY LOVE THE SCALE COUPLERS SO WHAT U MIGHT WANNA DO IS ADD AN ATHEARN ENGINE BEHIND THE SD70ACe SO IT WILL COUPLE EVERY TIME

  • thanks for the review dude, it'a great looking loco can't wait for my bnsf.

  • or may be just post a small video on slow speed capability of this loco? Thanks a lot

  • First , many thanks to your for your efforts.

could you please let us know if this was running at speed step 1 at 02:05?

    Thanks

  • Yes it was running at speed step 1 from 205 until about 214 ish.

  • Thanks for your reply , Slow speed is impressive, also it does not have a jerk rabbit start from stand still.

  • It's a sweet looking locomotive!

  • thats awesome! mabey you have to couple it right when you hit the boxcar couplers, idk just a guess

  • also. i didn't see any plow!

  • Nice vid! Do you like the paragon 2 better or the mth sd70ace better?

  • not sure about the plow. There is another piece that comes with it that might be the plow. I definately prefer the MTH SD70ACe over the Paragon 2

  • yes that should be the plow, in the front where you saw the two holes next to the MU hoses is where the plow should be. Nice!

  • Sweet, i am saving money to get 2 of them and then get them painted, nice job, very informational, 5 starsl

  • sounds pretty good. i like the speed step work. cool mechanical coupler!!!!!!!! damn
