My woman makes around 40k a yr. but she's paying on college and everything right now. Our property tax here killed our budget mainly, and I have tried to get night jobs around here for 2 1/2 mo.

Right now they have the guys that have been working there for like 20 years doing jobs in New Mexico and were from Indianapolis. I've been doing it off and on (off during winter) for 10 years now. @meade916 Mostly EPDM. But I can do it all. We rarely do hot mops here since the weather gets so cold. Not much use here for it. If we do any sort of shingle it's usually a big ol' church. Personally I prefer to leak call's and finishing work. I like to make sure everything is done right. I'm sure you know as much as I do how most guys in this business like cutting corners. I hate working on a crew with foremen that allow that bs. We have about 50 guys sitting at home now because of the foremen

@mac00gt The reason I say that is because these foremen got in their spots due to being family of the previous owner. They had no experience just trusted by a big wig. Now with the new owners they still hold their position and claim hours they don't work, claim work they didn't do, they have side jobs going and send people from our crews out to work on them on company time, making the job rough for the rest of us. They milked the company a the worst time and now a lot of us suffer from it.

One guy took 6 buckets of Glue in one day and said they weren't on the roof when he got to the job. I have talked to the owners about this two times now and it gets brushed off because they don't want to believe its happening. And yet they want to know where their money is going.. I really should find a new place but I'm at 18 an hour when we do work. :-/

We work with a lot of Firestone, Carlisle, and for the cheaper brand we use Genflex. Firestone is our biggest supplier though. We patch pretty much any roofing system and had been doing a bunch of school's which gives us prevailing wages.. that's what the foremen have been milking that hurt us so bad. Pays $30 an hour.
