  • That is a terrible therapist. A therapist is supposed to guide their patient, but she's flat-out leading Deb on and planting ideas. I almost wonder if she's going to turn out to be some kind of villain eventually.

  • @SpamWarrior3000 Actually i didnt saw her planting any ideas , She only suggested it to Deb and Deb came to that realization all by herself.

  • ewwwwww I think deb should just stay as his sister. I know they not. blood related but yuck! I really wish they kept lumen and dexter togethe. deb falling in love with dexter makes my stomach hurt.

  • @keshia1604 So you want to give up the most f*ed up, bizarre, tragic, intense, explosive love story in the history of television and for something boring and comfortable? Really, that's all you demand from your entertainment? Same old same old? Perhaps Lumen and Dexter buy a house with a white picket fence next to Quinn and Deb and they all have lots of babies and puppies and pretend the last 6 years didn't happen?

  • @Zedul lol :D

I really hated Lumen from the beginning and when she left Dexter i hated her more and more and i hated Dexter cuz he actually gives a shit about her.

And even if they r not gonna continue with this story line there is no way that Deb can go back with Quinn.

And dude no matter how hard i try to imagine how Dex/Deb relationship gonna evolve i just cant D:

  • @Zedul are u serious lol. you are very funny. dude get a life. it was just my opinion you know people do have those. go blow yourself for getting upset about me saying lumen should of stayed with dexter. its just awkward to me that deb falls in love with someone who was raised as her brother. and you are fucking crazy i see u stalking other people comments on here who also disagree lol. weird.

  • @keshia1604 Keshia, What are you talking about? Several of us were insulted out of the blue by some random poster so we defended ourselves. Here is the issue, you and the other people like you, seem to be able to only defend your viewpoint with insults and childish name calling, and bullshit statements. Like what you just did. I did not get upset at you, nor insult you. I asked you 4 questions, that's it. Now you are ranting and insulting me. Who exactly is crazy here? Grow up.

  • @Zedul well look i felt like you where insulting me so sorry if i said something rude. the white picket fense stuff is full of crap for anyone. but all i said was it was kind of weird to me that she like someone who was raised as her brother. then she was in love with lundy or watever his name was and that dude and this dude and blah blah blah. deb cool i have nothing against the characters that's just how i feel. so please lets just get over it.

  • @keshia1604 I am over it. You just have to remember, they strayed from the main story in the series a bit, because of the network... viewers like to see people fall in and out of relationships a lot, and I am sure the writers wanted it to be a shock and a surprise. And to be honest, it would be that obvious if you had not read the original Dexter novel that season 1 is based on, where he constantly talks about how beautiful Deb is, and they are super flirty with each other.

  • @Zedul yeah my friend told me about this show. i never read the book. i will have to get it. thanks for telling me though.

  • that look in debra's face (2:26) was pure, great acting.

  • what happend?.....I've just lost about 90% of my love for this show.... bummer

  • Bullshit. What happened with Dexter after season 4? Season 5 is crap, Season 6 was ok (not great but ok) until this incest nonsense. It doesn't make any sense. They are siblings for fuck's sakes. It doesn't matter they're not blood related, they were raised together since Dexter was like what, his son's age?

    RIP Dexter...

  • @Bauermayers There is no rational argument in anything you said, no basis for your argument, + a complete disregard for all scenes in all seasons that say the contrary. You are just spewing. In case you don't remember the flashbacks ... there were issues between Deb and Dex even as children, either she was adoring him or angry with him "YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER!" - not to mention kids at school picked up on it and were bullying Dexter and teasing that he was f*ing his sister.

  • @Zedul Do yourself a favor and watch seasons 1 through 4 again. It's obvious you completely forgot everything.

  • @Bauermayers I've watched every episode about 15 to 50 times. I can recite dialogue from episodes you probably don't even remember.

  • @Zedul Good, I suggest you keep watching them. Maybe someday you'll realize how stupid and forced this "twist" is.

Btw, so far you didn't mention a single moment in previous seasons that could hint she was in love with her own brother.

  • @Bauermayers Pathetic and insolent. I can name dozens. Take "Shrink Wrap" in season 1 for example. In that episode both Deb and Dex "make love" for the first time. Deb with Brian - which causes her to cry because he has Dexter's eyes, and she actually has to cover his eyes because she can't look at them, and then Dexter with Rita after he is hypnotized and flashes back to being accused of having sex with Deb, which triggers his first memory of mom-Deb is the key to his emotions

  • @Bauermayers The scene where Deb is picking out ties for him, matching the color of his eyes, the scene where she is asking what noises Rita makes during sex, the scene where Dexter tells Deb that her hair is beautiful, where Deb complains about Dexter spending too much time with Rita, the scene where she mixes up Dexter and Lundy when she is accused of having a crush, the scene where she flirts with Dex after he walks in on her having sex, any scene with Dex and Lila....

  • I just have to say that I really look forward to this development. This takes the show to whole new levels, there will be more risks and things at stake, it will be very different from the other seasons storylines And seriously fans, we are watching a tv show where the main character is a serial killer. The show highly questions morals and what's considered right, dont tell me that an adopted siblings relationship doesn't fit with that. pretty sure murder is worse than non-blood related incest.

  • @Harleymotor Very well said and put ^_^ The oxymoron of 'non-blood related incest' at the end was funny XD

  • Brian Moser: 'she is not your real sister, she is a stranger to you and she always will be'.

The whole purpose of kidnapping Deb was to show Dex that Blood is the most important thing that ties two persons. Brian assumed that Dex is completely without feelings like himself but he miscalculated himself because Dex does love Debra. Brian killed his own father John Driscoll, he was completely evil. Dex killed Brian his own flesh and blood to save Deb. I think that means something.

  • @schnippisch12 <---- this, Fabulous post by someone with insight.

  • weird

  • Let me say i fuckin hate when actors lead with "Look" (pause), shit earks me but wow i cant wait to see what they do with season 7. hmm almost exactly what the network would want. anybody who cant see past the manipulation of the show u guys need to watch more television adn open up ur eyes.. dumbasses

  • oooh Dex...got put in the brother zone..

  • This scene reminds me of Luke & Leia LOL

  • Great actress and a good twist in the story!

  • 2:14 umad?

  • 2:25 Best "Are you fucking serious?" Look I've ever seen.

Anyways, I hope they get together, I think it would just be the taboo cherry on-top of a generally taboo show. I love it!

I think she'll be able to get past the serial killer thing and still love him, but he's the cause of her dad committing suicide. Lundy's dead because of him, so is Rita. Those are the issues I think they'll REALLY be facing, unless of course they pull the old "Deb gets captured by cannibals" thing, needing saving.

  • @Greendogo What? Lundy is not dead because of Dexter... he got killed by the reporter, Trinity's daughter, whom Dexter knew nothing about.

  • @Zedul Of course you are right. Someone else mentioned it elsewhere and I kind of just included it into my list of people he got killed with out thinking about the fact that Deb's a cop and she and Lundy would have gotten shot regardless of Dexter's Kyle Butler routine with Trinity.

  • dexter is a pussy

  • If deb wants to have dexter, all she has to do is TAKE IT or I mean him.

  • Deb totally made this season for me. She was why I happy to watch the next episode of dexter. Without that, I'm not sre I would've watched the whole season!

  • AAAAWWWWWWKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAUUUUDDDDDDD

  • Both lived in a sickly, for me it would be nice to join, we are not so moralists, because the series is not absolutely

  • It's pretty obvious that the reason the writers made deb realize she was in love with dex so in season 7, she will not turn in him to the police because she realizes she is in love with him and will do anything to protect him. I totally ship them together.

  • I love how their divorced in real life and possibly getting together.

  • I really hope they don't end up together next season...

I loved the close relationship they shared as brother and sister so making it into a romantic relationship just does not feel right to me. Ahh well, should be interesting to see how Dexter reacts to it and either way I still can't wait for the next season.

  • fuck all narrow minded haters ,everything is taboo for them , i love DEB,I LOVE DEX I LOVE DEXTER

  • 2) It's unnecessary. What was unique about this show was that the central relationship was not a romantic one, but a loving relationship between a brother and a sister. Did the writers have so little faith in the strength of the relationship between Dexter and Debra? Was making romance part of the equation REALLY necessary? As if the impact of finding out Dex's secret wouldn't be hard enough on Deb as it is... he is the closest person to her, even if he is just a brother and not a lover.

  • @rgmasudal Love story between Deb and Dexter is definintely necessary. I never understood why a foster sister would love an adopted brother this much in the first place. It came out of nowwhere. Harry neglected Deb all her life because of Dexter, Dexter did not really care about her either, he always kept a distance. She should dislike him. Still during the show she desperately tries to get close to Dex and make him talk but he never really speaks to her. It was painful to watch.

  • @rgmasudal BS It was not a loving, normal sibling relationship. That is a complete fabrication and misrepresentation of the show. As noted by other posters it has always been a very strange relationship, and Dexter is both possessive and neglectful of her, he totally shuts her out because he is a SOCIOPATH and she has always just plain been infatuated with him since the pilot. If you thought this was normal, I am sorry... but no, it was always a weird love story.

  • @rgmasudal Loving relationship between brother and sister? Sorry, but it was anything but normal, it was a very strange, codependant kinda sick relationship from the very start. Deb opens up to dex completely, but dex gives nothing back in return. They've been running in circles in the last 4 seasons, but season 6 they were finally set on a collusion course.

  • They have great chemistry and I actually kind of like the idea of Dex/Deb. I also think they are what each other needs... I have two big issues with this, however. 1) I think it's unrealistic. In psychology, there is something called the Westermarck effect, where constant, early contact with a member of the opposite sex (related or not) leads to an aversion to sexual attraction. While it's only a hypothesis, and not a scientific law, we can all agree that it's pretty accurate. And 2)...

  • @rgmasudal Often, but not always. In fact there is a famous actress who's parents were adopted brother/sister who got married and had their own children. There are several marriages like this across the U.S. and thousands in Europe and Asia. Nothing bad comes of it because the children will be healthy since there is no biological relationship. Yes, biology is important here.

  • I don't care waht people say, i think it's hot :D and it still isn't incest. If you people find it distubing that Deb has feelings for Dex and you are perfectly okay with Dexter killing people.. you are what's wrong with this planet. I mean, i find both things disturbing.. but killing people is sure worse.. but hey it's a tv show :D

  • @Ladylyla I've not watched this season yet but isn't Harry the father of both of them? I can't remember exactly but it sure was implied if not said outright earlier. And that would make it incest.

  • @BarrytheSuperScot i reccomend you to watch it! No Harry isn't Dexters father, his biological father died in season one when they went to pack his things etc. Dex sent their DNA samples to masuka to test if he was his real fater and he was. I used to think also in the beginning that maybe Harry was Dexters real father.. but it seems to be pretty impossible now.

  • @Ladylyla Oh yeah. I forgot about that in Season 1. I look forward to this series, but I think I'll wait until it's shown in the UK in the summer.

  • @BarrytheSuperScot i couln't resist :D here in Estonia they just started showing 6th season few weeks ago, but i alreay watched it when it came out in USA.

  • its all the therapist fault. thats one of those type of crushes u have but dont realize it until some1 points it out. i bet she wasnt even thinking about that till the therapist opened her mouth

  • @mikeycknowsrnb2 I think there were plenty of little signs that deb might love dex long before the therapist even showed up. She dumped Quinn for one with no logical reason, her jealousy of Jamie, the shirtless scene in the apartment, the elevator scene in horse of a different color, the scene where she tried on the clothes. When the doctor asks her who she is to dex. dex is the first one she calls in Just let go after she is alone at the party, she alway tries to hold his hand.

  • @schnippisch12 yeah ur right abut most of these scenes , But the elevator was more like awkward and funny , Also what doctor scene and shirtless scene u talking about ? cuz i am trying to make a vid for Dex/Deb and it will include every scene that has any sign of how they truly feel to each other :)

  • She's really going to have to step it up next season... Deb's probably got every emotion conflicted right now.

  • I'm half-intrigued and half-disgusted by this new Deb/Dexter route. The fact that they're not related doesn't make it any less icky because they've had such a brother/sister dynamic for the past 5 seasons. I think that the writers built in Deb's epiphany about being in love with Dexter rather well - the therapist was a good method of tying that in. To be honest, I'm more curious about Dexter's reaction to her confession (if she still give one) more than her reaction to catching him red-handed...

  • how horrible was the therapist .. she kinda got her to consider it in all seriousness!

    ..

  • Comment removed

  • people seriously! get over it how deb "loves" dexter. we are rooting for a serial killer for gods sake! the whole show is "uncomfortable" or "immoral" but thats the point! this show is still AWESOME, SO GET OVER IT

  • this is so sick

Evan if there not biological siblings

they grew up together as siblings

  • such a damn cliffhanger this season!!! g2 wait a whole year 2 c wat happens. easier 4 the eseason 5 finale cuz it didn't leave on a cliffhanger at all. GOD ITS KILLING ME!!!

  • that bitch of a shrink planted this idea into her brain, its fucking inception all the way. When Dex saved the building from that attack of the doomsday killer, she saw Debra hug Dexter in this very intense way. She was in the background, i think she is one evil cunt who feeds on controlling people like this. She never gives answers, only by asking another question. Deb "that's strange isn't it" shrink replies "do you think its strange?" I love Debra believed her all the way, but she is evil

  • Ohh Deb, what a fuckery. <3

  • I'm perfectly fine with this development. And even if I wasn't, I'd still watch the show because I'd be a TRUE Dexter fan. One unusual twist between a bro and sis who aren't even bio related isn't going to ruin the whole series. For gods sakes people, get a grip. It's television!

  • If they continue with this Deb and Dexter being a possible couple next season , then I don't think I can watch the show anylonger. This whole story is very uncomfortable.

  • You know I am reminded of that 12th century poem, Knight in the Panther Skin, where the boy is adopted by the warrior king because he has no children but the a daughter is born, and the boy loves her, but she is his sister so they can't be together, yet she ends up engaged to his real life brother, whom he murders out of jealousy, then he has to go on the epic quest to absolve himself and win his foster sisters love. In central asia that thing is as popular as "Romeo and Juliet" in our culture.

  • this was a long time in the making ppl i've watched this show from season 1 -now and theres no way we couldnt have seen this coming debra has always wanted more from dexter than your average brother sister needs . its not one sided as well remember they make it a point to always have dexter in his own way tell debra what he is . i think next season dexter will have a new partner in debra thus pushing his feeling for debra to a new level i think we should prepare ourselves for them as a couple

  • Powerful scene, but her shrink should be shot. She was feeding her the idea of being in love with Dexter, planting it in her head. The idea is to reflect back and have Deb work it out, not enforce it on her! That type of therapy can be very very dangerous.

  • @1stThInKtWiCe Right and the type of policework they show on TV is likewise dangerous... as is the type of labwork. Sorry to say it takes weeks to get DNA back. There are no laptop computers that give you a five minute analysis! The fighting scenes are staged, people don't really fight that way, and it takes a crew of five people about 4 hours to set up the killroom on the show.... All that stuff just serves the damn story. Please! lol

  • Why can't she just go out with a good man like Rudy? She didn't know he was the ice truck killer, but guys like him would be a great boyfriend for Debra. It's too late anyway after season 6.

  • @KiamarMasterT i guess after the trauma she faced from dating him she avoids the good guy types. she probably goes for the guys who mean less to her so that she avoids getting hurt as badly.

  • what kind of therapist is this??

  • i love debra and i understand about her feelings with dexter, but she is one fucked up character. she had sex with an old guy, black guy, an attractive cop, now her...brother :(

  • @KiamarMasterT what do you mean 'black guy'?

  • @DessyTheTvFanatic From season 3

  • @KiamarMasterT They are not blood related

  • deb was the highlight of this season. She STEPPED up.

  • scene has touches of greatness then ocasionally small slips but in overall... great delivery by Jennifer Carpenter!... She has powerfull acting, if she an just stay completely in character and focussed at all times, she will be an all greater, becaquse she CAN deliver such INTENSE scenes, some of the most intesne and real acting i've seen... she just needs to be more steady!...

A big lover of the show, but this season havent been the best, but picked up some here in the end!...

  • @Schmidteren to me it seems like you know what you're talking about, are you a movie critic

  • @supraman34 I have no education in that regards but I watch alot of shows and movies wich I enjoy... It's just my oppinion... And well makes me happy if knowing other people agree... So thanks for the nice words I must say! :)

    have a good one!

  • SHE HESITATED ;D

  • Luv that show..
