  • Needs better tires

  • its a ford thats the problem

  • 4wd doesn't mean SQUAT without TRACTION.

TRACTION--if you have traction you can go almost anywhere, without traction, well, then you are Pat.

  • Good old Ford Mmm mmm mm. O.O

  • diff lock

  • OHHHH COME ON PAT YOU CAN DOING IT COME ON OHHH GO GO!!!!

  • come on bigO truck! :D

  • my lowered 96 jetta would make it up steep icy hills no problem. Tires make all the difference. I had some meaty aggressive deep snow tires. I now drive a 2011 F150 4x4 and with the oem goodyear tires it blows. Today there was only an inch on the ground and the rear end kept sliding. My jetta was soooooooooo much better. I need better tires for the truck.

  • suppose to put the gear in 1..... thats y i put fortera triple tred tires on my SILVERADO!

  • I had a similar issue trying to get up my driveway when it snowed about 6". My truck was only 2 wheel drive and was really hard getting up. I just gunned it for about 5 minutes with the speedo reading about 80 haha the friction of the spinning melted through the ice and snow and made a path for the tires to ever so slightly craw up the hill. Smoke was everywhere, but it was fun!

  • Never send a Ford to do a Chevy or Dodge's job

  • Nice video. You sad if a F350 cant do it i dont know what can...well, JEEP thats whos can.

  • @billytillery

Yea my Grand cherokee woulda made it up that easy... I drove in 2 feet of snow in 09 up a much longer hill then that with normal tires on..

  • its cause its a damn ford! try a dodge or chevy

  • differentials stopped him from getting up that hill. Lockers and I think he would have made it up with some decent controlled tire spinning. nice video.

  • chain

  • Those trucks are amazing on pavement, but in this case, his choice of tires and mainly overall weight worked against him. Good vid tho. He damn near had it.

  • Man I remember that little snow storm we got. I had fun climbing up hills in my old jeep also here in Olympia. Thanks for the video.

  • suck my 4matic nads lol

  • no matter what kindof truck/car, going up a hill like that in the snow is tricky

  • man i loved that winter storm we had i hope we get another this year like they say we are going to

  • To bad he doesnt have a winch on the front and hook onto something and reel yourself in

  • its a diesel so its alot heavyier than a gas so its gonna have more issues going up an icy hill

  • shoulda started punching the roof yelling "C'mon big red!!"

  • a chevy could

  • Now he needs gas

    haha

  • Subaru could do that easy. Weight distribution man. No weight in the back of that truck. Spinning tires = no traction.

  • what the hell kinda tires he runnin, maybe he should have some all terrains on there like i do, i have a hill like this and we have 14 inches of very heavy wet snow and i had no problems....

  • a ford could do it

  • Stupid open DIF!

  • This is people need to wise up and buy snow tires! Cheap extra insurance(better turning and stopping ability) and I guarantee he would have made it with snow tires. A RWD car might have even been able to make it.

  • @tomman757 READ the video description - he DID make it - this time and many times after this during this same storm.

  • @tomman757 he actually does have mud/snow tires. You can tell by the side lugs that he has goodyear wrangler mud terrains...

  • Needs lockers

  • ford could do it

  • Diff lockers would make a world of difference, but then I guess they would take the fun out of it....

  • ford could do it

  • lol youre killing gas!!!

  • get a toyota!

  • @TheJon308 get american! fuck a toyota!

  • Good steady drive for a 2 ton or more 4x4. Thing with people who have never driven them, is that they know nothing about control.

  • and its all due to long wheel base...

  • Was Pat mad at you for putting this on youtube ?

  • @honda30022 Nah, not at all. Unlike all you he was HAVING FUN not trying to be macho, prove his truck was better than others, that he could do it and you couldn't blah, blah, blah. He's only disappointed that I stopped filming cuz he got up the second after this video ended.

  • @Ferretocious hah my boss has an 05' Ford F350 with the powerstroke diesel. We're always towing him out with the half ton GMC work truck. Those trucks are just too friggen heavy for bad conditions like deep snow and mud

  • @DodgeMan360 WOW finally someone who gets it!

  • My quad would laugh at that in 2wd drive. GO PAT GO.

  • How about a Dodge?

  • @Kevinzrules dodge woulda got stuck in the level driveway...

  • i grew up in darrington wa.i was born in everett. and for all the people on here saying because its a ford it didnt want to make the hill. its not the make its the driver. they are not used to alot of snow in that area.

  • you needa get you some m80 lockers or somethin so you dont have an open deff.

  • Got to love them slip and partial slip disks.....

  • I have always figured out that going backwards with a 4wd or front wheel drive makes it go better. The fact its a F350 makes it harder to go in the snow. Throw 1,000lbs in the bed and it will make the world of difference. The 350 is just so heavy it actually is too much weight in the front and it needs to have it evened out in the rear

  • @MetalMulisha921 I bet your dad also does the 1/8 mile in about 3 seconds. not to mention his 444 has 366,000 miles, never had the heads off, AND it's got the stock clutch and turbo. is there even room for 4 chips in a stock ECM? post some vids when you have a badass truck of your own, kid.

  • @MetalMulisha921 SURE he would. As did Pat right after I stopped filming this. How sad all your lives must be if you have time to waste commenting on this silly video put on here just for FUN!!!

  • AGAIN, READ the video description - he DID make it up - this time and many more during this snow storm.

  • he had trouble because its such a heavy truck and the back end is so light, he would have done better with a 150 or even if he had 600 lbs in the back, thats what we do with our trucks

  • Chevy can make it!

  • What can make the hill? A Miata with someone that knows how to drive behind the wheel :)

  • @blah666ful LOL! A MIATA? You've got to be kidding! You'd rip out the undercarriage since they're so low to the ground!

  • Air down those tires Pat. Here in Norway we have these snow conditions for 20 weeks a year.

  • if only he had a subaru.... silly truck drivers

  • Oh no Pat!:(

  • Chain-up or park it :)

  • this is one of the few times that a Turbo Diesel does not help, none of the power happens until your in the higher RPM's.

  • glad we aint got no snow in l.a.

  • Man, park it at the bottom

  • haha even my corolla 4wd had done that hill like it was nothing

  • @sveine86 Yeah right. How do you know having not actually been here? It's WAY steeper than it looks in this vid.

  • @Ferretocious Because i live in norway.. its hills everywhere her.. soo thats why i got a 4wd instead..

  • jeep would make it right up

  • GO PETCO GO PETCO GO PETCO

  • thats what happenes when you have all open differentals

  • my honda could LOL

  • @fortmcmurraycash Typical man with a TINY penis - SO angry at the world!

  • Should've got the Limited Slip ^_^

  • Shorter wheel base would make it easy

  • gotta love those open differentials.

  • even he was having fun snow chains whould have helped alot =3-

  • should have bought a chevy

  • if a F350 cant do it what could??? a Dodge 1500....

  • it helps to give less throttle to gain some footing other wise u ain't going eny were

  • She mentions that if an F-350 with 4x4 cant make idk what can. Tires have a HUGE play in that so a half ton with super swampers would have not had a problem.

  • Dang how much snow do you guys get there?

  • @nathan12111 Not much NORMALLY but once in awhile we get a big dumping like this!

  • @nathan12111 Come to Canada. That's a normal run of the mill snowfall.

They should put some salt or sand in front of the tires. Works everytime.

  • feet can make it up the hill

  • go go go mmm oh no go ya ya ya ya mmm go haha hmm no hahah go pat go go go go go go...orgasmrgthryhyh

  • Ford power!!!

  • Looks like fun, lol Just like a guy in a truck cant do it the first time, hes gonna keep doin till he gets it lol I do the same thing it does turn into fun after the second time lol, thx for the vid

  • a little more gas will help my cummins would make that hill easily

  • Did he make it out?

  • @Captan6pack Up, you mean. And yes - read the video description.

  • everyone is judging the truck... haha its all in the tires for going through snow and this dude doesnt have them. chains work even better but illegal in some places. you can also get tires with metal knobs on them. with the right tire you can get through anything so when people bitch and diss cars they're just making themselves look dumb as fuck

  • Wow your stupid.

  • @lorenjacob1256 "Your" stupid? Your stupid what, moron? LOL Thanks for the laugh.

  • @lorenjacob1256 fail.

  • bring a gm in there hes climb it in no time

  • its a F-O-R-D what do think lol

  • if he locked his hubs he'd get out

  • Floor it pat floor it

  • GO PAT GO!!

  • its nice to have a caterpiller skid loader to clear my street

  • A Tank?

  • Where i live everyone has a plow on they're truck so if this was happening, someone would just plow the road as a favor.

Hello from Canada! lol, nice video

  • @spirit774 Wow that's awesome! Where in Canada are you? This is Everett, WA but I'm originally from Vancouver, BC :)

  • @spirit774 Learn how to spell canuck! Its 'their' not "they're".

  • @spirit774 you sir have just made my day

  • ...And then Pat realized he forgot to buy bread. Lol

  • i love these trucks, they are great but...tooooo heavy! a fiat punto 1.2 front wheel drive would run up that hill easy! in fact many small european cars would easy do it!

  • IM IN UGLY , LA, SO CA. SO I WISH I HAD SOME OF THAT WHITE SNOW

  • @ivan112116 Well this is in Everett, WA. This much snow is pretty rare here but once in awhile we get a dumping like this :)

  • CUSE I JUST LOVE THE WAY YOU SAID GO GO GO GO

  • @ivan112116 LOL thanks, I guess. This was quite amusing as I had been snowed in for several days LOL

  • i LOVE IT WHEN SHE HUMS AND TELLS ME GO GO GO

  • @ivan112116 when did I hum? And why are so many seeing this? Is this on some "I'm into big ass trucks" forum or something?

  • a jeep ..!!

  • its this easy chevy 3500 will get her up there :)

  • open differential = power to 1 wheel, almost always back passenger side wheel.

closed differential (also known as posi) = Power to both rear wheels

and if you dont believe it, dont argue it, google it.

  • a chevy duramax could

  • @Ferretocious lol that is good

  • i know what will make it idk a snowmobile?

  • @babycorn33 FEET - with traction boots LOL Again, he DID make it right after this :)

  • Bye, bye "cadrolls" - you've been blocked due to your rude comments :) So sorry your tiny penis has you SO angry with life!

  • backing up a hill will put the weight over the proper axles especially with a heavy diesel engine. idiots. besides, reverse is a much lower gear. we canucks know about driving in all conditions eh.

  • WTF she dont know what would make that hill I DO a Humvee HMMWV would do it without breaking a sweat no problem

  • @SgtMustang375 You guys can't see the true degree of this slope. Plus there's ICE under that snow. So sorry, over-testosteroned ones, even a Hummer probably wouldn't have made it.

  • @Ferretocious well I have seen with my own eyes a HMMWV drive under water it was amazing with the right driver I think it could have but if that fails then its all left to getting treads for it but its do able

  • a dodge 2wd would make that hill

  • pretty impressive considering the size of the truck

  • yeah, ford does have crappy diffs, most people who build ford trucks seriously swap them out for chevy, thats a nice truck thou a little more speed would have been fine, looked like he had a lot of fun thou... I know I would have lol

  • "Go Pat Go ah ah oh oh ah YEAH Pat get it up there YEAH oh ah oh Go Pat DONT fish tail..... I'm gonna get my kitty litter out for him!" Pat must treat u real well LMAO

  • @shaweesh He's a great guy. Shoveled my steep stairs one day when it snowed :)

  • @Ferretocious

with all that encouragement I'm glad to shovel ur steep stairs any time ;-)

  • You guys are retarded, it doesn't matter what car you have. It all depends on the tires. You try this with another car that size and you'll end up with the same results.

  • Tell you what - next time we get heavy snow and there's several inches of ice underneath all you puffed up over-testosteroned men can all try your trucks on the hill and see how well you do.

  • if a f350 cant go up the hill i dont know what could? a chevy for sure!

  • Damn right about having fun! Its a blast where I live.. I drive a lifted 4wd Ranger and we get close to 2-3 feet of snow at a time! Doesnt matter what truck you have, the only difference is whether you are locked in front or not.. front wheel lockers = ownage in snow! Sadly, I dont have them, but working my way up a hill in a foot of snow is fun, doesnt matter how long it takes ;)

  • 91 Landsmasher can... I KNOW it could :P

  • GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO, C'MON U BIG HEAVY TRUCK

  • should have bought a duramax

  • Throw out your cat litter? I'm sure that would have helped immensely! :D Lucky he made it up on his own....second thought you should have thrown out the cat litter for him. :D Traction is all that really matters in this situation. ;) Too bad your vid doesn't show him making it up the hill, which means he'll have to listen to all of of the truck bashing from now to eternity. lol

  • Snow tires.

  • pat needs himself a locking diff

  • now if that were as chevy it make it hahahaha oh what if it a dodge it probly make it hahahaha sorry but had to put my 2 cents in and chain might not be legal

  • @ballsdeep6969er Why is this video from three years ago suddenly getting lots of views again? Did someone post this on a forum somewhere?

  • @Ferretocious It was probably somehow put into youtube's random video recommendations list after people watched justin bieber... cause that's how that stupid thing works...

  • @ballsdeep6969er too light, plus if you were to slide back into a pole you would probebly bend the flimsy bumper and box right in.

  • @ballsdeep6969er every truck has its time its all about traction not what kinda truck it is?

  • @ballsdeep6969er lol aww be nice im pretty sure that it is the legendary million mile 7.3 and chevy aint that great lol it could be better now if he lifted it and put mud tires or dune tires "either are really good on snow" he wouldve done better man was just un prepared and dodge started goin soft after the 24v and the 12v cummins

  • "Pat's going to be mad at me when I put him on YouTube..." LOL!!

  • @Orion6104 I just emailed him that it's at over 130K hits LOL

  • @Ferretocious Excellent.

  • get some lockers and be done with it...

  • I want that truck!

  • That's the bad thing about heavy duty trucks is they weight a lot, next time tell him to try airing his tires down some for more traction

  • if he have tried it in reverse he would have made it at ones. even my suzuki baleno could have done that, i also live on top of a damn hill, in Norway, lots of snow, i hate it x)

  • What about some Chains to get up the hill?

  • Oh c'mon, use logic?? Pat was just having fun. Plus it's rare we need chains here. This is just the hill that goes up to his house and one other - so it's not like he couldn't park at the bottom and walk up if he didn't make it up. He did make it up just after I filmed this and he's mad I didn't film that because this video made him look like a "wuss" LOL

  • lol, damn he was so close to getting up. just for fun i would have taken a stab at it in my car even if its just a fwd mazda. i love seeing what it can and cant do, it wouldent have made it but would have been fun to see how far up i could have gone. wet snow over ice is a PITA. but great video.

  • A neighbour's kid tried to get up that hill in a BMW. Got stuck and backed the car up and ripped off the entire undercarriage of the car - that panel that goes all under the bottom :-0! Thanks for finally posting a realistic comment. All the other ones are from overtestosteroned guys claiming they could have made it UGG UGG!!!

  • Oh and this year we haven't gotten a flake. Sad :( We had a couple weeks of subfreezing temps but it was dry. Now it's too damn warm and raining :(

  • @jamestaggreen I would love to see you make it up that hill with your shitty passport. If a nice ford powerstroke cant make it nothin will.

  • cmon truck.

    its a pickup

  • As much as you want to think so - NO it would not have. This hill is FAR steeper than it appears in this vid and had a thick layer of ice under the snow. You guys are so freaking funny about this video. Like it's a video of someone having erectile disfunction and you all have to comment on how it wouldn't happen to you. What a testosterone fest!

  • I like them far better than assholes that leave rude comments.

  • the tires are fine. it's the fact that the snow is packed out and you won't get any traction. gravel it. he needs lockers too. limited slip isn't doing him any favors.

  • good looking truck, i love the powerstroke diesel, with a nice turbo sound thats really loud on a cold winter morning!

  • first its a piece of crap Ford, then the tires are also crap, and not a good driver to boot.

  • Just love all you opinionated men thinking that YOU could have done it blah blah blah. You don't have a clue how steep this hill really is and how ice there was under the snow. Get over yourself. And your tiny penis.

  • @Ferretocious Lol. Not trying to be a part of this argument. But have you ever heard of Blizzak tire company?? I would look into it before you say the hill is too steep. :D I love those tires. They got me through Colorado in my 4wd no problem.

  • No - because I could give a rat's ass about trucks. I was over Pat's New Years Eve and he said this vid makes him look like a wuss when he was just goofing around LOL

  • LOL.... I would hate for that to happen to me.

  • It's the weight of that really heavy super duty that was holding him back. A Jeep Wrangler Rubicon would've made it up that a lot easier. 4k lbs is a lot easier to get up that hill than 7k lbs plus. Plus the Ford only has limited slip differentials. A Jeep Rubicon has lockers.

  • is that asphalt or gravel under the snow
