This is Breakbeat, and has absolutely nothing to do with drum & bass except the artist and maybe a few of the production techniques.
Drumstep is where a dubstep drum loop has been sped up from its original tempo (~145) to drum & bass tempo (~170). Like dubstep, the drum stays on the 3rd beat, and bass effects and sounds are very similar. However like drum & bass, the production techniques and sequencing styles are very similar.
imprintz and CXO have such great tunes, I could dance all nice to this stuff.
